RE: rubber bands
That is dead on the drawing - pull it snug and good to go - it pulles off bu pulling up but to test - just stick them together in your hand and try to pull them apart long ways - you have to be superman to do it - Damm I think I started a revelalution - but not my Idea it came from the it came from the guus at Corks field - the plane you seen is not the one buy the way and they use white velcro - Hell red or striped works same Give it a try - put it on a trainer or anything we do it on Sr telemasters and Sr Kadets

RE: rubber bands
I dont have any photos -But look at the Skydivers threds under unusaul aircraft and find Muncie 1999 and should see some on the planes that have CORKS written on the wing tops Do you realy need a photo to figger this out? Or just foolin around ? Its to simple - take a piece of string ann tie it to the back/rear peg that bands go on then lay wing on plane -now go over the top of the wing with string now run it under the front peg and back over the top of the wing - Now ya see how its done -Make a couple of Velcro strips the same way and just try to shake the wing off - Cant can ya - Follow my other post on how to make velcro strips

RE: rubber bands
Jujst get some velcro not the strong stuff and sew a small loop in one end to fit around the rear hardwood rubber band peg make it long enough to go from peg over top of wing and under peg on front about 2 inches , then take the other part and sew it to the end overlap bout 1 to 1 1/2 inch pull snug and cut off about 1 inch from trail edge of wing Now you have a long velcro looped over the back peg and it goes over the top of the wing under the front post and back over the velcro on top of wing - Pretty simple and easy to put wing on and off Dont think it will work well we beeen usint this on sr telemasters and others with 26 cc motors and hauling up skydivers for over 8 years and never had a failur and do more stunts and other nonsence than most other flyers do with there wings held on with bands If still confused pm me and I will give ya number to call or go to my website rcskyjumper.com and call and I will explane it One yard of materal does about 2 sometimes 3 planes depanding on wing width- may only change every 2 or 3 years unless one gets damaged

RE: rubber bands
Throw them rubber bands away and start using velcro , Holds better and faster to remove and easer on wing panals and cost less and holds as good or better than rubber bands- if they work on my 40 trainers and Sr Telemaster they work on anything that uses rubber bands

RE: wings maker J-10 EDF
Have one on the bench now- Doing the stock factory setup and a complete kit , with duct fan all servos etc- will use a 3 cell 2100 lipo and 35 amp ESC and small receiver , vid shows this as a little screamer that can fly slow with nose up - Guess we will seee in a few days Still working on Lazy Bee elec to get it to fly about walking speed and a Me Komet 44in almost ready then the 8 ft Sr Telemaster ARF with 26 Zenoah then the Sr Kadetr for nosewheel change then Hobbco Trainer to change to smaller motor then J3 Cub to add another motor , and then get another big trainer ready for my grandson a 56 incher, then mabe all the hander planes will be done As I make RC Skydivers I need the Sr Kadet and Telemaster for drop planes

RE: New flyer
Depending on which you want - Tower Hobbies the Super fly 40 for Gas and electra fly for electric- both do a great job for a trainer - I would stay away from anything scale as they are more for second plane and take a little more finess to fly - the best bar non to start are the high wing trainers and please dont go less than a 40 size as smaller is harder , Remember that - you can go to a Senior Kadet from sig and then have a real nice trainer and a plane that you can have fun with for many years and even modify it as you want for a candy , Skydiver , Camera or whatever , mine is over 8 years old and gets flown a lot - Any help I can give just PM or email as these 72 years I learned a little bit

RE: how many amps does a starter draw?
Shusks , do it like the old days and quit worring about it Take a starter off a old car and get rid of any thing on the shaft end and attach a starter spinner head or a good stiff piece of smaller size radeater hoze and hook up to a good battery , Betcha aint nutin it wont start ,providing you can hold on to it In by gone days we mounted it in a box with batt and had a ol floor push button switch to ingage them and took the plane to the starter , Nope never had any that it wouldnt turn

RE: First Plane
Minis are way to small for trainers - Get a full size 40 high wing trainer as suggested eather gas or elec and when ya get to a 2nd plane you will go back to the ol standby trainer and still havea barral of fun with it- most that post about odd or tiny starter planes are eather experanced flyers that have flown those and think all new pilots can handel them and others dont know and just think that a small plane would be easy to fly of which they are not

Over 50 years doing this and I guess I can make a stand on this RPM , Increase when nose points up - why do ya think all of us yea 99 and 9 tents percent use this methoid to insure our planes are tuneded right NO rpm increase then back to ground for tuning - Take a dumb butz to do it any other way

RE: How to land a trainer with a loooong glide
They still make speed brakes for trainers LOL- or a drag chute - I would need them on a 60 ft runway unless I had a football field on one end to do a glide path and I dont fly , (yet) maby use a carrier arresting cable set up I guess I would find try to find a longer runway area if you can
