RE: Replicating full scale
Oh I agree but when attorneys are involved we all have a different view. You take a 30lb aircraft flying at a nominal rate, spinning a CF prop at 6500rpm, and something does happen, how long would it take for the plane to be in your face. There would definitely need to be a safety box established for example 500 feet and also a safety net like you see at a golf course to retain the aircraft from spectators and property. I would think a remote kill switch would be mandatory as well. I do like the idea of elevated platforms to help with depth perception issues.

RE: Replicating full scale
I agree depth perception is a huge factor of safety concern. I also doubt that AMA would endorse this. Just my Thoughts!

Call Duralite Batteries and speak to Jack. He might be able to shed some light on the incident.

How much experience do you have with Li Po's? Do you know for a fact that they were completely charged? Did you use a current meter to see if the servos were binding during build/setup?

Caution! The 5.50" firewall to prop hub on my plane was 0.25" off. I measured 5.25" and the spinner backplate was right on. FYI!!!

RE: Pulse XT 1.25!
I am building one right now with OS 1.20AX for power Futaba s3305 servos. The quality is the best I have ever seen to say the least. The plane is flawless and every part fits togther perfectly. I would suggest running thin CA glue over every exposed joint especially the landing gear reinforcement. I will post some pics... Good Luck! Perry

RE: AeroWorks 35% Extra 300
We are building the Yellow scheme with 3W-110 for power on std mufflers. I have seen many Aeroworks over the years and they just keep getting better. Mods???? The only thing I do outside the box is different wheels and I go over every visible joint with Mercury Thin CA but not a requirement. Word of caution when using a heat gun or iron be absolutely careful with the Silver covering in fact stay away... Good Luck on your build! This plane or any Aeroworks does not require you to reinvent the wheel... Perry

RE: MOKI 250 Radial Users...
Thanks! I do have a few questions. 1. What maintainance is peformed regularly on the engine? 2. Has there been any repetitive problems with the motor? 3. What break-in procedure is recommended? 4. What type of oil ar you using and what ratio? 5. Have you had to rely on any outside factory support and was it handled proficiently? Thanks, Perry

MOKI 250 Radial Users...
Hello! I am finishing a Composite ARF Gee Bee and I have decided to purchase a Moki 250 Radial. I would like to chat with any user of the engine. Also any guidance, manuals, etc., would be greatly appreciated. What size prop, exhaust, and fuel tank is also being used effectively. Thanks in Advance, Perry

Hello Gents! My Gee Bee is nearing completition. I will be traveling to Desert Aircraft this week to pick up a DA-150. Below is a pic of the lower flying wire support that was hand made by Ray Powell and also a pic of the wheel and tire i got from Glennis. These are narrow enough to fit easily inside the pants and checkout the scale tread. Perry

Hey Fellas! I just received the Gen II Pacific Aeromodels 97" Gee Bee Y Red/Blk. The difference in quality on the 2nd gen compared to the 1st is 100% better. This plane is worth every penny! I will power mine with a SAITO 450R w/ Keleo Exhaust Ring and HITEC 5645MG Servos. Perry

Pacific Aeromodels 97" GEE BEE Y Gen II ARF
Hello! Pacific Aeromodels has finally released their 2nd Generation 97" Gee Bee Y ARF! I have been patiently waiting for this plane to show its face. I am in the middle of a Comp ARF GEE BEE project but what the heck one more project won't hurt. I ordered the New Blk/D-Red version which I think is a much needed addition to the std offerings. This plane seems very simple to assemble. At this point I am leaning towards a Bennet Built Zenoah G-62 but a Radial would be the ultimate if I could find one that would power the Gee Bee with authority. Any ideas? Build will start soon! Regards, Perry

RE: My Enya 2.40vt
I have acquired one of these and the video of your just motivates me more. I will be installing in the Pacific Aeromodel Monocoupe. I do have a few questions if don't mind. 1. What onboard glow are you using? 2. What type of fuel? 3. Do you run a single tank and what size? 4. Are you running any regs or pumps? 5. Any other tricks or mods? Thanks, Perry

You are right the motor dome from the factory is a flexing pile of garbage and I could see that this may be killing the servo. Seems like whats talked about needs to be addressed by everyone anyways.
