RE: Shulman Aviation Turbinator ARF
I did add a touch of down elevator with flap. About 1/8 in at full flap. It's just as Chris said, you do not need elevator mix. I just added a little for those slow speed flybys. I do slow down before flap deployment. The mix just allows a little comfort for slow cruise. And I do mean SLOW.

volz servos
Hey guys, A friend is getting an older Hotspot ready to fly. He has upgraded the batteries to a123. We were worried the volz servos in the fins may not like the 6.6 volts. I can't find any info anywhere about the voltage range on these. It would suck to have to rework the fins to accept new servos. Any ideas? tia

RE: Help diagnosing AMT flameout (pics)
Most likely there was still air in the uat. There is a process for the first use. You must get all the air out or you will flame out. The process I use is- before installing it, I fill it thru the main line (backwards) with one of the barbed lines closed off, the other goes to a taxi tank or similar. I fill and shake and tap it on the table. Getting alot of the air out. Once I have some fuel in the taxi tank, I reverse the pump defueling the taxi tank while shaking and tapping again. I do this a few times until I know there are no air bubbles left. Then I leave it full and cap it off and install. Should have no issues. I've been running amt's for many years, I can count on one hand how many flameouts I've had. sorry for your loss

FEJ F-16 1/8
I recently picked up an 1/8 FEJ F-16. After I completely re-do EVERYTHING! I will needs some hints on cg and control throws. The LAR method works pretty well, just seeing what others went with. Oh, and weight also. This thing seems a little heavy. Of course, having car parts in it for nose weight doesn't help. (no really)

RE: Skymaster L-39 Albatros experiences
I fly mine at the recommended cg with no issue. I agree that the gear mounts are a little weak, especially the nose. The bvm spring upgrades for the gear is a good investment. The stock setup puts a nose down attitude and makes it an abrupt rotation. It's a very nice flying plane and lands nicely with the right speed. Approach is mostly flat with flare at the end. Don't try to drag it in with nose high.
