RE: Where to buy LST
ntrain42 is 100% right... I have a friend who owned a hobby shop and I saw what the stuff costs. It is hard for a small hobby shop to make any money at all with the internet that sell in large numbers.

RE: lst2 or xxl
The XXL has plastic shock bodies ....other than that the LST2 and XXL are almost the same truck except the XXL is a little longer. The Aftershock needs a lot of upgrades to make as good as the LST2 and XXL. The Aftershock is just a LST1.

RE: What's more fun... Nitro or brushless?
If there is no smoke or noise in my opinion it is not as fun....There are a two guys at the local hobby shop that have the Flux's ... I guess they are fast but from what I have seen they tear up gears. The last two times I was there they had them torn all apart with broken and stripped gears. I was not sure what gears they were, I didn't ask. They don't look like they are very easy to work on.

This will answer a lot of questions. http://lstforums.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=11347&sid=c52ac843a8ccb4bde5bb612677a28089 The LST2 was replaced by the XXL. The XXL is almost the same truck.....a little longer.....a 454 engine vs 427 .... and a nicer radio. The LST2 will have to find on Ebay.

His problem is with the OWB in the in the two speed assembly not the one in the engine.... But your post is good information for that one when it gives you trouble.

RE: Would the xxl be a good second truck?
All the hobby shops with in 100 miles from me carry the TRAXXAS machines. Four years ago when I was going to buy a RC truck (knew nothing about them) I knew the person that was working at the hobby shop and asked him what what truck he would buy....He told me to order a LST2. He said the hobby shops love TRAXXAS products because they sell so many upgrades and are great for the parts business. I had them order me a LOSI LST2 and have never looked back. I have looked at the Savage trucks but am not impressed with the design.They look harder to work on and the center of gravity is higher so they will not handle LST 2.

RE: Would the xxl be a good second truck?
The Losi LST2 or the XXL is just is just better by design alone. Low center of gravity and easy to service and work on. They are tough as nails.

RE: LST XXL Issue
Man....It sounds like the one-way bearing in the two speed hub. It has happened to my LST2 before. Take the double spur gear set off, clean the bearing in side with some brakeKleen and then put a drop of three and oil one the bearing. Give it a try, This is the only thing that has ever been an issue on my Losi.

RE: truck not moving-stuck in neutral;
I believe the bearing just gets dry and the bearing won't grip tight.
