RE: Nomadio vs Airtronics

RE: Futaba 3PK w/ 2.4 GHz FSST
Nomadio failsafes @ 3.6V
The V2 transceiver (used with the React and Sensor) have always had this feature, they will enter failsafe at 3.6V.
Much below that there is not enough power to get the servos to bring the car to a halt.

RE: Best Radio...
You are not giving us non R/C Gods us normal mortals enough credit you can feel the speed and if you read our forums you will see that people credit the faster radio for making them better. One of the hard lessons for most drivers is learning to lead the car the less you have to think ahead of the car the better. Using your logic no one should be using spek because you are only spending more money to go 2.4Ghz and slowing down a Crystal based radio by plugging in the spek, that is just silly.

RE: Best Radio...
Sensor TX can not hold enough memory for more then one format at a time so you can run DSSS receivers but you have to run them on all your models or switch the format from your PC. React can hold many formats at once and you can change from Nomadio high speed mode to DSSS Da Slow Mode mode per model memory so no PC needed.

RE: Best Radio...
No PC interface "announced", No built in telem "anpounced", No online free updates for your receivers, no cross to other brand receives, no high speed USB PC game interface, no usb charging and no RC Desktop? So it has a large screen so does the Sensor.

Steve is correct, HOWEVER Nomadio TX will work Nomadio receivers, Airtronics FHDSS receivers and Spektrum(tm) receivers but not Futaba..... yet.

RE: Nomadio React 2.4GHz Radio
They are a gigantic company hundreds of millions in sales if they really had a case it would be done and over by now, two years they have known we can talk to their receivers. ;) No big deal they are now claiming their new radio is faster then the React this should be fun....

RE: Nomadio React 2.4GHz Radio
Radio waves and the format is open on ISM bands. There is nothing they can do. Fact is in the R/C industry many TXs talk to other receivers. If they really had an issue they would have done something long ago when Nomadio showed it to them in 2005. In fact Spektrum(tm) and Nomadio are both in the RCMA so if they had a real problem that is where the industry goes to work things out.

RE: Best Radio...
Here is the reason we did it Inverted with the Nomadio you have the option to go full speed as many..., like TKastle. Furthermore, the Nomadio has MUCH greater mixing options then the spek systems plus... deal like Nomadio. We are made from the ground up to be all digital 2.4GHz not an old analog radio... is a kludge, afterthought at best. Nomadio has the speed the user upgrade ability, telem yadda, yadda

RE: Nomadio React 2.4GHz Radio
NOMADIO is based on service, we UNDERSTAND racers and your radio has to work race days. If you look on our forum you notice we ask if you have a problem on a weekend you let us know on Monday get it to us ASAP and we will make your race day the next week ;) We also support a full race team right now no company that produces 2.4GHz radios has more team racers and supports more races. RE: Nomadio React 2.4GHz Radio
The React also has a charge jack on the side so you can charge off your normal charger :) 1/2A is the max I use through that port. You do not need to take the battery out. Use a Airtronics, Futaba, Hitec or Multiplex TX plug.

RE: Best Radio...
To talk to the spek receivers we drop down form FHDSS to DSSS we also drop from100Hz frame rate to 50Hz frame rate we also have to drop power from 100mW to 10mW and poof we talk to spek receivers, no problem so much for the marketing claims your spek receiver can't listen to other radios. It works perfectly

RE: Best Radio...
Because spek is slow and it does not have built in telem if you want telem you have to add all sorts of stuff an extra box in your receiver box the sensors and then mount the telm unit to your radio it is an afterthought at best..... Or if you do not want telem you can have a small receiver with no telem and no extra stuff. See your stuck at 50Hz like Black and White TV when you could have full color HD TV you just do not know what your missing out on 100Hz speed wise. ;)
