RE: Esskay 400XT????
It could be the cutt off voltage of your ESC but I don't think so as most ESC's are sey to auto deetect. You didn't say what ESC it was. That size battery should handle the load so I don't think that is it.

RE: Park Zone Slow V
ORIGINAL: losi24 o cool. that makes it a lot easier.
The Slow Stick has got to be one of the most modified electric planes out there. I've seen SS biplanes, SS on floats, twin motor brushless, 4 motor with GWS IPS motors Triplane SS. I've seen post about SS stringthened to carry 35 ounces and more. There was an article in a local news paper (I think it was) last year a guy had two cameras on his. I 4 megapixel digital and a wireless video camera sending a signal to the ground he used to align his plane for digital photography. The Wattage Lite Stick and GWS Slow Stick got me back into RC Models again after a few years of not flying. I didn't sell any of my old planes, I just got tired and took a break. Electric park fliers got me hooked again. I hardly ever fly my glow or gas planes.
ORIGINAL: losi24 rcduggiedug, did you have to go brushless to be able to do aerial photography? im interested in it and my funds are limited. i already have a whole 4 channel radio system...just need the Slow Stick. i flew the wing off of that thing. lol
It came with a 300 motor and I think the gear ratio was 5.5 to 1 swinging a 11x8 prop. I used that at first with a 8 cell tyco

Thats what I fly. I don't think anyone could go wrong with a Slow Stick. I carry a bomb drop or camera with mine.

RE: Park Zone Slow V
ORIGINAL: mdelling I posted a PM to Glaciar Girl with this question but it is better here in public. How is it that the venom motor is an upgrade over the stock motor if they both have the same power rating (370)? Am I making an incorrect assumption about the meaning of that number? How does that number system work? I would like to improve the performance of my slo-v also but don't want to go the brushless route yet.
That number gives you the size, not the rating. All 370 motors are about the same size but can be different in performance. Bushings vs ball bearings. Different timing of the brushes on the same motor can give different results from speed to torque.

One other thing. Lithium-poly is really the best way to go for batteries. You need a special charger and take extra care with lithium as they can and have started fires. There is much about the care of lithium cells on the forums. RCDuggiedug

RE: Floats/Skis for a Slowstick
ORIGINAL: bribri543 I had it go off sorf snow and ice, since its winter. Its the 300 motor and it jumps of the ground in 10 feet with the wheels on.
TNX but water produces more drag and I was just wondering it it was capable off water. I go to a float fly where they do everything from boats to planes I could use the SS if I had floats.

RE: Floats/Skis for a Slowstick
Does a slowstick have enough power for taking off water or do you have to toss it? With stock motor that is.
