How Can I See ONLY the Forums I'm Interested In
One of the new features here on RCU is the "My Forums" system, which allows you to view, by default, ONLY those forums which interest you. Here's how it works: 1. Click the "Settings" button in the Forum Button Bar. 2. Click Thread Subscriptions/MyForums link on that page 3... surfing on RCU easier with fewer posts appearing that do not interest you.

Where Are the Old Ads?
Older ads are kept on the system for some time. To view sold ads in the marketplace click one of these filters: All Ads | Unsold Items Only | Sold Items Only (past 30 days) This allows you to show All Ads, ads that are not sold yet or sold items from the last 30 days. If you were tracking an old ad you can always get to it by the id for a period of time.

RE: if I make an offer
Well, it depends on what the ad said. If the ad specified "US Only" in the shipping terms, the seller is under no obligation to vary from that, whether he is advertising on eBay or our site. Those are simply the seller's terms. In the future, ask the seller (before you bid) whether he would consider varying from his shipping terms. This will avoid frustration and confusion.

Where is Karma?
We have incorporated all Karma ratings into the current site! Here's how it works on the new site: 1. To give someone a rating, you MUST have engaged in a transaction with that individual. This is the ONLY way to ensure that people giving YOU ratings are folks you have dealt with in the market. This is a "closed loop" system. 2. In order to be considered by the system as someone who you have "dealt" with, you must either receive an offer or bid through the system or made an offer or bid through the system. Although bids MUST come through the system, often times offers go outside the system. In cases like this, we are building in the capability of the system to allow you to select a fellow member's username from a list (the current system only shows a list of individuals who made offers). 3. To see someone's ratings, you can: - Click the user's name in any marketplace item listing - Click a user's name in any post and then click the Karma link in his profile

RE: opps forgot to pull out the antena
I left my antenna down a couple weeks ago and an observant member ran up to me and pulled it out right after take-off. No ill effects. I have seen Ultimates suggestion before and since then have printed out the SMART reminder on bright green stickers and applied one to the wing of each of my planes. They're not scale and it's a great tool for a newbie like me.

got a 2.1 in a wagstaff on fai but it is dying rich & hot in the cowl. can't get any more than 7000 on a zinger 20-8. i think it needs a bettr, biger cooling hole on the side mnt eng but it would mak it ugly. got a cline w/a forward tank location & still it has a drastic change in richness when i hold it nose up. the cline won't let fuel pour back into tank so the one way function of the reg is working.oh well . time for the butcher knife i guess ideas anyone thanks for reading this lew

The New Site
THANKS! We have been at it for nearly 7 months now. You should expect nothing less than the best damn R/C site on the Web!! The reason it's taking so long for us to get this aircraft out the hangar is that we want it to be just right on launch. We also want it to be fast. More beta testing on Wednesday or Thursday, this time in the forum. You'll like the forums alot. They are speedy and easier to use than these! Michael

RC AIRPORT MERGES WITH RC UNIVERSE!
You read it right! VLM, Inc., creator of RCUniverse.com, and Kranitz Enterprises, Inc. (“KEI”), creator of RCAirport.com and the RCMarket.com classifieds network, today announced a merger that will result in the world’s largest, most versatile community Internet site for radio control hobbyists of all types. The new site, which is set to officially launch in mid-July 2003 under the freshly redesigned RCUniverse brand, will be jointly owned and operated by newly formed 24-7 RC, LLC., a Colorado-based subsidiary of current owners KEI and VLM. To answer the many questions you may have and to give you a sneak peek at the host of new features and services coming, we have created a special page for you to review. It also contains our press release. To read the press release click here. To go directly to the FAQ's click here (you can get to the press release from here too).
