RE: HobbyKing Paraglider Parafoil for RC Skydiver Questions
Take a weight, string it to the chute and pop it from a plane. I would like to know what will happen. Nobody has givven some feedback on that. In return others can also look and say, o its been done and... Really, go for it.

RE: Parafoils
I think this can work. The CG of the diver must be set correct or you might get the head to heavy and start tumbling. But that is all part of the fun. I will surely look into this. How about a wing-suit? Just work out the steering. Thanks and go for it.

Night Skydiving
The past weekend we made a few jumps in the night. Like very late and very dark. We did not gear up for this and only mounted a headlite to the jumper. Now it looks like this can be great fun. So, who has done this and what sort of lighting did you use and what was the effects. I was thinking of getting a jumpsuit just for night-diving. Rig the suit full of lights and in the helmet to shine into the chute. And of course spot landing at the lighted DZ. Riaan RC Skydive SA

Help with enjin Mount
I am building a Sr Telemaster and are putting on a 26cc gas RCGC. Need some help. Must I keep with the origanale plans as to where to mount the moter or should I move the motot back so the prop then just clears the front of the fuse. This will have effect on the cg. For it is a heavier motor I think move it back. Advise please. Riaan

Short kit for a Sr. Telemaster
Hi I am from SA. We don't have anybody importing a Sr. Telemaster. So that leaves me with building. I did some reading and saw some talking about a short kit. I did contact Lazerworks a week ago and heard nothing from them. Can anybody suggest any other supplier of a short kit for my build. Thanks Riaan

RE: World Record?
Gary that's a nasty one. Sorry to here. We have a 1/4 scale cub also with a DLE 111. Takes four divers. Plenty of power. The Fly-inn(Oudtshoorn Scale) we made the mass jump is only for scale planes and other scale rc stuff. So we were happy to have the Decathlon to help take up divers. The owner of the Decathlon is not with us. He is from the northen parts of SA. So I don't know all the detail. We took up six SAM divers. They way about 1.2kg each. The motor on it is a 215 if I'm correct. You should see the display flight they do. This is crazy. It rolls, loops and knife edge. No lies. Could not believe it myself. Taking up the SAM's they only fly at 1/4 throttle, so the SAM's don't get left behind. I am scratch building a sr telemaster. Only started now. We do not get the ARF in SA. I believe the telemasters make excellent drop planes. Greetings Riaan

RE: World Record?
They say the proof is in the picture. We had our anual Oudtshoorn scale fly-inn this past weekend. Got 14 divers in the air but only 13 opend. Newbie did not pack his chute to well. So our record with proof stands at 13. We did it with only 3 planes. A 48% Decathlon taking six and two 3rd scale Piper Cub's taking four each. Total of 17 people. The croud was amazed, so were we. And now Broodwa has taken to the skidiving himself. Only he is alowed to control himself. So it seems like 12 is the official number to beat. Goldennight, you will have to roundup some jumpers and join us in SA. Just fly inn and we will sort the rest. Come for the worldcub and stay for a rally. Cheers Riaan

RE: Packing Parafoil 96 with Slider???
I just lay everything down and pull the slider as hi as possible without pulling the chute which is laying down apart. When you then pull your lines up the slider just lies down on the chute and then fold everything together. There are somany ways of packing. Learn something as basic as possible and stick to it if it works. You will find the odd opening that is not what you expected. Stick to what works most. I have seen some fancy packing. Stick to basics. It works. Regards Riaan

RE: servo and chute material questions
Hi I have never jumped with one of the zero porosity chutes, but from what i have read and heard is that they do not work. The only thing that they do is fly backwards in the wind. So pick a great day for your maiden or do take the wind as a big factor. You do not want to lose everything on your fist jump. They are very slippery and not easy to sew or pack. They are more bulky as when packing. Regards Riaan
