RE: IS A T-REX too big a leap from a CX-2?
Well..... get a 600N since if your planning to go from CX2 --> 450 --> 600 then your basically going to lose some money investing on the 450 so i think you should get a 600N

URGENT HELP with Fabrication
Hi, This is not really related to my RC hobby but i have a question, I have this project that i want to cover with carbon fibre. Is it possible to cover a flat piece of wood with Ultracote? IF so how can i do it? if i can't, what materials would you recommend for me to achieve this look (materials must be able to be purchased at a local hobby store)? Thanks a lot!

Brushless on Drifter?
I know lots of people use Brushless for racing cause of its capabilities but do they use it on drifters (such as a HPI Sprint 2?)? What brushless system do you recommend? BTW Do i have to upgrade the spurs and other components on my sprint 2 drive system to make it stronger so it wont strip?

Li-po battery tips and "rules"
BEGINNERS! I'VE ANSWERED YOUR QUESTION! There's some confusion on how to charge li-po's so i created a post so people can check on some tips. If you think a tip should be here then feel free to post it here so i can add it to the list. TIPS: 1) Your always there to monitor the cells (don't leave it unattended) 2) Get a quailty battery (Thunder Powers are great) 3) Quailty LIPO CHARGER, you MUST (notice the caps) get a LIPO CHARGER. You cannot charge lipos with ordinary chargers for NI-CD, etc. 4) Investing in a good balancer is a wise decision 5) Get well known Lipo batteries. DO NOT get no named cheap batteries just because their cheap because you might have to spend another $10,000 fixing your house if it burns. 6) It is not mandatory for you to get a fire-proof box but it is recommended 7) Do not charge/store your lipo on your plane/heli 8) Do not charge near flammables/explosive substances (common sense) 9) If your pack is damaged/broken, soak it in salt water for a while then contact your hazardous waste disposal company for advice on throwing it out 10) DO NOT OVERDISCHARGE YOUR LI-PO BATTERY (don't fly until you can't get the rotor to turn anymore)!!! 11) Store in a dry, cool area with some sort of case (so it won't get damaged) 12) Connect your charger to the main power supply first then your battery to your charger to prevent shorting your pack 13) Double, Triple check your setting on your charger before you charge your battery 14) Read the charger manual before you charge 15) Always solder the female plug onto the battery. 16)If any single cell in your lipo drops below 3.0 volts your pack may be ruined. 9.0 volts for a 3 cell pack is too low of a setting on a monitor. 17)IF you crash, set your lipo aside in a safe place for a while, even if it looks undamaged. Internal shorting can occure and cause a fire 18)When setting up a lipo power system, always try to match battery Mah capacity to be at least, over the expected current draw from your motor and ESC systems. Always use good quality power connectors like deans or similar. Poor quality connectors can = meltdown = burnt model = burnt house or car = dead modeller. 19)Li-pos should NOT get warm during a charge. During a discharge, they should not exceed 140F (worst case, lower is obviously better). Be Bright, Charge Right Charge Wrong, Your Gone **Please feel free to vote in the poll**

i think its a great idea, you can probably fix the BCX in a day depending on how bad you crashed it. You should rethink ur 3rd idea though.. cause what if their's a glitch or mechanical failure, it can probably hurt someone or/and the objects around it (houses, dogs, etc.)

Lama or CX2 are good choices. They are extremely well indoors. Both they can do outdoors but they can't do windy conditions. Like low winds or no winds are ok but these are mainly made for indoors

RE: BEGINNER RC ELECTRIC HELICOPTER!
I would choose the Blade CX2 for indoor flight. Although its a good heli, you can't fly it outside in windy situation. T-rex 450 is a good outdoor electric heli it is kind of expensive and you can't fly it indoors. Also, you should check ur LHS to see what parts they hold.

RE: new helicopter
Well first you need to ask urself these questions: Are you willing to do maintance or are you those plug and fly type? (nitro requires more maintance and regular tuning while electric like the 600 is basically plug and fly) how much money are you going to sped? (basically bigger the bird, more $$ u need especailly electric because the 600 requires bigger lipo batteries which can run up to $200+ not to mention the lipo charger) THese questions will narrow ur search by seeing the type of heli (nitro or electric) and the size

RE: Indoor Flight recommendation
Indoor..... T-rex is very difficult for indoor because its big, loud and dangerous I would go for the CX2 because the CX2 is known for its stable flight indoors, easy to learn on, parts are plentiful and user/beginner friendly. It is also cheap [:D]
