Help with cg on katana!
Hey guys! I just assembled an omp katana v2 46. Looks like a nice bird, but the kit did not include a manual. Anyone that knows where the cg is on this plane? Thanks :)

RE: Dynaflite Butterfly build
That sounds good! I just ordered mine, cant wait to build and fly her! The price is 31 dollars and they have 5 kits left in stock. So maybe I`ll just order a few more just for fun :) I used monokote on my daydream, but it looked awful after a few hours in the sun, so I just recovered the wings with ultracote. So much better! Is it a stupid idea to add ailerons on the butterfly? I guess it flies just fine with just R/E but adding ailerons will make it easyer to fly in wind.

RE: Dynaflite Butterfly build
Looking good! I just love the looks of the butterfly! How is it to build? I really wan to buy one, they are on sale at my lhs. I have built a dyaflite daydream, it flies very good and the build was so much fun. But I dont want to throw myself into a build that is beyond my level of building skill, so a little report on that one would be nice:) Here is a pic of my daydream:)

RE: Irvine tutor 40 question
11x7 for speed, and 13x4 to slow things down:) Prop choice is very individual, but those mentioned is a good starting point. 10x7 is way too small for a irvine 53.

RE: Raptor 30, Adjustment Problems.
You can fly your raptor on 0% nitro, if you are just flying aroound I think its a waste of money to buy 20% nitro fuel. Just my 2 cents:)

RE: New Superstar 40 Daddy!
The landing gear on the superstar 40 is like most trainers, and will do fine:) If you put it down nice and soft, it will not bounce.

RE: New Superstar 40 Daddy!
Your OS 40 la will deliver enough power for your trainer. I had a 60 size trainer that I flew with a 46 size engine and that was more than enough! I want to wish you good luck, there is no way back now:D You`ll get hooked! The superstar is a great trainer, so I think it will please you:)

RE: Fair price to pay for building an ARF
I`m kinda shocked that people here actually do this for money. Half the joy of this hobby is to help other people who needs it just as much as you did when you were first starting out in this hobby. Last year a guy from the club asked me if I could rebuild his raptor 50 after a heavy crash. I wouldnt even dear to say that its gona cost you mr. Instead we had a fun time rebuilding it, and I could tell that he really learned alot from it. Taking money for this is just a shame! If you want to help someone, say yes. If you do this for money, say no.

RE: the Cub Curse is over!!!!!
I`m sure you`ll be just fine flying a cub at your field. Trainers do also float you know:) You should do some sideslip landings. Once you manage to do that well, you will have waaay more controll over your airplane!

RE: Pattern IMAC F3A questions
When I started flying pattern, I didnt know how important it was to have the radio setup 100% correct. So no matter how much I practiced I never got any better. This was becouse my dual elevator servos had different a different epa value on the transmitter. They were not syncronized, which resulted in a twisted loops all the way. Hehe, good old times:D Anyway, an ideal first pattern plane is the accipiter 90 by phoenix models. Its not that expensive and it flies great with a standard 91 2stroke without pipe. It really is a great looking and great flying model!

RE: Phoenix model Trainer 60?
Seems like the 46 was more than powerfull enough:) To be honest, I dont notice any less power in this 60 size airframe than in a 40. I`m very happy and the plane flies amazing:)
