RE: Any redcat distrubutors on these threads?
Right now I am at a steady job and not behind but when your check to check basically anytime i have more than 200 it will always go towards something needed not wanted. Just knowing my moral judgement i wont let myself spend 300+ if i see (blank) that could be taken care of. Not saying i am smart with how I do things. I just know how I work and how I can get this done. My son goes back and forth between parents and has been in the hobby so I am just picking something I have heard him mention for sometime.

Any redcat distrubutors on these threads?
This might not be a support question but its a help situation. Trying to find some kind of dealer that would set up a lay a way type deal with me. Not looking for anything to be sent to me before anything is paid in full. I just work at a tip based job and with my kid I never have more than some change. So im looking to get a backdraft 8e or similar with around 3/5 payments or installments within a couple months if that. Pretty much every week I would send 100 until its paid off. I would really appreciate this since his birthday is March 1st! Thanks if anyone can point me in the right direction as well

Looking for best Backdraft 8e deal
Well im getting ready to order a rc and 95% sure im going with the backdraft 8e. So im looking for the best deal cuz i know some stores offer an upgraded charger or better batteries so im seeing what you guys know of. (also if you have any other suggestions for a mainly off-road basher with nice speed go ahead and through that in here too). But mainly looking for the best backdraft 8e deal.

Wow i just cant believe how much knowledge you have. Well anyone who can do this if they had the money is just so impressive to me. Hope you get what your lookin for outta this and even the experience should be worth the time and effort. I dont know nearly enough to post my opinions but man doing all this on your own is very inspiring to young guys like me and guys getting into RC.

RE: Can somebody please explain to me how pinnion gears work?
also i think its helps to know the obvious to some people, the more teeth the faster it spins....not sure if that was mention but thats how it burns out is having more teeth to grip so it spins the gears faster (which strains the motor more.) hope that made sense

lol dont make urself look stupid. this guy tests and is the number one guy for redcat racing in designing concepts and fixing whatever is wrong with them. he doesnt even live in america so i dont really think him having perfect english is much of a conern. learn a little respect when the guy knows more about rc than you can comprehend....yes thats right and if u dont believe me go watch the hundreds of vids with his "accent" but vast knowledge of every kind of possible rc. RE: Need help on New RC Decision!
I know i was going more toward a 1/8 buggy but ive now been watchin some savage flux hp vids and that vorza. I would have to buy batteries and more with those since they dont come stock with any lipos or anything. they are also pretty expensive but so far im leaning toward the backdraft 8e, savage flux hp, or maybe one of the XTM. STILL NEED MORE OPINIONS GUYS! thanks

Need help on New RC Decision!
Anyways my birthday is coming up and im trying to decide on what rtr brushless buggy to get. Been lookin at all kinds but id like to hear people opinions and why the like specific models. Remeber im lookin for RTR not a kit. Also will be using this for more off road, bashing, jumps, some track stuff (got tons off nice bmx tracks around here too), all that. Lookin for super fast, durable (who isnt), great acceleration and would perfer something that can handle 6s or more. Most of the ones ive looked at have the 2 Free shipping & Industry low prices on Lipo batteries. lipo pack setup which i believe would better balance the buggy for jumps and everything overall. I wouldnt mind 4s (2 2s packs) but would like to be able to step up if i wanted and even go beyond 30c continuous if possible. Thanks guys your opinions matter to me so dont worry about what other people gotta say personal exxperience is better than a lot of peoples heresay.

RE: Backdraft 8e vs Rampage XB-E
Honestly im having trouble deciding becuz im new to rc! I know people would suggest something smaller and less powerful but ive been flyin helis for a few months and conquered that driving and such with no problems but i cant take my eyes off these buggies since ive seen the 8e's. Not a kid so i understand the process of learning even the basics and such but when i have it figured out i dont wanna have to go buy something else after being done with the smaller scales or rc's closer to $200. dont get me wrong ive driven tons of cars at the tracks just hanging out and having friends real into this. So im just trying to decide before march 1st!! anyways there is a track being built now with around 4 different actual tracks but they are in the process of making them so before i go there and test all those out ill be going to these parks around my place that have miles of off road tracks (for people lol but no one uses them) that go through these woods and inside the woods has a real bug clearing under the trees and even prejump hills already there. its basically like they made a track in the woods with little hills and all kindsa great stuff for all these off road rc's. also have some dirt bmx tracks around here and tons of open fields with different terrains and easily can build jumps in those fields. so basically any type of off road terrain i have around here. i already know im gunna be trying to jump like crazy and keep this on the dirt/wood-chip trails around here.

Backdraft 8e vs Rampage XB-E
Hey guys I know they are too different sizes and such but my bday is coming up and I cant decide which one of these to get. I know price is a huge difference but if i get the backdraft ill be upgrading all plastic parts and hop-ups as much as possible. I know a big difference i see is the height in jumps and the overall quickness. I know the xbe is fast and quick but it is heavier so itll be less quick off the line or however you wanna put it. So basically im here to ask for yall opinons on the pros and cons of each or compared to eachother. Trying to consider all things here. If it helps, i want to take my choice out with my bro a lot off-road bashing (jumps) and trying to catch tons of air but as well have great durability and even just tearin up dirt road and everything. I wont be on the track much at least not in real races. Ill take it to bmx tracks around here and a new rc field is going to reopen soon where im at in TEXAS! Ill tell you why I like each too. the rampages size being 1/5th scale just seems so bad a$$ and like having something kids or even adults cant just look at and think its a toy you know. The durability and the performance is great to me and seems like tons of fun. I also feel the backdraft would be amazing with performance and yet still a decent size. The speed and quickness and just jumpability draws me to the 8e. I dunno!!!! I just cant decide even what i like lol!! So just tell me your "IMO" and why or why not ud choose one over the other. Or just tell me main points to both or just one that you know about.

RE: rampage XBE
i would say the xb-e is quicker and faster acceleration but ima guess the xb has a higher top end (keeping it mind it might take a while to get to the top end if you dont have a lot of room for a straight shot). i would say the reason for the xb is the gas experience and if you havent had a gas powered and looking to have the "real deal feel" to it. thats just IMO. less to take of on xb-e and you can always hae spair battery sets with you. Instead of buying gas just buy some more batteries lol (not the same price i know but after a few times of saving it would be a good idea). I also think bashing would do less damage on a brushless

RE: rampage XBE
most of their stock chargers arent good or at least not worth making ur main charger. being a 700 rc the charger might be greater but im not sure which one it is. usually buying two single battery charger for 60 or more would work great but a 4 battery charger would get them all but those are 100-200 easy especially for the fast ones ud want.

RE: rampage XBE
hey man so why did you decide on the xb-e? just asking becuz im trying to decide on either the xb-e or backdraft 8e and hop it up with all the aluminum upgrades and all that. I know its bigger and probably more durable but the quickness and jumping i dont think will be as good even though it is a beast with speed and can jump just saying the weight is a factor. so what made u choose this? sorry trying to figure out which brushless to get with my tax return money (not telling my pops im getting way more than last year lol)
