RE: Fusion Knife edge coupling issue
Thanks, I do carry some up ele, where should CG be? In inverted, ineed a fair bit of push stick, so I'm likely nose heavy. Ray

Fusion Knife edge coupling issue
Hi Everyone, I have the 52" (?) Fusion profile. In KE, it couples to the canopy very strongly...is this normal and should I just mix it out? Motor is OS 46AX, 12x5 apc prop. Thanks, Ray, BRCM Oakville Ont.

RE: Hog Bipe Build Thread
I have an older HB, flying with a SuperTigre 90, unlimited vertical right from takeoff. Lots of fun. Ray

RE: Goldberg Bucker Jungmann
Thanks to everyone for replys! I think I'll go with a 1.20 2s as I do want unlimited vertical...I fly my old astro hog bipe with a .90 STigre and its a complete hoot to announce on the flight line ...."taking off from the left and going vertical"...showstopper every time. Something about a biplane... Can't wait to fly the Jungmann, but mine is built so nicely I might just hang it up as artwork over the basement fireplace... Ray

RE: Goldberg Bucker Jungmann
I have just aquired a Jungmann, fully built rtf less engine. Will a 90 2s work out or do I need more motor? Any flying tips? I have bipe experience..Astro Hog, and am IMAC level (basic). Thanks very much, Ray Oakville Canada

RE: E-flite T-34 Mentor 25 ePTS RTF
I'm an instructor in Canada, maidened my student's Mentor, yes it is a bit tail heavy. OK for me, I'm used to it but pitch sensitivity is higher than it should be for a trainer. Not a good first plane, too delicate. Parkzone T28 trojan much better in this regard. Ray

RE: Pulse XT 40 by Hangar 9
Hope its still flying. Its one of the best looking and flying sport/aero models out there. Depends on setup, but it can be docile or aggressive. Get a good instructor to go over it with you. I got 132 mph (real not scale) out of mine, OS46, 11x6 APC, OK downwind, slight dive, but rock solid. A bit fragile in fuse around L/G, so add carbon struts for l/g bracing. Great looking, even better flying. I got my Wings on its maiden flight. I fly Showtime 50, Funtanax 100, Twist, IMAC (basic), but still enjoy it more than most. I would train any of my students on it. Ray MAAC 76626

RE: E-flite Extra 260 3D Profile
Some recent experience with the 260... Built per instructions way too heavy. OK, strong, but too fast for close indoor. OK outside up to 5 mph winds. Will mid air anything and keep flying. AMHIK. My setup (second time around)...6.5 oz all up.... Lose two servos..use one on ail, one on elev, forget rudder..not needed even for very tight indoor flight. Just use ail on high rates...very effective, most observers won't even know. Lose l/g, hand launch. No extra carbon rods..use spectra fishing line..not as stiff especially torsion but really OK in the air. Its a stiff plane to begin with. Motor...Eflite 250 (plenty..300 is overkill at this weight) , carbon rod mount, APC 8/3.8 slow fli. Pack..I'm using 2S 900mah..heavy but flies all day. Weight savings possible here. Balance...slightly tail heavy...goal is level to climbing rolls at 1/3 to mid throttle. will almost knife edge using a heavy tail alone. Lose the weight ( be creative, out of the box) and its a totally different plane. I have one at 10 oz...great park flyer, the 6.5 oz..much slower, but will still fly out of a midair. He he. Ray

RE: Eflite Enticement
Might have to try one. I think I'm at the min weight for the 260, set up: two s75 servos only..no rudder..single for ailerons..surprisingly good without a rudder. No wheels, or L/G, or carbon struts..spectra line everywhere. Carbon mount for the Eflite 250 outrunner. Spektrum DX6 rx, 900 mah 2s lipo..flys forever. I bought the 260 because the FSOne sim now has it, and editing for less weight and power is very interesting and realistic. I tried it at 5.5 oz, very nice. The sim and real life at 6.5 oz are very very close. Ray

RE: Eflite Enticement
Hi, I'm considering the Enticement..have the Extra 260 right now at 6.5 oz...how much better (slower) would the Enticement fly at 5 oz.? I like your ideas of minimizing cases, covers, plugs etc. Ray
