RE: relatively new to rc, don't know what to do
Just get you something like a t-maxx or a Savage X highly recommend the savage x very durable and they take a beating. What you need to focus on is what you are going to be doing with the car. If you wanting to go off road bash it and run it alot. Go with a Savage X. If you just doing it for fun not to race but just run go with something that can be off road or onroad like a t-maxx or savage. Out of everyone who has bought a savage from my store i have never had a person dissatisfied with the savage x they bought.

RE: How many here fly full-scale?
I fly a Cub regularly and also own a light sport Pietenpol. Real fun, fly every other weekend. Draftman it just might take sometime for you if you have a problem getting used to landing procedures. Just stick with it and listen to your flight instructor and you will be up in the air with the rest of us in no time. For some people it can take longer and others it comes quicker.

RE: Backdraft 8E strange deal???? HELP!
Check to make sure your front drive shaft coming from your center diff to your front diff is not bent. If it is bent bad enough which unfortunately can be straight out of the box. It will cause you ackerman plate inbetween your servo saver posts to bounce that bounce will cause your steering knuckle to bounce. Also check your dog bones going to the wheels for bends. And like stated before check your front differential.

RE: Bad experience at Razor hobbies in Baytown Texas
I did not send the batteries as a bribery. I sent them as an apology for misplacing the batteries at the shop that day. They were meant to be sent as an apology nothing else. But apparently no one can apologize these days without receiving flak about it. I believe you have voiced your concern and your complaints. We have tried to at least make you happy and make a formal apology to address the issues. At this point I am not wasting anymore time with this. Mail the battery back and we will mail you out a new one.

RE: Bad experience at Razor hobbies in Baytown Texas
I emailed you telling you to mail the bad battery back and i would replace it. Your not giving me the chance to make right by the issues. I understand you got a bad battery. Its not unheard of that it can happen. No manufacturer is perfect. That is what warranties are for. If you mail the bad battery back i will replace it. That or you can contact the manufacturer and mail it back to them. What ever you preffer.

RE: Bad experience at Razor hobbies in Baytown Texas
Its tough when your short handed but even tougher when you are short handed and trying manage with 100's of customers online and walking in during the holiday rush. My phone during the holidays never stopped ringing longer than 10 minutes and it wasnt just people asking about product it was customers online asking about orders and so forth so it can get hectic. I normally have 5 people helping me so when everyones spending time with family over the holidays your banging your head to try to keep up.

RE: DLE-111 first start... warranty used, but things are looking good.
So heres the damage. Here is my report: Engine Crank bent Bearings were checked for debris and cleaned no damage or issues Crank case back plate was damaged when the crank bent breaking off a big piece of the inner lip on the back part of the crank case. Rear crank case bolt holes had a substantial amount of material broke off from around the bolt holes. All i can figure is when the holes were drilled both holes had imperfections that allowed part of the aluminum to get pushed out around the holes. The metallic clicking you were hearing was the imperfections coming into contact with the crank then when they broke off was able to make its way into the cylinder head. When the piston smack the large pieces of debris i found it seized the engine. I will post up the pictures toward the end of the day. Engine was test ran and passed.

RE: DLE-111 first start... warranty used, but things are looking good.
OK guys so i cracked open the engine and the bug that you saw fly by before the engine seized was the culprit. Just kidding. Nah but i will say the bearings are trashed and so its screaming to me bearing failure. But im still looking it over and its getting kind of late and ill fix it up tomorrow and give it a test after i finish checking all the components.

RE: DLE 30 won't run after 2 flights HELP!
I concur replace the Spark Plug with an NGk CM6 and if that does not work then you are not getting adequate spark. Then in that case i would check your connection and wires to make sure there is no crack wires or fraid. Then if they look fine you could possibly have a faulty ignition.

RE: DLE-111 first start... warranty used, but things are looking good.
I think what tired is getting at is that if anything there are other classes that would be better to approach to fill that class with a gas engine. Especially when you could complete the engine class by going with a 10cc motor.

RE: dle 20 or 30cc for hangar 9 cessna 182
On a top wing plane you really don't need alot of power because they float in the wind. I have seen people put DLE 30 in cessna's and DLE20 both worked fine. The biggest issue that you take into a consideration if you get tired of this plane and you dont want to have to worry about buying another engine after you get tired of the cessna. I would go with the DLE 30.

RE: DLE20 or DLE 30
Go with a DLE-30 a 72" plane is a 30cc plane. If you go with the smaller engine you increase your chances to stall when the plane in under powered.

RE: DLE-111 first start... warranty used, but things are looking good.
ORIGINAL: Tired Old Man
ORIGINAL: az3d Robert I think there is a market for a 125cc. The planes keep getting bigger. The 35% Qui Que yak was 102'' and considered light, now the 35% are 105'' to 110'' and weigh 28lbs+. Thanks
It's called a BME 116 or 3w-110. MVVS makes a 116 that will pull your arm out of the socket. DA makes a 120. 125cc is totally unneccessary.
I will have to agree
ORIGINAL: az3d Robert, I am at 5200ft and need something in the 125cc range. When is DLE going to jump DA again so I can get one? Thanks.
Well i can say i have heard a few ideas getting bumped around of a engine between the 111 and 170 but nothing definite. But ideas get bumped around all the time.

RE: dle 55 Ingition Problems
ORIGINAL: bbrown2828 ok well i checked battery and it is good I have 6 volts coming out of the regulator. I checked the Ingition it has spark so tomorrow I will start it up with the opto kill bypassed and see if that might be my problem
That would have been helpful to know. Anytime you are running addons always start by process of elimination. Bypass each to see if it interferes. I will say in the past i have had instances where the opto kill switch was causing the problem. Anytime if you are having problems post up any addons that you may have added. Cause the addons can potentially be the culprit.
