RE: Crashed my TRANSMITTER looking for parts.
I watched a newbee with a slope glider, run towards the cliff glider in one hand transmitter in the other and heave the transmitter off the cliff.

Crashed my TRANSMITTER looking for parts.
Yup... crashed the ole transmitter. It fell off the hood of my jeep and broke off the right stick way down inside the gimbal. Where can I find a parts breakdown and order parts for it. I believe I can change it myself, should be just a little soldering. It is (was) a Futaba 4yf. The right Gimbal, spring loaded L\R U\D. I tried glueing the stick back but it is broken further down inside. Sad day when you crash the transmitter.

RE: Info on ATC-2K video camera
Yeah I played with it today and the resolution is no where as good as the Sure Shot that I have been using. I kinda liked the streamlined look of the thing and like you said You can't beat free.

Info on ATC-2K video camera
My neighbor gave me a Oregon Scientific ATC-2K video camera last night. I was wondering if anyone here has used them before and what you think. Thanks.

Looking for 3 1/2 -4" tundra tires
i am looking for some 3 1/2" or 4" tundra tires. Weight IS a factor. Has anyone used scale RC Car wheels on an RC airplane? I'm sure they would support the weight and landing forces, what about adapting the axle hole to 5\16 wire? I'm sure someone here has tried it. Let me know how it worked. Thanks.

My Futaba 4yf4 TX gives no indication on how much it is charged. Its either green or red. How do I know it is fullly charged? How long do I need to leave it charging (not LiPo). Thanks.

3 Blade electric prop
I am currently using a 10 x 7 electric prop with great results. Thinking of changing to 3 blade for a more realistic look. Are they available and would I need to change size? Thanks

Flag towing question
I want to tow a flag behind my paraplane. I have a nice 8" x 12" fabric flag. How do I rig it? I think (very often wrong) it should be tethered to the paraplane from the upper left corner and then drop a weigt (how much) from a short line from the lower left corner. Watcha think?

RE: Powered Parachutes
I just got my Seabreeeze parachute and gondola. I am having a ball flying it, with no prior experience I took it out and had a very successful flight. I now have a Canon digital camera mounted on it and the videos are awesome. The customer support you get from Troy is not like any support you will find at anyother business today. He goes way beyond the term "customer support" His website is amazing you can spend days there looking and reading. Check it out you wont be sorry. Seabreeze Parachutes is THE PLACE for paraplanes, the product quality and support are phenomonal.

motor wants to start backwards
I am new to electric so and I need your oponions. I have a Turnigy motor and ESC that I have run about 4 times and all was well. This weekend as I would apply throttle s l o w l y it wanted to run backward, and seemed to have a lack of power altho it was running (by ear ) at the same RPM as before. My 10 x 7 prop had a small chunk missing from the tip, would this cause a loss of power? and whats up with the wanting to start backward? Thanks

I got up Sat morning to go fly, charged up my LiPo and the rain began. Rained the rest of the weekend. Now I have a LiPo battery with 12.6v on the meter, what can I do with it? If I put it on the Triton to discharge down to 11.1 v for storeage that will take quite awhile with me watching the battery, Can I run the motor till it is down to 11.1v or just keep it charged up till next weekend? What to do What to do?

RE: Freeflight Forum
This will probrbly require an OLD free flight person. Many years ago (probrbly in the 70's) One of the magazines an an article on something like "The ugliest Free Flight" It was an airplane built from stock balsa pieces. Seems the wing was a stock piece of 1/8 or maybe a little thicker balsa 3' long with a leading edge sanded in and a trailing edge with a sanded taper. It was glued on a 3' piece of maybe 1/4 by 1/4 stock strip for the fuselage, a horiz stab was glued on the underside in the rear and a rudder was slabed on to the side just above the horiz stab. It had a .049 on the nose with a cut off eyedropper tube for the gas tank (short run), and that was it. I built one and I rmember it flew wonderfly. I had many super flights untill one day it just flew away in a thermal. Wish someone had those plans or something simular, I would sure like to build another one. Thanks.

Help with battery plugs
I am a newbie to this electric business. I am ready to buy my first lipo battery and need some info. I am not sure how many plugs come out of a lipo. IMy ESC has a male plug that looks like a "T" So I suppose that my battery should have a Female plug like that. Also I believe it needs a Futaba plug to connect to the reciever in the batt position. Also to plug the battery into the charger to recharge where does that happen? Are these standard plugs that come with every battery? do I need to specify what I need when I order the battery? What is the "T" looking plug called? Whew!! Thanks for the help poor old newbie will get there someday.

Other than LiPo
I am very leery about using LiPO batterys, also the cost is terribly high. What could I use to replace an 11.1v 4350 mah LiPO with. Maybe something in NIMH? I am sure I woulg get a shorter run time but I can live with that., and weiht is not really a fatctor.
