RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!
ORIGINAL: J0EC00L Mpower, You're gonna want a hitec metal gear servo. Yes there is a direct fit. Ask skora or GForce, I know one of them ran theirs with one. I had one in mine, just can't remember the model. I think it ended in a 25?? Just make sure to get the metal gear servo, high torque! Night and day compared to the traxxas. Just know that I think only a handful of hitec servos are waterproof... I could be wrong though, as I haven't done my research of recent, so double check to be sure. Also. When it comes to upgrading your esc - the sidewinder by castle is perfect. You could put a mamba max pro. But it's pretty much overkill for the mini e Revo. Stick to a 1/10 esc! Unless............ You install the tenbol motor mount and go with a 1/8 size motor. Then you'll want the mamba max pro! But at that point, your pretty much asking to break everything on your merv. Joe
thanks for the advice but the stock vxl is very fine for me. you didn;t have to modified nothing to fit? somebody can tell me the excact model please. thanks
ORIGINAL: TheKennyKiller
ORIGINAL: Mpower25
ORIGINAL: gforce2448 Very cool! The center diff will improve handling but will pretty much eliminate any wheelies. I installed one in my Merv for that purpose. I run it mainly at the track and wanted to keep all four wheels on the ground. It does improve cornering quite a bit. I also like that I can change the angle of the truck

I run it mainly at the track and wanted to keep all four wheels on the ground. It does improve cornering quite a bit. I also like that I can change the angle of the truck while in the air when jumping, just by tapping the brake or throttle. This makes it easy to land jumps very smoothly or do front flips if you desire. Good luck and hope you enjoy your Mini Revo.
thanks for the quick response. about the low voltage cut off, do you know how to do it? how do i know is set correctly? thanks

RE: Upgrade Volcano S30 Engine
ORIGINAL: Kristoffer_E That .28 is just nuts!!! With the right gearing, you could get MASSIVE bottom-end; it's already crazy enough! When you say "convert the rotary carb to slide carb," do you mean just buy a different carburator, or actually modify the stock one? Also, I wonder if the SH .28 would bolt up just the same as the Axial, because I've had great luck with my SH .18, and I can get the .28 for ~$90 with Redcat's engine replacement program. As for the pipe, what would happen if I used the stock tuned pipe on my truck, and just bought a header that will fit the new engine? Would the pipe (designed for my SH .18) not be of the proper size/shape for a larger engine?
the same carb you modifed the linkage to work on the servo. about the fit with the SH i don't know but for the same price you get brand new axial .28. the pipe savage x 4.6 is very cheap.

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread
ORIGINAL: hudsonaj36 Hi, have been searching for an answer but can not find it. My rear dogbones on my old Himoto Eldorada/Volcano bottom out in the cups before my suspension does. So it seems like my dogbones are to long. They measure about 90mm in length. Any shorter dogbones available? Are the newer Volcano dogbones longer than older Himoto's? Also I know about the fuel tubing trick and that is not the problem. Thanks
mmm is like 87mm volcano s30. search on the redcatracing web pag, in the manual and then write down in ebay.

RE: Is this a good deal on a HPI Savage 25?
ORIGINAL: 209mark123 I have had my savage x 4.6 for well over a year now. They can withstand a beating and that goes for jumping mudding and even high speed crashes. I had a redcat racing earthquake 3.0 I barely got 2 full tanks in and I gave up on it cause everything kept breaking, bought a savage and never looked back. I have had to replace some small things along the way but overall out of my cars and all my friends cars it is the toughest. RE: RC18T2 RTR battery lipo upgrade
ORIGINAL: SyCo_VeNoM the chargers under $30 generally all need a external 12V 6A+(I'd say at least 10 to be safe) power supply which can jack up the cost quite fast to one that has the power supply built in. I own 2 of the turnigy power supplies (I use a server power supply to power mine) because it with the power supply it was cheaper than the cost of a multi battery charger. Also if you order from Hobbyking make sure you pick one that says USA on it or you will pay exorbitant shipping costs to get it in a relatively moderate time, or wait over a month for it to come on the slow boat from china with the cheaper shipping. Versus the $6 shipping (on my last order from them) that I received in 3 days(my last order from china for comparison shipping was $45 for the same delivery time). As for the battery yes you will need a different connector. Also you should get a Lipo low voltage alarm off ebay for $4 or so that plugs into the balance port on the lipo, and monitors the cells and tells you when to stop driving so you do not damage the battery. That is unless you have a brushless setup that has a low voltage cutoff.
thanks for the help. I finaly bougth the ZIPPY Flightmax 2200mAh. I just need a better run time because stock only 12 min :S didnt cactch you about the charger... sorry newbie jaja. about the alarm i have to plug in the battery rigth? thanks
