Hey Mike, Luv2flyrc, obviously you don't fly KingTech, otherwise you'd be busy flyin' rather then bitchin' about their policy, lol! Is your over priced German engine back in the Deutschland for a two-month service? If so, get ready to write them a hefty check, or ist your warranty aus und your engine kaputt? PPUUuUaaaaaaah! Gotta head back to the pit, iPhone is awesome, so is my K-140, thumbs up to Dirk and Barry

LMFAOL I'm getting mine in a week for my UFlash
ORIGINAL: luv2flyrc I'm sure it's a good engine, priced well etc but, it's SO ugly, I could never own one. Why is Kingtech intent on using such ugly colors on their engines? Now, one might say, it doesn't matter what color the engine is but, It DOES! It has to look cool, thats marketing! Barry, if you're giving them feedback, tell them the ugly colors are costing them sales, everything else is a winner with this engine but, you're doing the competitors a hugh favor by painting it! You've already had a number of comments on this thread regarding the color; it is a problem! Mike
RE: BAE Hawk vs F-16 (fun poll)
F-16 is the modern day P-51 of WWII, but Hawk ain't a spitfire, not even close, probably a more proper comparison would be a Proctor Percival, a fine flying British trainer of WWII: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Percival_Proctor
ORIGINAL: groovy67 Bae Hawk or F-16?...This is an easy question.....Just buy a F-86 Sabre and end the argument...lol. That being said, both planes look great but as a model the Bae Hawk is a better flyer at slow speeds and a little more forgiving (trainer). It's like compairing a Mustang to a Spitfire...everyone knows the Spit can't compare but even ugly planes need someone to love them. That should get the pot boiling...lol. John
Since it is electric powered, then the term "turbo prop" refers only to the style of ariframe that is modeled after, nothing more, For example, the term "prop jet", a jet modeled airframe driven by a propeller.... is it that difficult? an oxymoron? really?
ORIGINAL: bob1393 What is an electric powered turbo prop??? A turbo prop, by definition, (I think) is a prop plane powered by a turbine, thus the word turbo. RE: Smoke system question
Hi guys, I'm new on this subject, so please help: 1. I have my smoke hooked up to AUX7 of a 1221 but before I plug in the battery pack to the smoke pump, I realized that the pump was able to be powered up by the rx, is this OK? 2. Wouldn't my 8.4V smoke pump battery be powering my entire rx and servos, since it's got a higher voltage than my rx at 6.6V? 3. Please provide a quick overview to inactivate AUX7 during bottom half of throttle. 4. Has anyone installed a second solenoid Y'ed off, or paralleled to the fuel for the smoke, provided that the ECU could handle it? Thanks in advance

There's more to the story than you are stating here, but there is no need to engage in that because, again, there was no insult then or now. You weren't the best, you weren't the worst either. Take a chill pill please. JetCat Lost track of everything regarding my order, confusing me and my ECU with another customer entirely while repeatedly not following thru with feedback on the status of my service etc. On the other hand, Eric at Jet Central replaced ALL of the accessories, thats the entire harness, all leads, both fuel valves, fuel pump, the battery...EVERYTHING, for NO CHARGE when he upgraded my Rhino to Kero. The parts he replaced were still servicable, but he just went way above and beyond any expectations. In fact, I'm not sure he didn't just swap out my engine for a new one off the shelf, because everything I got back was indestinguishable from new and in sealed, factory new packaging. Let me be clear: he charged me for a Kero upgrade, then threw in at no extra charge all new accessories which by themSELVES should have cost more than the price of the upgrade (which included a new engine casing and ECU, and wasn't just a Kero plug and some tubing like the upgrade of my Titan) Sorry you got out done by Eric. That's not my fault any more than your having out performed JetCat is to my credit, but if you want to blast me for one observation then you should praise and thank me for the other, yes? Yes, your service was middle of the road in my experience, which I clearly stated was MY experience, as others' experiences would vary. Does that make me a bad customer in your eyes, worthy of your public derision here on RCU? If so, then THAT is an interesting comment on your customer service, in and of itself. Don Ray.
I cant understand how companies are out there giving away free motors and free parts, free this free that, free shipping, etc. How does a company stay in business giving away everything for free? Maybe this is how they get all the cheerleaders? This kind of business plan doesnt usually work. Buying customers is expensive advertising. I own alot of Jetcat turbines and they only break when I injest something cause I didnt have a $3 screen installed. Service has always been great and reasonably timed. when I send a motor in I dont expect to get it back by the end of the week and be free. Theres alot of us guys out there that been flying Jetcat a long time and have had wonderful experiences with them. We just dont get on here every week tooting the horns and patting backs. I guess i would if I got $1000 in free stuff. I buy Jetcat because it works and works great. Very diversified product line and always improving. Jetcats are always in demand have a very good resale value. Great product, great service, extremely reliable, great resale value. And I Like Bob Wilcox. Great guy! Todd, you should keep your mouth shut, you're a vendor! couldn't resist, LOL
ORIGINAL: lov2flyrc Bob has hit the nail on the head.... JR offered more channels (11) than Futaba (9) back when we were on 72mhz and the jet community needed as many channels as we could get. This was the reason many gravitated to JR in those days. JR also offered better specialty servo selection for jet applications. I think you will find the JR domination is beginning to fade away as the offerings became competitive from Futaba and other brands.....
