RE: kmp brand P-38 Lightning!
I am going to use "Magnalite" "Magna-Mat" cut to 1/2" wide, and epoxy it the length of the leading edge of the center section. Sand it smooth and place a nother layer 1" wide over that. This will make the leading edge almost indistructible. I have used this Carbon Fiber mat before and it is unbeliveble strong and paper thin. Otto

Hi Yak I know you are just pulling my leg and doing your best at trying to calm me down, but people like this just make my blood boil. and as a US Marine, I defend what I believe in with extreme Prejudice. I will always fight against tyranny. And I believe that what we have here is a gang-up discontents on one little guy who is doing the best he can. He has always been very pleasant and helpful on the Phone and helped any way he could. I will retract my statement about Royal, and insert Innovative Model Products in its place. I just believe that people got spoiled and expect more and more for the dollar they spend. I just cant stand people that are too comfortable with themselves to do any real work and much too lazy to think before they open their mouths. The title of this thread is slanderous in itself.[>:] O.K.[>:]

KMP - Kondor Model Products
[sm=angry.gif]I have Had enough of this.[sm=angry.gif] I have been in this hobby since 1972 when I was 13 years old. I paid a lot of money for everything I had to buy along with the rest of the modelers of the time, and no one complained. If you have never seen a Sterling kit or a Topflite kit of the period, you do not know what you are talking about. When a TopFlite Mustang cost me $80 back than, try to figure out what the cost would be today, and all you got was a box of balsa blocks to carve ( oh yes, I forgot Royal). But back than the modelers had !QUOT!gray matter!QUOT! between their ears (called brains) and we made beautiful models out of these meager resources. Today there seams to be a lack of that required !QUOT!gray matter!QUOT! and besides that people want a lot for next to nothing (just got too comfortable and spoiled I guess). I have had KMP models for about a year and half now including; 2) T-6's, a Hawker Seafury and a Peashooter. The first thing I did was to take care and check the structural integrity of each model and fix what had to be fixed. This took about three days of work after which, I proceeded to build the model with great delight. At the end, I figure I saved about $200 in building materials and six months of work (per Model) than if I would have built the much smaller TopFlite kit equivalent. For God's sake people, use that gray matter that god was hopefully kind enough to give you and do some brain work, and stop bellyaching about every little thing. Mr Kondor is doing a great job at giving us a pretty decent product, if we stop and use those brains. Give him constructive criticism so he can turn around and improve the product, but stop bashing everything that Com's your way. It is now my opinion that everyone who has so unkindly bashed these products is lacking in this aforementioned !QUOT!gray matter!QUOT! between the ears. If not, prove me wrong and show that you are man enough to apologize to Mr. Kondor and make these kits fly like I and many others have in the last one and half years since these models have been announced. And SHAME on you Mr. MODERATOR for allowing this thread and the other thread by this INDIVIDUAL to go on so long.[sm=angry.gif] O.K.[sm=angry.gif] Chicago

When do I start to lean out the high-end needle? Do I keep it very rich for the whole duration of the break-in period (which is quite long)? Is it correct NOT to rev the engine at high RPMS during the break in procedure
