RE: How to convert an ATX power supply to rc use
Hey Guys, I need some help-I'm making a DC power sourse from a computer power supply. I have read all types of helpfull info and have even done this before but this time I got a Dell power supply ( circa 2000) and I can't figure out which wire I need for on/off function. This model of PS does not follow the industry standards so I don't know what colors to use. Anyone out there have experience with an old Dell?[:D]

RE: PSU as power supply, FYI
The price you guys are playing are out of this world[:D] but I would like to share with you how I did it- I used an old PC that was headed for the dump. Have you tried to give an old PC away? Most people will not charge you too much to haul it away. I aslo let all my fiends know that I would take any and all junkers off their hands. Total cost comes to less than $5. Also I made a mistake one the first one and made the output 12v. Chargers like it better if it is 13v instead. Sure have a lot of friends with these handy devices!
