RE: Adf.ly needs to go. Admins, will you look into this?
I know, but I was under the impression that it was inactive - as in, even members can no longer post videos

Last I heard, the RCU video site had been abandoned due to lack of participation. Search for RCUniverse on You Tube and you'll find the lastest review videos even before the reviews are posted

RE: Fueling a Cowled Engine
Counting the cranks is a good way to avoid spilling too much. Let's say that on an empty tank it takes 100 cranks. Then you know that when you hit 95 or so, you'll want to slow down. You could stop at 95, bit I like to be sure the pump is still working (you know how those things can slowly go bad) Then after each flight, count again. You'll usually find that you use about the same amount of fuel each time. So maybe, after each flight, you'll need to slow down at around 50 cranks. Yea, you'll still spill a little, but as long as you're going slow, it won't come out too fast.

Sounds like you're making it too complicated. Why not just use one of [link=http://shop.dubro.com/products/productdetail/Heavy+Duty+E/Z+Adjust+Strip+Aileron+Horn+Set/part_number=558/101.0.1.1.5161.5164.0.0.0?pp=12&]these[/link]?

The problem I see is: Can you fit two servos, side-by-side, in that small area between the elevators?

I would trim off some of the forward edge of the canopy. That will allow it to sit lower

RE: How do you get a new engine broke in?
I do like Dick said, but after one tank (providing the engine is running well) I just start flying it - leave it rich for the first three or four flights, then you should be good to go.

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***
I like the look of the canopy moved back, but I've compared some pics side-by-side and I think I still like the original better - Although I did notice that depending on the color scheme, the moved canopy could look better. As for permanent mods, GP did some of them with the Ultra Sport Plus, which didn't sell very well. I asked my friends in R&D about updating it and they said it was considered, but it was decided that the Ultra Sport airframe was (as they put it) "tired", so rather than revamp it, the designed the Revolver in it's place. Jim Samdquist of Great Planes let me fly his Revolver at the 2010 Watts Over Owatonna event and I have to admit, it's an excellent plane. (They even used a variation of my color scheme on it) :D

RE: Help....Warped elevator
These things are jig-built, so more often than not, the warp was caused by the covering to begin with and re-heating should fix it.

Philip, please upload your pics directly into the system instead of linking them to Photobucket. Linking them takes up a LOT of bandwith and really slows up the page-load time. To load the pictures directly, follow these steps: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_2629917/tm.htm

RE: Help....Warped elevator
I think it looks fixable, but you might need two sets of hands. have one person hold the elevator and twist it the other way (wearing gloves) while the other person applies a heat gun to the top and bottom
