RE: Not restarting after running
Ok will check that out. I just did a tear down and clean up last month. the lines are clear of any obstructions. I also put in a new in-line filter the old one that came with it did nothing it did not have any filtering material in it so I had not been using it the got another filter off a friend.

Not restarting after running
Ok got my LST up and running. Have figured out the tuning of the MACH 26 for the most part. It runs great and starts up easly when I first start my run. Just loving the whole thing. Ok the but is my question. After running for a while and I manage to stall it out fliping it over and not getting to it in time as and example. My problem is getting it to start again. It sounds like its trying to fire up but not quite catches. If I let it cool right down and then try again it fires up. Or if I had not been running it long and manage to stall it out it will fire up right away. I use a onboard ignighter that gives a auditable sound letting me know if the plug is good or not. So other than one time the plug is in good shape just put a new medium plug in it. Any ideas that you can thing of me checking?

RE: Aftershock hub striped
Never bad questions gaining knowledge is what sites like this are for. Yes there is a difference between 1/10 and 1/8 wheels for one the 1/8 are bigger. I can almost fit my 1/10 wheel rubber and all inside the rim of my LST's wheel. FYI factory setting for the slipper nut is one full turn out from all the way down. :)

RE: New to the hobby with an Aftershock LE
Sounds like your having fun and it is a good thing that you like to tinker it is a big part of the hobby. I just got my LST last end of summer. It was a used one and had allot that needed replaced. I also have an electric 1/10 scale traxxas it is over 16 years old and about two years ago a off road rc track opened up. Found out how outdated my system was. Upgraded my power source and electronics. Along the way managed to hit a solid concrete step. Managed to break the A-arms and bent all the pins that held them. So breaking parts by hitting objects that do not want to move is par for the course. :) One thing for sure is each model has it own quirks and they evolve as you break or just upgrade parts. In the end you end up with a truck that reflects your likes and style. Read what others have done and pick what suites you. Oh ya I am still working out the quirks in my LST; it is not shifting gears right... :)

RE: battery question for stock Rustler.
What Rustler model did you get?? Newer ones can handle 9v batteries. It is worth upgrading to a good charger can speed up your charge times and if you get one that can do Lipo as well you will be set for that upgrade to. The stock charger is slow and can get quite hot. Upgrade chargers usaly also have an alarm to let you know when charging is done. For more good info come join us over at the Rustler page. :) http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_1966715/mpage_436/key_/tm.htm

I would second that about contacting proline about that easy rip. I have not run my raptor body yet been using it for money shots till I fully wreck my old body. The old body still doing ok though is starting to rip some.

RE: LRP .32!!
Waiting to see your review to. I am in the market search for a new replacement for my original .26 mach. Previous owner used and abused it. Question I do have about engines is can you put the spin start on any of them or do they need to be designated as spin start ready?

RE: Official Rustler Thread
I have been running the MIP dog bones. They work great the only time I have had them fall out is when I have broken a shock mount eye. The thing to do is make sure you lock tight the set screw because they like to back out but a little lock tight and that is fixed. :) Lock tight is a rc friend.

RE: LST Rebuild
Well with the nice weather this past week have got some time to go out and run. Was running my LST and it kept stalling out when I accelerated Lucky me my friend has lots of experience with nitro and helped figure out why. The high speed needle kept winding it self back down and leaning it right out, so he said will need new O ring for the needle. Well with some experience with seals I decided to try an experiment with it before replacing it. What I did was pour some nitro fuel 20% in a small rubermade container and then soaked the needle with the O ring on it over night. Well it worked quite well almost to much. Is a nice snug fit now and does not turn with the vibration. Took it out today and worked like a charm. Now just need to work on tune it properly. It likes to stall out when i do a 180 spin turn, and sure enough it usually the farthest point I am running it to. Then it likes to give me trouble starting again. Well thats the fun part figuring whats wrong and how to fix it. :)

RE: Official Rustler Thread
If you unplugged any wires make sure they are reconnected the same way again. Another fun thing my friends and I noticed is that you need to have you transmitter on first before powering up the esc it makes a difference. Those would be my first to things to check also if you are not running lipo you may have on the low voltage cut off on that would mess with it the same way.

RE: LST Rebuild
Will open it up come warmer weather. There is a fair bit of air flow with the hight in the cold. I used my Dremel to cut a hole over the gas tank for access. A temp gun is on my list of things to get soon as hrs at work increase and have a higher cash flow. I think I will cut out one of the side windows above the spin start so I can see it when trying to start with the body on. Right now the glare makes it hard to see. :)
