WHY do I fly combat??? Because it's the most fun you can have with your clothes on. [:D]
I tend to agree........ But I did some Nitro Monster Truck Oval racing last weekend with a bunch of old buds and I will have to say that was a blast! More like a demolition derby!

That focke wulf conversion is awesome .... I kept telling people it reminded me of a focke wulfe. When the new Mustang comes out it will have its hands full competing with the Psudo Wulfe! The Mustang is designed for slower more newbie type flight

RE: Sukhoi Su-26M BNF by ParkZone
I resoldered the elevator servo wire. Sensitized the rudder by moving the pushrod in closer on the rudder horn.... took the tiny lead tape off the tail and made the rudder a lil bigger by using some thick mylar... Man what a difference...... knife edge with no loss of altitude..... Put in 3 flights.... then later in the day had a mid-air and broke it in half. Dang. This morning I dabbed it back together with tiny amounts of Gorilla glue and mylar tape. AFter the glue dries I will remove the tape and grind away any excess G glue.
ORIGINAL: hamburgrd Everything is free moving. I can move the servo gear by hand from one end to an other with everything powered up. I did notice that when I push down on the front of the servo slide the servo works. I wonder if I have a contact problem under the control horn. It looks like there is some kind of metal strip that makes contact with the control horn. Should I try some electrical contact cleaner on a Q-tip? I do not want to melt the foam. Eric
My SU26 is doing the same thing..... thanks for the timely posts

RE: What do you expect from a warbirds event
I've been to several warbird events.... what bugs me is all the Hangar queens. year after year these guys drag out the same old planes but they wont fly them. But they will accept a "Best of show" trophy. IMHO- If the plane dont get airborne........ No trophy for YOU! Signed, The trophy Nazi [:D]

RE: Sukhoi Su-26M BNF by ParkZone
The JB dried with a dimple in it. The drill naturaly went to the middle. Being a machinist for 28 years I was able to eyeball the drill / pinvise for a very straight hole thru there. If you were to screw it up....... just drill out the JB weld to the original size and Glue it up again. [:D] The .040 diameter drill is actually a Number 60 drill, FYI

RE: Sukhoi Su-26M BNF by ParkZone
ORIGINAL: speedy72vega Well guys, I experimented with different ways to make prop adapters. The latest one I made works great. I took a peice of pushrod tubing, I think it's for .047 wire. I then shrunk 2 layers of heat shrink tubing to the outside of the plastic tube. I then inserted it into the prop mounting hole, it was a good tight fit, so no glue required. I then cut it flush to the back of the prop mounting surface with a hobby knife. It threaded onto the motor shaft perfectly. No tracking issues or anything. I am using a Parkzone 7x3.5 prop cut down to 5'' and rebalanced. I have nosed it in pretty hard a few times, the prop hasn't broken yet. Very durable so far. I have cracked the fuselage right at the area where the motor sits, but the prop is fine.
I didnt fashion a prop adapter for my GWS 5 x 4.3 prop. I cleaned the prop with a Q-tip dipped in lacquer thinner....... then filled the hole up with JB weld. The next day I drilled a new hole with a pin-vise and a .04 diameter drill. I held the prop shaft with needle nose pliers and screwed the prop right on. The plane is considerable faster and will do consecutive loops from level flight. I like the performance with this prop much better. :)

RE: Second and 3rd plane.
ORIGINAL: GaryHarris After a little more reading around, the Big Stik 40 would be under powered with the .52 fs. I have a ST .90 that doesnt have a home. Originally it was to go on the 4* but Id rather use the Saito on that plane. So heres my plan. Ill keep the LT-40 as it is as well as the 4*. Since I allready have enough electronics for 3 planes, Ill pick up the Big Stick 60 and put that ST 90 in it. I think thats a good, well rounded out stable. The high wing trainer, the 4* and a HOT ROD! [:D] Then after finishing up the 4*, its back to the building board with the SSE. Plane number 4. lol
Those ST.90's are shakers man........ consider using rubber isolators if you mount that beast up on there [X(]

RE: Small Spektrum DX3S review by me
I wonder......... for no apparent reason , why Spektrum went back to DSM1 on this radio. I have the DX3 original on DSM2..... plus extra recievers....... Non of those recievers will work with this new transmitter. It makes me think there was some issue with the DSM2........ I have had no problems. It just seems crazy that would flip flop back to the old technology. [:@] Comments?

Is anyone racing the 18R on a indoor carpet track? Any hints and tips for that would be helpful. So far I have just added the Titanium turnbuckles.... and MIP CV axles.,Oh and the foam tires. I switched to DSM2 and have had no problems. This little car is a blast to drive....... I have a 2S lipo on the way [;)]
