RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video
I find the movements given in the manual for elevator and aileron too much.I know this is a personal preference but for thUF i use as below. Elevator +10mm up - 11mm down (measured at tip) 50% expo - flight mode 1 normal flight 25% expo landing flight mode 3 Aileron +9mm up - 10mm down(measured at tip) 45% expo - same in all flight conditions. RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video
With the UF i have 5mm of down elevator(measured at tip) mixed in with full flap for landing or slow fly bys. This gives a slight nose down trim which i like.No ballooning which is a nightmare to control.I use 3 flight conditions on a 3 postion switch (1- normal flight no flap ,2-take off flap, 3-landing full flap) Using flight conditions you can add any elevator trim you need in any condition and it will save that trim position.Phil.

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video
Rob, Thats the whole point in using a throttle curve as master in your mix.You can mix in down elevator at just the right point in your throttle postion when the models starts to climb. Below this throttle postion it would not be active. Phil.

RE: JMA Long Marston Jet Meet July 14th-15th
Hope to arrive tomorrow mid afternoon as I have work in the morning (customers picking up repaired nitro cars). Just finished final set up on my new Ultra Flash so hope to maiden if wind direction is suitable as I dont fancy a heavy cross wind first flight. Also booked in at the New Inn pub/hotel so looking forward to the evening meal/banter. Weather looks good with Sunday best. Phil.

RE: 'KEROSENE OVER WITTERING' APRIL 28/29 2012
You will need to enter via the main gate for security check, if i remember the last time I went to a pylon meet there.Look out for the Harrier gate guard. No problem coming up the A1 from the south but I agree dodgy crossing from the north. Phil.

RE: BIG IN FLIGHT TRIM CHANGE OPINION HELP
Mike, Yes the JC 120 had 6-8mm of plywood packers on top of the kit turbine mounts to bring the exhast outlet central with the jet pipe, but this was needed as the JC turbine clamp mount is not symetrical like Merlin 140. Phil
