RE: What are my gliders worth????
Jason You can fly it on a 9ch Radio. If you are serious about flying this sailplane. You should sign up over on www.rcaerotowing.com There is a wealth of info over there on getting started in scale soaring! Not much that here on RCU. Rgds. Randy

RE: What are my gliders worth????
On a scale from one to ten, whats the condition of the Ventus? Is it ready to fly(servos, batt., RX)? $600.00 would be a fair asking price for a 3.5-4 meter scale ship. Rgds. Randy

RE: 1/3 BUSA Super Cub Build
For obvious reasons, twins run much smoother and are more effectient than single cylinder powerplants.. As for a big twin being "silly" power for the Balsa USA Super Cub, just because the power is there doesn't mean you have to use all of it![8|]

RE: 1/3 BUSA Super Cub Build
Ron I'll be watching your progress with this kit! Gotta love the looks of the Super Cub![;)] I have a 1/3 scale Top Model Pilatus Porter with a 3W twin in it. At 36lbs, it's a real teddy bear! You'll love owning a big model.. The bigger they are, the better they fly![:D] The PA18 is my all time favorite utility plane! I am currently assembling an E-Flite S.C. The scale detail in this ARF kit is nothing short of amazing![X(] Hopefully Horizon Hobby will offer this kit in 1/3 scale in the future.. I'll be the first in line! BTW. What powerplant are you considering for your S.C.? Randy

Sad news
My friend Bill Warren, stunt pilot extrordinaire and all around great guy passed away on Thursday evening at his home of natural causes. Bill was known for his airshow routine in the Northwest in the late 80s with the "Daring Damsels", two women wingwalkers. He also did the stunt flying in the Kevin Costner movie "Fandango". He will be missed! Blue skies and tailwinds, "Sky Billy" Randy

RE: Plane Crashes Into Crowd at Nevada Air Race
My wife and I were there in the pit area at the time of the accident. Now please know that this is all pure speculation and in no way based on facts. That said, It is possible that Jim lost elevator control(because of the failed trim tab)causing the aircraft to pitch up. The high G load could have caused the seat rails or seat back to fail making it impossible for Jim to see out or control the aircraft. That could possibly explain why he is not visible in the cockpit just prior to impact.. If he was able to reach the stick and see where he was pointed, he most certainly would have at least rolled right side up! I doubt the ailerons were inoperative. As for the tailwheel being extended, it probably got shook loose from the extreme vibration from the elevator flutter. Also. The media reported that the Mustang stalled at the top of the roll... False! At NO time during the inverted sequence did the racer "quit flying"! Again pure speculation on my part.. Randy
