RE: Powered Glider Suggestions?
I recently purchased an Ogar from the Wings Maker distributrd by Airborne Models. It's has a 99 inch wingspan with a 480 motor using 3s 1800 to 2600 Lipos. It comes with the servos installed and is pretty much receiver ready. The wings come in a wing bag. It's a bit pricey at over $200 but it came postage free. That saves you over $30 as it is a large, heavy package. The boxes are heavy-duty and it also has a wheeled stand for paved runways or just for display. I hope to fly mine in a week or so. There was a review of this aircraft here on RCU.

Never did find the movie. It's on VHS and I don't have any more of those. I'm strictly Blue/Ray and DVD.

O.S. 30 Brushless
I recently got a hold of an O.S. 30 brushless motor. It seems to be a very well-made motor as it should be from O.S. I had tremendous luck with their glow engines. I'm used to AXi and EFlite brushless motors and am just wondering if anyone has any comments or special tips for this motor. Thanks.

Turnigy 4250-700 ???
I bought this Turnigy 4250-700 a few months ago and forgot about it. There are no instructions whatsoever. I went to the HobbyKing website to find information but it isn't even listed. I generally use EFlite, AXi, and the occasional Rimfire. You can easily find the glow equivalents for these motors plus recommendations for battery size and prop size. This has nothing. I don't understand kv and the sizing that the makers use. I just want a motor to run well without a lot of hassle. Can anyone out there give me some information on this motor, prop recommendation, battery size, and aircraft size? Thanks!

RE: Birds crashin planes
Red-wing blackbirds nest in the grass and are very agressive in defending the nest. They'll take on many larger birds they see as a threat. I've seen them chase crows away and they are three times as large as the blackbird.

RE: Park Zone's Icon A5
Thanks for the flight information. I think I'm going to put the wheels on as our grass field is in pretty good shape. Love the shape of this aircraft. In many ways, it's an updated version of the old Republic Seabee with th rear end of a shark.

RE: Park Zone's Icon A5
I just finished the assembly of mine and was going to ask the same questions you just did. It was an easy assembly. The hardest part was making a connecter for the EC-3 connecter they use on the ESC. I'm not a fan of these connecters and usually swap them out for Sermos or Anderson Powerpoles. Not enough room in this case. I finally settled on making an adapter with a couple of short lengths of wire, Sermos connecters on one end and female bullet connecters on the other with a bit of shrink tubing. Works great. I left off the landing gear as I fly from a grass field and the supplied wheels are pretty small. I'm using a Spektrum AR600RX bound to a DX8. I hope to fly it soon.

RE: Which connectors?
The two pictures I enclosed show the adapter and the second the adapter conneced to the EC-3 connecter. The adapter is simply female bullet connecters from a disassembled EC-3 in an ESC package. These are soldered to short lengths of 14 guage wire and then crimped to the Powerpoles. The bullet connecters are standard EFlite items.

They don't without adapters. I generally cut off the Deans or such and crimp on Powerpoles. I didn't have enough room to do this with my Icon A5 so i made an adapter. Would you like a picture of the adapter?
