RE: Looking for Q40 Foxy Lady
The molds are coming to Matney's Models soon. For the Miss Candace, and Q40 Foxy Lady
Kevin, Are these the molds from H&M Racing (Harold Sattler) or are we talking about some other version of Candace and Foxy Lady? To my knowledge H&M Racing is still very actively producing the Miss Candace Q40. Can you clarify? Thanks, Randy

RE: SWEET V CG
From personal racing experience, I find that 2-1/16" is too nose heavy. I set up my Sweet-V's (five of them now) to 2.25" (57mm) It flies very well at this setting. The battery is not in the tail. The battery is right in the middle of the wing saddle opening. What are you using for a motor ? Perhaps your motor is very heavy. Randy

RE: Nelson Long stroke muffler on a short stroke Q40 motor
Hi Al, Ted Ellefson was running the LS muffler on the SS Nelson just today at the field. It seemed to be running well. He was running a 7.4 x 7.6 prop but we told him to go to the standard 7.4 x 7.8 SS prop. I think it will perform better. It's worth a try. You should try it in Calgary at our races. Randy

Hi Denis, The motor is not in production. This discussion thread is over eight years old. Check the date on my posting #2. It dates back to circa 2002 !!! We have only old dusty inventory of parts hanging around our district from years gone by. Cheers, Randy

RE: Miss candace recommendations
In case you are wondering, balance your finished Candace at 3.5 inches back from the leading edge measured at the center of the wing. Note, with a swept back leading edge, the c of g measurement will be different if you measure 3.5 inches somewhere along the span. Randy
