RE: A True White Elefant.
Great looking Elephant! Love the 3 tone camo. What kind of gearboxes do you have in it? How well does the elevation and traverse work? I'm going to have to work on my German TD's soon....

RE: Tamiya Tiger I DMD T-03 & MF-01 setup problem
I'm not familiar with the Futaba T6XAs and R146iP Rx. I use the Spekrum 6i 2.4 ghz transmitter and ar600 rx. I follow the directions for connecting the DMD channels 1-4 to the rx and then I bind my rx to the transmitter. There is a plug that goes into the battery terminals on the rx for binding on my rx. I then turn on power to tank and my rx is flashing (telling me I need to bind to rx), I then hold a switch on the transmitter (for me it's the trainer switch) and turn on power. The rx will be bound to the transmitter when the rx stops flashing and turns to solid light. I then release the trainer switch on transmitter (b/c it's now bound), and take the plug out of the rx. You might have to do something similar to this. Check your Transmitter/rx manual.

It could mean your receiver is not working or bound to your transmitter. What kind of Transmitter and receiver are you using?

Wonderful Panther! I wish I could do that kind of weathering. Could you please tell me in what order you did your washes? That would help me with my Panther when I get around to building it. [:D] Again your Panther is awesome!

RE: Tamiya lifetime Guarantee?
Yes they have a lifetime Guarantee on their electronics, I've sent in my Tiger I DMD/MFU and they repaired it (recoil unit would constantly cycle). And I just sent in my Super Sherman DMD/MFU last week because I'm getting two red lights when using the elevation (and yes I know how to calibrate the transmitter). Just be sure to send a letter with the electronics describing the problem and your name, address and phone number. Hope this helps, Duane P.S. I bought the Tiger and Super Sherman electronics from outside Tamiya.

Amazing! Really love your T-62 and the other tanks you did in your Youtube channel. Do you do consignment work? Would it be possible to do a Tiger I and use a Spektrum 2.4ghz radio for it?

Welcome to the tank section wd40! I myself have a few Tamiya Tanks and they are really nice. I'd recommend the Tamiya Leopard 2a6 if you like modern tanks, that will be my next purchase in the future. Duane

RE: Mr-Design Gearboxes?
Here are the instructions for building the Tiger I gearboxes (fits King Tiger, Tiger KV-1/2 and Panther): http://mrdesigngearboxes.webs.com/manualtigeri.htm The only thing your going to be cutting are the shafts, and brass spacing, I did the cutting with a hacksaw and vise. You'll need a to notch the shafts for the allen screws (you see them in the pics). It's real easy...the first time I did it I was afraid of screwing up but it turned out great! Regards, Duane

RE: Mr-Design Gearboxes?
I have a set in my Tiger I that streetsquid is painting and weathering right now. I also have a set that I'm building right now for my King Tiger (Marcel Rientjes sends the complete parts and you build them yourself). And I'm going to be getting a set for my Panther build when my refund comes. They are very tough (I like to think they're bullet proof), they have realistic off road speed, they have great torque (if your into that like me) and they look great in a tank. Marcel (Mr-Design) is very friendly and answered all my questions on the BTN forum (just sign up and send him a PM): http://www.battletanksnederland.nl/phpBB3/index.php?sid=5b6f600f7e9e2bb5fd90a5a0e4959b1a It takes the gearbox parts about two-three weeks to arrive once you order them. And the price is 220 eur, but it's worth it in my opinion and it's cheaper than the Wecohe uprade geraboxes. Here are pics of my gearboxes before I put them in the Tiger (keep in mind I had them in my KV-1/2 for awhile before selling the KV-1/2), keep in mind the ratio on these gearboxes is 150:1: http://i696.photobucket.com/albums/vv330/Pzjgr_album/IMG_1172.jpg http://i696.photobucket.com/albums/vv330/Pzjgr_album/IMG_1171.jpg And here is video of Lowe with the Mr-Design gearboxes in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcoNiKjWBGc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QKKDZHYLNE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxMCu0XBKPw I believe his VK 4502 P has them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwt0WZNqHN4&list=UUDYveggIZ_iiugpr0onBt0Q&index=13&feature=plcp And here he has faster gears (you can order them with the gearboxes, which I plan for my Panther): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poeVV_2GO84&list=UUDYveggIZ_iiugpr0onBt0Q&index=32&feature=plcp After 8 hits: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Ae4BpCeRgU&feature=related Hope that answers some of your questions!
