RE: ESM Fairey Swordfish
I will need to see how it is finished to start and go from there. We are like a girl at a prom, we hate to show up in a dress that another girl is wearing, that is the way I feel about having an arf....you gotta change it up just enough to be different and stand out. Nothing funnier than going to the field and tryiing to figure out which arf is yours[:D]

RE: ESM Fairey Swordfish
If aand when I get mine, I plan on doing some modifying.......I know, I say that now but I have done it to my Aeroworks PT-17. Here is the scheme I am thinking about...or at least one of them. What are you guys thinking?

RE: 3W Bearcat Build - Oh Yeah!
Mark, the cockpit looks good but the pilot looks to small. I am having the same struggles with my Bearcat. My pilot says he is 1/5th scale but he is just a tad bit large. Your pilot should fill out more...especially around the headrest . The pilots shoulder should come up to the bottom of the canopy...at least in some pics.

KMOT, i KNOW YOU HAD TO THINK ABOUT THAT ALSO. sorry not yellin. I think it would be a perfect fit. Its about the same size as the Aerowrks pt-17. Should be fine

RE: Everything Radial Engines
Kmot, you believe that the glow plugs should be lit thru the whole flight and not just at low throttle settings? I always thought that was bad for the glow plugs.

RE: Future of the Scalemasters?
I agree with both of you, One place same time every year and it will need a ground swell of support. Something else is it shouldnt be put up against Top Gun but the should feed each other. So what are the differences between the Scalemasters and Top Gun? Knowing these could only help in growing both events.

RE: Replicating full scale
I see it being no more restrictive than the quikee races and the 3 D events. I think to just say the AMA would not approve it...is wrong. What would be their justification? It is a funfly aerobatic event. A combination timed aerobatic event.......

RE: TBM warbird warranty question
the problem here is thatyou think that for what ever reason, TBM owes you something. If you dont trust them, dont buy from them. Remember the saying, "Buyer Beware." Are you the Hobbies watch dog authority , are you really wanting to buy this plane or just making noise? I am sure they can be reached via email, sanil mail or phone calls. Then post the results here. Good luck just the same

RE: Replicating full scale
glad I could add somethig to the mix. Definietly keep me informed ,...who knows this might go nationwide.[:D], The idea to do it in the round is not to fly around you but to have a course on both isdes of the pilot....just to change things up a bit, it should still be a somewhat straight course I believe. With the foamies, you definietly could fly in the round on an elevated platform.

RE: Replicating full scale
I am glad to see someone out there looking into this. I agree that starting with the foamies would be great to work out some bugs and such. I think what would help the event is to specify a plane type and engine and prop size, and that could be used to limit speed and getting behind the plane. I also see the need perhaps to have the pilots flying off of some type of elevated platform to help with depth perception.....and maybe even put the pilot and the pylons at eye level. Just a thought there. I actually see this not happening at any club field but in some great open area so as not to frighten the natives until proficiency is had. If itwere to be done outin some wide open places, to optimize space and the wow factor, maybe it should be done in the round. This could be experimented on with the indoor foamy. Just some thoughts I have been having. Whatcha think?

RE: 1/8th scale B-1B
You guys should check out Tom's Dauntless. The detail is phenominal. It is so ugly, its beautiful. It takes scale to another level. It is nice to see a scale airplane that appreciates "My" lack of building skills.[:D] I mean , wrinkles , dents, ripples are appreciated......[:D]

RE: Retracts setup for a Wowplanes B-26
are your gears pneumatic or mechanical? One servo for pneumatic and for mechanical you could use 2 Y connectors to do what you need....if I understand what you are asking. On setup for the throws , there are servo reversers out there but you could just hookup to the opposite side of the servo arm. I think that is what you are asking. How are the building instructions that Fahim put with the kit?

RE: F6F Hellcat scale tips
If you have an airbrush, you could do some weathering, oil and exhaust streaks, , dummy radial engine, drop tank or even a radome. You could add the rear window as in the early version......just have fun and learn with it and on it. Here are some pics of my former Wing Hellcat and JD Hellcat. enjoy
