RE: How can ı increse flight time - CMP T-34 Mentor
Yes, that would definately increase your flight time. You can also go for a higher voltage system ( 6s ) but that may mean changing components and might not be cost effective. Putting two batteries in parrallel will not damage any electronic components. The voltage remains the same but the ESC and motor will only draw as much current as they need. Hope this helps

RE: Great Planes P47
Almost the exact set-up to mine. Well, really my son's. He 10 and i bought it for him as a gift. He put it together but i helped when he was in trouble. I also bought him a Mitsubishi Zero by World models however that one is still in the box. Same dimentions ( 39.5 inch Wingspan ) and i think it's probably the same quality. It also comes with retracts and a steerable tail wheel. Oh... After the servo stripped in my sons P47 we belly landed it on grass and it barely scatched it after a few landings. Happy Flying

RE: Great Planes P47
Glad to hear all went well How is to build quality of the Great Planes p47? The World Models p47 is pretty delicate. I put some epoxy around motor mount and other key stress locations. Other than that it flew well. The servo i used for the retrats was too weak and stripped the gears. If you are looking for another p47, check out the world models.... Has retracts and steerable tail wheel. Hope this helps.

RE: Great Planes P47
Looks like a nice plane. I just put together a World Models P-47. It look very similar to the GreatPlanes one. It's pretty delicate especially the vertical and horizontal stabilizers. One major difference is that the World Models P-47 comes with Retractable Landing gear pre installed. Total weight without battery is around 725 grams. Hope this Helps

RE: problem 2 or 3 blades
This is a great little article that should shed a little more light on the subject. [link]http://www.hartzellprop.com/pressroom/pr_htm/pr_09_11_96.htm[/link] The only thing i can think of is that the 3+ blade props will provide greater thrust at lower revs.

RE: Brushless outrunner squeal?
How long do they squeal for? Maybe on quick torque the housing twists a bit making and the magnets touch slightly. Maybe the bearing is a little loose and allowing play in the motor shaft. I am not too familiar with the towerpro motors. Are they known to be a good motor or some cheap chinese brand that towerpro puts their name on? Hope this helps

Check all connections first. If receiver is getting power and nothing else works try swapping receivers. If the problem presists try swapping ESC. It should be one of the two. Hope this helps

RE: 2.4ghz vs 72mhz..need help
2.4 is not the future. The fad is here now..... The next fad will be 5.6 GHZ....Then GPS controlled....Then some mind controlled thing. I'm saying you don't really need 2.4GHZ. 72MHZ is just fine.

RE: 2.4ghz vs 72mhz..need help
FAD meaning " I gotta have it " That is a fad. There are little kids toys that are 2.4 GHZ that only reach 10 ft. but people see 2.4 GHZ and they think it mean something special. i do agree it solves frequency problems at the field and that is why all the big names have it.

RE: Hobby Zone Super Cub (Problems)
If the battery is fully charged then it is the recevier/ESC. If it is a battey problem, the motor will run at minimum throttle. If the motor still cuts out and you have charged the battery then it is the receiver/ESC. Hope this helps

RE: World Models Combat Series Wing Setting Issue
The plane will fly true even though the two surfaces are not parallel. Shimminf the right screw.... meaning to put a washer or some thin balsa to help bring the right side down a little to make it 90 degrees. There will be a thin gap on that side. Try flying.... You should find that it is fine just the way it is. Good Luck

RE: 2.4ghz vs 72mhz..need help
Don't be fooled with 2.4 ghz. It is a new fad and has a shorter operating distance than the lower bandwidth (72mhz) The only benefit is no long antenna. Buy the 72 Mhz.

RE: World Models Combat Series Wing Setting Issue
That doesn't look like alot and shouldn't have any affect on the flight. The wing looks a little out of square ( looking at picture right side is slightly higher ). If you want you can shim the right side screw to make it sit 90 degrees. I have two world model airplanes and they are great. Hope this helps

RE: World Models Combat Series Wing Setting Issue
Many instructions seem to mislead. I try dry fitting first then epoxying. How far unequal are they? I don't think it will affect it's flight if it's just a little off. Try taking a picture of the difference.

World Models is a great manufacturer. The wing and elevator does not look level in the drawing.... did you mean parallel? The drawing shows the the distance from the elevator and wing should be even ( A = A' ) on both sides. Hope this helps

RE: Puffy Lipo
Jamie.... Lipo batteries are very unpredictable. Don't be fooled by price. I have had a thunder power battery puff on me also. I have not experienced fire or exposions but i have seen videos on you tube of people forcing lipo failure at 'worst case scenerio' and it doesn't look pretty. Apperently some sort of flamable gas is released... This is what makes the battery puffy. I have cheap lipo batteries which are fine. Hobbycity.com has some nice cheap batteries. hope this helps

RE: PZ FW repower questions??
you will need to change both servos also to the standard 3 wire. What i did for my son was kept the stock motor, changed servo from deceased PZ Spitfire, bought cheap 25 amp brushed ESC, JR receiver to go with JR 7202. For power i use cheap 2200 mah 11.1v 15c battery. Flies beautifully. Hope this helps

RE: Lama v4 problem (flies forward diagonally)
There are many factors in play here. Have the blade been balanced? I the balancer balanced? There are two pots in the 4 in 1 receiver that can be adusted ( look in manual ) The canopy being cracked has no effect. Have you upgraded to cnc parts? I would upgrade the inner shaft and the swash plate ( i had a stock swashplate spit in half ) Are all the screw tight? Check outer shaft for balance. The slightest bend will make heli shake. If heli still drifts, adust linkages to suit. When installing the battery...do not move heli for a few seconds to allow gyro to stabilze. This is just about everthing you can do on this helicopter. Hope this helps

RE: look at this kid fly a gws fu
Not much of a lander is he? My son, who is 10 now is much better, and he sticks his landings. Actually we started about 2 years ago and he is better than me. Even with helicopter and rc trucks. He can also recover a plane if there is a problem. Coming in for landings, it's like an air cushion is under the plane. Kids sure do learn much quicker than adults.

Any one else built one of these planes? It's a nice looking kit and i just helped my brother finish his. He is built it as a static display though and i think it's great for that but to actually fly it.... Seems very weak. I also purchased on and am planning to build it as a flyer and was wondering if I should use basswood instead of balsa or just put more support in it. The balsa it comes with breaks if you look at it too long.... Really. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

RE: t-28-trojan
I have not flown the t-28 however i have flown numerous foamie plane made by many manufacturers. I have also repaired many foamies and balsa planes. True the foamies are easier to repair than the balsa planes and like a stated, if you need constant repairs on planes don't buy balsa. However if you do know how to fly i would stick with balsa planes. They have a tighter tolerance and fly more true than the foamies... All foamies. This is from my experience. I have just recently started flying balsa planes ( last year ) and i don't think i can go back to flying foamies. Actually i got rid of all my foamies except the parkzone Folke wulf and the Spitfire ( which my son flys ). The spitfire however has a problem of the plane wanting to always go up. It's not a CG problem but the wing was repaired and the only thing i can think of is the plastic spine has gotten weak and drops the rear of the main wing. I think the parkzone stuff will go now anyway because i bought my son a balsa p47 ( like i said ) and a balsa zero fighter. I would not recommend balsa for beginners since it is very difficult to repair. Hope this helps

RE: electric plane newbie
Don't fall into the trap of buying cheapy planes. Usually you get what you pay for and you will just be throwing your money away. You can start with som name brand planes like hobbyzone or parkzone. It's good to see you have been practicing on FMS. This will really help. One more thing... Don't go out flying thinking your going to crash. Hope this helps
