RE: Custom Woodcraft Flight Box
My idea is to try to replicate the old Custom Flight Box i had one back in the day and boy you were cool if you had one, i started one this week end but need to see the bottom for the legs, the fact that i am a Lasercutter does not mean the box will all be Lasercut just the front will be the rest will be hand done. So anybody with one i would appreciate the pictures. Thanks Pat Lasercut USA

Gasket Materal
Since parts for older engines become harder and harder to find does anybody know either the thickness for GASKET material on lets say an OS .61 Hanno or YS .61 Long or short stroke or what type of material can be used to replace the original gasket. Thanks Pat Lasercut USA

RE: Atlas all wood kit
Hi I understand but this kit was taken from the original drawings from MAN, if you get the plans from them this is what they have for you to work with,besides i do not like to take something that was proven and then change it.When it comes to taking a foam wing and then changing it to and all wood build then i make the changes to make it easy to build. As the say if it ate broken dont fix it. Thanks Pat Lasercut USA

RE: Atlas all wood kit
Here are some of the Lasercut parts, as far as the removable canopy i am going to add this to the kit you can use the clear canopy with it and there is room for you to slip a fuel tank through the top of it,also the Fin and Rud i have not done yet i am waiting for some odd size wood to cut it out of that will be in the kit. I am also working on a retract box that you can slip down in position before you sheet the wing, pic's to follow for this;

Here is pretty much the final drawing for the MACH-1 Wing and Stab I will start cutting the parts and begin to build it will keep you posted with photos. The Fuse and Rudder are on the original MAN MACH-1 Drawing so their was no reason to redraw them. These construction drawings will be included with the short kit for the MACH-1 price still to be determined check with my web site www.lasercutusa.com for availability. Thanks Pat Lasercut USA

Yes this is the MAN Norm Pages Mach-1. There is no difference, all i did is take the original layout from the plans for the wing and stab and is offering a built up version for an all wood MACH-1. If you check my web www.lasercutusa.com under new kits i will be offering some of the classic pattern plane for a all wood construction.

OK Guys thanks for the feedback i will make some more changes on this wing and post it as soon as it is done,i like the idea of combining the retract slot with the servo well's i can make a ply box to hold both the servo for the aileron and the retract.Also if you go to my web page www.lasercutusa.com under New Events i will be offering the Atlas as my first short kit there are just a few minor things i may want to add to the plane like that removible canopy, need some more feedback also the pricing needs to be figured out but that will be on my web. Hi, If you look at the orignal M1 drawing i did not move anything form it's orignal position the retract location is where it is on the drawing did not want to fuss with the C/G as far as the spar i look at other built up versions ang kind of average it out on where to put it, unless somebody has a formula that they use please inform me. I do appreciate all the help you guys offer.[;)] Pat Lasercut USA

RE: Built Up Wing and Stabs
Hi David, Thanks for the feed back, i am trying to understand what is said,let me try to explaine what i did: I took the original drawing of the Mach-1 using Compufoil i was able to get the correct wing rib configuration from the basic foam templates, then plotted out for the ribs and wing design then superinpossed that drawing over the oringnal Mach-1 drawing to get the retract box set up, now i can still move the spar to just about any location within that wing. My question to you is should i move the spar?? I am making a retract box to insert in the location where it shows on the plan. Thanks Pat Lasercut USA
