RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF
ORIGINAL: n8622t What happened to TF FW 190 discussion???? Now it's a smorgasbord of hodgepodge [X(]
[8|][:D] You know how it goes, it's been flown and the basic information is out there and that's primarily all that was needed to be seen... Now it's on to sloppy seconds, thirds and so on. I'm just hoping to see someone bring out the potential of the ARF! Maybe some cool designs and fabrications. What I don't understand is that, some ask for a larger FW190 and then are just happy with putting it together and flying it instead of making it you own. Now I know there are the few that this is exactly what they want but I don't know, for 800+, I don't want mine to look like the next persons regardless. Different engine installations are coolest when heard and Kissing it (keeping the facts simple) not a engine forum. Did it fit?? what changes were made for it to fit and so on.. We all know it flies well stock but whatcha going to do different to its appearance.. What did or are you doing to make it "better". JMO[;)]

SteveD-RCU, interested in an update to your build[8D] What all extra are you planning to do to her? When I get the electric starting system, I'll be ready to maiden.

RE: ESM FW D-9
Congrats Kahlog. I found with the few flight I have on mine that a higher approach with full flaps and idled out, assisted me better with the floating issue. My first flight, I came in with the typical approach with power on and chopping just at the runway and she floated right down the runway. I have to admit, they like to fly.
ORIGINAL: kahloq
ORIGINAL: n8622t Looks great Kaloq....I haven't followed with detail but did just notice that you have the KMP version ...your paint really improved it, can't wait for the graphics :)
There's no way in hell I would have bought the KMP
+1. That KMP version has got to be the worst attempt of a FW190 I've ever seen. Kahlog, Which pilot figure did you purchase?

Glassing absolutely add weight but in doing so, it adds strength; the cost of the weight! As for having to do it just to change the paint scheme..... I think not!

RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF
So what you're saying is I should wait for the ARC..[:D] The only two offerings from TF with the ARC/ARF option. TF P-47 ARF= $649.99, ARC= $619.99 Difference of $30, not a huge. TF P-51 ARF=$529.98, ARC = $449.97 Difference of 80.01. Large enough to wait unless you have money to throw away. As for it easily coming off.. Nothing a heating iron cant fix. And your right about the major bonus is the time it takes to strip it but I still see dollars lost. It easily coming off is another reason it should be a ARC. Builders have their preference on glass or material and everyone's happy[:D] Just my opinion.[;)] I know if they release this in an ARC, the money will flow from my account like a steady stream..lol[:D]

You pay for that covering! Why tear it off just to recover it with glass when you know TF eventually will come out with the ARC (just my opinion). I know it's possibly only a $60 dollar difference but $60 bucks buys at least another servo..lol[;)]

RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF
Hey mike. Here is the forum for the ESM Dora. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_10423070/tm.htm Everything I know on it has been posted there, You can always shoot me a PM with specifics. The fan unit is not accurate to the Dora but if you want it, Fighteraces.co.uk sell them for about $250.. Yeah, they're pricy units but well worth it if you want that aggressive appearance and scale looks.[;)] As for gear.. If I can get Sierras in the plane, that's the way I go! I'm also a huge fan of the TA152. I'm in the list for JG's (Fliteskin) new version being built with a glass fuse and wood wings. He has a forum on site of it. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_9911506/tm.htm
ORIGINAL: n8622t
ORIGINAL: dasintex
ORIGINAL: n8622t I'm hoping that the supplied spinner is scale enough...your spinners both look great...I still want a three blade though
Top Flite is listing a optional 3 Bladed Spinner, not available yet but looks like they will be later.
Hey looks like our nagging paid off :)
I wonder how far out the ARC of this kit is. I ended up canceling one plane so I can get the ARC down the road.
