RE: Lakewood, Ohio - need a flying buddy
I assume you are talking about rocky river reservation? I have seen people fly electrics there before, and I have flown electrics in other metro parks. Rangers never bothered me, but others have told me they had problems with them.

RE: The SuperCub LP font wheels problem...
The battery is a really tight fit. I think I had the leads in the back and then just pushed the front down. It wouldn't sit flat in the tray.

RE: What airframe Velox or MXS
I got the MXS last week and finally got to fly it. This plane is great, I can't believe how stable it is. I broke the landing gear on my 3rd flight but its fixed good enough till I can get a new one.

What airframe Velox or MXS
I am looking into getting my first electric. Right now I only fly gas planes and want an electric so I can get more flying in. The 2 planes I am looking at are the 3DHS 48" velox and the Extreme Flight 48" MXS. Out of the 2 what is a better 3D plane? I am leaning towards the MXS, but I don't know anybody with either plane. Just looking for some opinions on the two planes.

RE: Pitts Python
Here are some better pics of the plane. Only bad part is that the flying season is just about over and I like flying this plane so much.

RE: Pitts Python
I was talking to a club member and he said look at a python from a difrent company and me the idiot I am listened to him. Long story short I still ended up getting this one after the other one fell apart in 8 flights. Only thing is that for some reason there is a 1/4" difrence from the tip of the elevator to the rudder between both sides. Everything is square and straight, so not sure where the problem is but it flew great so I am not worried about it.

RE: Pitts Python
Well after a hard lesson learned I finally got my Python. Its got a dle 55 7985s on the elevators and ailerons and a 7955 on the rudder. I also added a smart fly power board just to have battery share, opto kill, and regulators in one unit. The maiden was today and I was very impressed with how it flew. Locking into a hover is the truth, it just stays there and harriers had very little wing rock.

RE: Pitts Python
Thanks for the info. The 7985's looks good and will most likely be the ones I use. I wish I knew when the DA 60 will be available. I have only been flying for 6 months and my wallet wish I never started lol

RE: Pitts Python
What would be good servos for this plane? I was looking at servos from hitec, but don't want 5645's. Do I need a power board? Some people are telling me its not needed because there is only one servo on each surface. Sorry for all the questions, I just want to get everything figured out before I start to order parts.

RE: Pitts Python
I might look into the DA 60 but not sure yet. I was looking at a Challenger, but I dont think it will fit me. 3D is what I want to do and I think the Python will do much better at that.

RE: Pitts Python
Thats great, my Yak is 19 so the Python will fit. I plan on building it for a Winter project, I am just trying to get everything figured out a head of time. Thanks for the info, it looks like a great plane.

Pitts Python
I am looking at the Pitts Python as my second gas plane. I was wondering if anybody could tell me how tall the rudder is on the plane? My 30cc yak is a tight fit under the bed cover of my truck. Also some people say that a 50 isnt enogh motor for this plane, and others say its plenty. Would a DLE 55 be a good match for this plane? Thanks for the info.

RE: Introducing the new 90-1.20 Yak QB
The DX6 came with the P51 so I dont want to upgrade if Its not a must at this time. I have only been flying for a few months. After 2 flights I took all the training gear off the P51 and put a 2 bladed prop on it. So it looks like the Yak with the OS 1.60 and Hitec 5645 servos. Thanks for all the info guys.

Thanks for the info. I am also wondering if the Spektrum DX6i is enough radio for this plane?

RE: Introducing the new 90-1.20 Yak QB
After mastering my P51 PTS with all the training gear removed I am ready to get into 3D flying. I am looking at the .60-.90 or the .90-1.20 Yak. This will be my first build of a plane. I am thinking about a OS 1.60 or a Saito 1.80 if I get the .90-1.20 size. Will both engines fit just fine or will I need to modify anything? Is the OS 1.60 enough power for 3D flying? Or will the Saito 1.80 be a better choice?
