RE: 1962 Hustler Delta views
Ken, I understand. I really do. I am a nurse and have been for 27 years. These last 10 years I've been a Geriatric Care Manager with my own company. It's been my job to help look after and help guide families through the "tropical forest of healthcare"...as sick as healthcare is today we need all the help we can get. Please don't worry about me. Take your time in whatever you decide. I'll not die without the kit. Infact a fellow club member (Tom Scott) lent to me a 40 inch building board and a set of blue prints for the same aircraft. The blue prints are old and fragile so I went to Staples last Thursday and had them coppied. They turned out pretty good. I've build from scratch before (a Lanier Shrike) and can do it again. Just take care of yourself - and remember, all the healthcare people and the doctors are your employees!! If you don't understand something, make them explain it...it's thier job. Get back to me if you can. If not - stay close to prayer. Mike Kennedy

Trying to Find: Monsoon RC & Little Thunder
[image][/image] Hi Guys, I'm hoping someone can help me. Two or three years ago I was in contact with "Larry" (don't know his last name), from Monsoon RC (his own small company?). He produced a very small and very quick foam airplane for sale. As time went on, I purchased two of the "single" motor aircraft & one of his new "concept twins". See photos below. I love these small planes and want to purchase more of them - so do some of the guys in my club. The wing-span, on these planes, is just shy of 14 inches and powered right ( Medusa 12mm X 5300) she will reach seeds of around 60 mph - 70 mph!! If I remember correctly, during the time I was dealing with him, Larry moved his opperation from New Mexico to Michigan - I think I have that right. Anyway, maybe more than a year ago, I think I had several e-mails from him after he moved to Michigan, but I can no longer locate him. Does anyone know Larry from Monsoon RC - or his Lil' Thunder?!??

RE: 1962 Hustler Delta views
Hi Ken, Thanks for responding to my question. Sorry about your son wanting to keep the kit, but, first: Do you think the old bulsa is still strong enough to be built and fly safely? And, secondly, I might be interested in purchasing the kit. Would you be willing to let me buy the kit and ship it to me for $100? I live in Cincinnati, Ohio. I don't know how much the shipping would be, but I guess we could work out something. Thanks!! Mike

RE: 1962 Hustler Delta views
Hi Ken, Do you still have the Hustler kit? I may be interested. Last evening was our club membership meeting. During the meeting I picked up the blue prints and a building frame for the plane from a club member. Last week another club member was at our field flying one of the Hustlers (at a very high rate of speed!!) and I was impressed. As I asked around I was pointed to the club member I first mentioned. I hope to start building it this fall, after our 52nd anual Flying Circus, here in Cincinnati, Ohio. This will be my third scratch biuld. If you do still have the kit please reply. Thanks, Mike Kennedy

RE: (how to?) Phencepost Combat plane from Hattrickrc.com
Hi Guys, I've been following along from the side-lines. I did try to go to the Hat Trick RC web-site and was told, by my search engine (AVG) - there is no such place as "http://www.hattrickrc.com" . Am I doing something wrong? Has the company closed - not in business any more? Thanks!! Mikie 1

RE: Good matching paint for Ultrakote
JimO - Last year I had to do a rebuild of the engine nascels of a World Hobbys DH-88. The nacels are made of plastic / fiberglass and I had gone to many measures to try to find the right color of red. Finally I found Nelson Hobbies (http://www.nelsonhobby.com/hobby_paint.php). I called them and was very impressed with thier knowlege of what I needed. Finally they sent to me a water reducable Polyurethane paint that was as close a match as I could find. They've been in the business quite a few years and I know they'll be glad to talk with you about what you want. Call them (817-431-1038 / in Keller, Texas). Mike Kennedy Cincinnati, Ohio

RE: Pics of your Hobby shop or room?
Trilabite - Wow!! What a great looking shop!! I wish I had that kind of space in which to build airplanes. BUT, I do also have a motorcycle. It's a very dependable 1999 Yamaha Road Star (50,000 miles) I love it - actually, the weather here in Cincinnati Ohio has been so warm I rode it Tuesday, all day to go see my clients. I've recently been spending so much time with RC I haven't ridden as much as I used to. I'll have to fix that. Nice photos!

RE: Sig Astro Hog @ 150% ?
Although I talked about a "Hog" at 150 % ... Why not go to 200%? I've built two nitro planes from scrathc, and they both fly very well, I feel pretty sure I could take my time and really create a masterpiece. If done right, at any size, it should fly very well. I love the idea of maybe one BIG ENOUGH to fly around in!!! LOL!!!

RE: Sig Wonder
Now it's early morning, here in Cincinnati, Ohio. I'm posting these photos now before I have to go to work. I'll finish - for now with these two last pohots. I'll return later today to continue to put us more pictures if you want them. In the mean time, if anyone has any ideas how I might be able to post more than two at a time, please let me know. I did try to use the BETA up-load link, but it didn't respond to me this morning. These last two photos show how I've set it up to make the vertical stabelizers easily replacable. Yep, those little triangle blocks are hard wood.

RE: Sig Wonder
Hi guys, Well, I finally finished my Sig Wonder and flew it last Sunday. It was a blast. I've had a subscription to this thread from the begining and have been watching the posts. I even wrote to you all severad weeks ago about the stand I'll use; not only for the Wounder, but I'll also keep using it for my Lanier Shrike and my Battle Axe. Anyway, my Wounder finished out at 2 pounds 4 1/2 ounces, she's powered by a Magnum 15 XLS using an 8 X 3 combat prop - with a max RPM around 17,500 on 10% nitro. I covered her with Monocote and I used only one servo for the aelrons. I'm a little strange in that I like to be able to replace body-partseasily if something gets broken (note the horizontal stabelizer, vertical fins and the hatch plate over the gas tank). The plane isn't the fastest plane I fly, but she's pretty quick (70 - 80 mph?). I have lots of photos to post and I don't know any other way than to just put them here...well, here goes:
