RE: What is the FUTURE of our Hobby?
ORIGINAL: ravill I think Cutis (aka Easytiger) will go to china and make JetJoe a real legitamate turbine that will cost less than an OS 46 and then everyone and their mamma is gonna fly turbines. So the next time we go to the field to fly were gonna say: WE DONT NEED NO STINKING TURBINES!!! Next we will be DYING to trade in our Ultra Bandits, lightnings, F-14's for a stinking foamie!!! LOL Raf
Raf, I already traded my Ultra Bandit in for a box of Viotex Foamies. They sure do feel good and really do ease the pain. "When my bottom hurt................Tam and I use Viotex Foamies" "Viotex really does sooth the pain." tm. (this has been a copyright and Viotex is a trademark of FE BEE Wagner Productions and will not be cloned by the Chinese in no way, shape or form. Some itching, dryness of the scrotem and anal sepage may occur if using more than 1 dose of 'Viotex' per day. Always consult a certifield Jet Pilot for any redness or cramping while flying turbine jet aircraft. If this does occur please call the AMA hotline and cancel your Membership before you land your jet. Viotex can and will help the bottom feel better and has been used on Tams bottom and many Gorillas in the jungles of Brazil since these people like to Clone BVM Jets. What is the FUTURE of our Hobby?
Just a simple 'Poll' for everyone: What does the future hold for our Jet Hobby? Will it always be here no matter how tough times get? Will the tough Economy eventually lead to only the wealthy flying jets? Will the 'good days' soon return? What are your thoughts........................ [sm=confused.gif]

RE: Black Smoke???
Lately, I have been getting alot of black streaks in my underwear after eating 2 Enchiladas at El Rancheros drive tru on lunch break. (they are only 5 Pesos for 2 Enchiladas) It has also given me alot of excess built up combustion, therefore releasing alot of hot gasses and they are sometimes wet and runny. My point here is: Dont eat Enchiladas at El Rancheros drive tru! You will have one helluva mess! [:@] [:'(]

I gotta say Rog, I still have a HUUGE smile on my face thinking about how fun this Event was for me. If I hit 40 Events and just one Event is half as much fun as this one, then its ALL worth it! I will be back with some new birds in the fleet for sure next time around. Kinda thinkin here.........................should I keep the big Sabre or move onto something new? [sm=confused.gif] I guess time will tell. [;)] Take care and we will see you in 2010.

RE: Pat Frost's 1/4 Scale F-86 at Route 66
Dennis, This 'Patel' Sabre is quite the aircraft and I have never flown anything like it. Joe Grice REALLY knows how to build 'em. With only 3 Patel Sabre's flying today (a total of 10 are in existence) it makes this one very special to me. Joe and Shalish have been great to assist me with flying and maintaining the Flite Metal on the Sabre. Scott Harris has given me MUCH great advice as well and I feel he knows the Sabres' about as well as anyone out there. Scott could do this bird so much more justice than I ever could! I cannot wait for him to get his hands behind the sticks and give it a go! I do have to admit that Bigger does fly better. I have 5 flights on the bird and I am enjoying it more with each flight. Would you happen to have any pics you could post or send me with "Miss Behavin" in flight and w/ the side fuse detail w/ hatch covers off? I havent been to take time and get the pics I really want for my own collection. Thanks again! Had a GREAT time at Route 66 Jets and the D.O.G.S. show this year!

RE: Pat Frost's 1/4 Scale F-86 at Route 66
ORIGINAL: drdoom Has a P-200 Is that correct.
Dennis - Patel Sabre has a JetCat P-200 and supplies PLENTY of power with 1/2 throttle throughout most of the flight except for manuevers and takeoff. 216 Ounces of fuel onboard allows for an easy 7:30min flight with much fuel to spare. JR 1222 receiver w/ 4 satellites, 8611A & 351 servos, Fromeco Wolverine switches, 3 FROMECO Relion Li Ion batts with 2 Super Sahara Regs, Hi-Flow BVM valves, Jet Tronic Gear door sequencer. By-Pass with a super heavy duty double wall tailpipe, Glennis wheels and brakes, smooth-stop II brake valve, and Tom Cook air acummulator (UAT). It is currently set up a liitle tail heavy but this is how I like my Scale birds. It took me over 6 weeks to gear up the bird and it was a chore to get the proper numbers on the data logger with the Flite Metal but IT CAN BE DONE! With the help of some friends' (Mark Taylor, Paul Bageman and Justin Sands) I got the numbers down and with a little fine tuning each flight they get lower and lower. I ordered and paid for a 1/4 scale custom pilot from 'Axels Pilots' in Germany 6 weeks ago and not quite sure what the hold up is. [:o] Hope to get is soon.

RE: Dayton D.O.G.S show pics.
What a great Event! Holsinger said there were approximately 2,000 spectators on Friday, 15,000 on Saturday and around 12,000 on Sunday! That's unbelievable!!!! When you looked back into the crowd from the flight station you couldnt see the end of the crowd to the left or right! Most specs I have ever seen at an R/C show. 2010 promises to be even better with a live radio broadcast at the field, newly asphalted runway 7700' x 100' wide and many extras. Many thanks to Jeff, J. Redman, Blaine, and John for a job well done!

RE: Sadly our hobby has lost a wonderful member today, Vern Kramer.
I will never forget the time at Winamac years ago when I asked Vern if he got any of that fried Chicken in his belly instead of all over his shirt. I dont think he ever looked at me the same after that. Francis and I enjoyed trying to make him laugh. Vern will be missed greatly as he was always helping others and his great building and painting abilities that he shared with us. Larry, you are so lucky to have had your Father travel with you all over the Country and enjoy this wonderful hobby together. Our hobby will never be the same without Vern. I truly am sorry for your loss.
