RE: OFFICIAL Redcat Racing TRUCK thread
ya, i took my clutch apart and the spring attaches to itself, if you run it w/ out the clutch spring the car or truck wont idle in a stand still it will always be engaged and will always keep rolling and not sit still. the clutch spring on mine broke so i just bent the end of the clutch spring and re attached it and it works just fine. i dont know if it affects the shifting of gears i would think sao some how i also knw it has something to do with centrypital force to shift gears there's my 2 cents, if i am wrong anyone correct me Thanks Logan

RE: Ghetto fixes
i broke the a arm off of my truck and i used zip ties and alluminum ducktape to hold it together, i also shredded a section off of teh tire so i stuffed teh tire with trash bash and covered teh opening in teh tire with duck tape.

RE: nitro truck
the cars, trucks and buggies that you are all talking about are not redcat or himoto. The real name is actually Hispeed or HSP. They are made in the South of China and are marketed under whatever name the marketer wants if they are willing to buy enough of them. The VX motor is actually made by a company named Chun Yang in Taiwan. They actually make some motors for other top companies such as Academy and Mugen Seki. They also make the FEEND motors you can see in Australia.

RE: nitro truck
dont buy the himoto i have one and they break really easily and the replacement parts are hard to come buy you have to order them from teh website, go with a revo or a savage even though it is more expencive they will last longer and the parts are easier to come, like you could go to the local hobby shop and get them there

RE: OFFICIAL Redcat Racing TRUCK thread
Darin i recieved my volcano stx. 2 weeks ago and i have yet to get it fully operational. first it was the remote and the reciever, next it was the engine, and now the servo is stripped i have done everything imaginable and i still cant get it fully operational. i have ordered new parts, i have taken it to the local hobby shop, called the company and got no personal assistance, and scoured the instruction manul and the website for help. i feel that i have recieved a defective truck, and would appreciate if i could get a full refund.

RE: volcano stx gearbox
i have a volcano stx also but i havent had any problems like that though, i wouldnt think it would be a problem as long as you get the exact same size and same number of teeth on it. i dont konw where you buy on though, they dont carry redcat supplies at any of the hobby shops around here.
