Updates are available for iGyro, Cockpit SRS, Competition SRS, Cockpit, Competition. It depends on when you purchased the PowerBox.

RE: Powerbox iGyro
Hello, where did you connect the serial leads from iGyro to the PowerBox. It must be connected in RX1 and RX4 in the Competition. And it must be connexted to Rudder and ELE-B on iGyro. If it don´t work, try to look where the problem is: switch Dig.Out Off, and connect a servo to iGyro. Look if this is moving. If yes, check the settings in the PowerBox, if no, there is no signal from remotes. Check also twice if DSM2 is selected in iGyro.

RE: Powerbox iGyro
Hello, the Software V08 is working good. Just one thing: don´t press "BIND" if you didn´t select DSM2 or DSMX receiver system before! Else you have to send the unit back! The PowerBox Terminal is only running on XP machines. Win7 will come later. What receiver system are you using? The temperature and GPS sensor will only work if the receiver brings a signal. Seems there is no bus signal from receiver, or wrong system is adjusted or the wire is connected wrong? The ground line must show to the screen side. Can you check all his things? Best regards Richard

Hi Guys, you can enable the Digital output. Then on Elevator B and Rudder you get a S-Bus output. It can be used to go into a SRS PowerBox, but you can also use it for S-Bus application. The channels you select for control surfaces in the "Input Maping" Menue are then with gyro signal on the output

The RX and the Powerbox are connected via a wire. The Powerbox sends the data to the RX, and the RX sends the data to the TX. Easy to use and to connect. You will find more information at the website

RE: Power box and 3W ignition
Hi Guys, I read this post and I have great concerns. Maybe in bad cases you can get interferences from the ignition via the Powerboxes or Emcotecs to the receivers. Both should block this bad signals, but ignitions pull large current peaks with high frequencies, so some of the hightec receivers may cause problems - the controller may crash. The Powerbox has additional ferrit rings, so it may work, but there is no guaranty. The new DIGI-SWITCH from PowerBox-Systems and a light wight LiPo will be best for ignitions and safety.

RE: Powerbox / Matchbox Question...
Hi all, Bob asked me to put my opinion to here. Bob, you can do 2 methods: 1. If you want to match two servos, you can plug in on direct to the Powerbox and one in the matchbox - so you can match the second to the first. 2. You plug in both servos to the matchbox and the matchbox to the Powerbox. The first method has the advantage that only the Power for 1 servo is running through the thin leads of the matchbox. The best method is using the Champion or SC12 Powerbox with integrated matchboxes. The best power to the servos, interference decoupling, regulated voltage and advanced battery control inclusive (like in all Powerboxes).

RE: Which setup would be best? duel JR849 receivers, or one JR rds receiver1000
First of all: The components on the SC Powerbox are all redundant. So- sure the switch, the regulator, pulse amplifiers everything is double. Second: if one servo shortens, the leads to the servo will burn down. All Powerbox types are strong enough and deliver much enough current to burn servo cables down. Assumed your leads to the batteries are strong enough - they should come in 12 -14 AWG. All other servos will go one running. Try this with a receiver.....[;)]

RE: Powerbox Question
Hi again, I´m in holiday, so I have time to answer some questions ;-) Yes, every component in the Powerboxes are redundant. In the Competition/Champion are two electronic switches, two seperate microcontrollers - working absolute independent, double pulse amplifier there are 7 on board (each is a extra IC not only one big for all pulse like in other products). Also the voltage regulation is double.... and so on. And don´t forget, using one of this systems is the only possibility to give the servos of big planes the power they need. With extern regulators and normal switches over the receiver you can´t handle the amount of current which the servos need. All pilots using this units will confirm that their rudders are working harder and more exactly. So there is a huge advantage in security and performance using this systems!

RE: Powerbox Question
This are two different devices: Powerbox Sensor and Powerbox Sensor Switch. The Powerbox Professional is designed for the 20A mechanical switches. You also find them on the website. The Professional is designed for 4 or 5 cell use only. If you want to use Lipo cells it´s recommended to use the Competition or Champion.

RE: Powerbox Question
Hi there, just to bring in light in the discussion. The Powerbox Sensor is a standalone device for planes with about 6 - 8 servos. It has build in: 2 regulators and 2 electronic switches for 2 batteries. No voltage display- just two green lights for ON/OFF status The Powerbox Sensor-Switch is the switch for the Powerbox Competition and Champion. This switch controls the electronic switches on the Powerbox units AND shows you the LOWEST voltage you had during flight when pressing the two buttons. This Sensor Switch only works in combination with one of the two Powerboxes I described above

RE: Emcotec Powerbox vs. Powerbus Pro
The rings decouple the ground - fact!! They don´t decouple the ground for DC - but for 35 - 72 Mhz it does! This is RF-technologie not DC! Little bit more complicate... The Powerboxes only have 7 channels, because if you plug in all servos to an extern Powerbus, you shift the tuning for the receiver -> same problem like you connect all servos to the receiver -> less range! The receivers have their optimal tuning for the amount of servos you can plug in! Not for Y´s or anything else. So the perfect setup is 1 - 5 servos to receiver, rest to Powerbox. I think for most of planes 7 channels are more than enough: 2 elevator, 1 rudder, 2 roll -- this are 5! Again: It´s cheaper to make a powerbus with 12 or 30 channels than to build in ferrite rings! This is the reason competitors don´t use them! I don´t know anything of a failing Powerbox - exept one which polarity of the battery was plugged in false of it´s user[;)]

RE: Emcotec Powerbox vs. Powerbus Pro
You should add this fact to your post: The Powerbox you tested is the model from 2001 - the Emcotec is a 2004!! There is a new Powerbox 40/24 Professional available for 3 month. It has 7 channels, a new pulse amplifing and a "low-voltage memory" - for the same price! I wrote it down in a lot of posts: the ferrite rings are not for reducing interferences!! They are for decoupling the ground! If you plug in a lot of cables (and a lot of servos) to a receiver and don´t decouple the ground, you get a loss of RX range!! Other products don´t have this feature cause it´s costly!! The pulse amplifiers are better for decoupling interferences!! If you want to have exactly and more data ask me - your welcome!

Hi, the Powerbox Champion will be available for all types of batteries. You can adjust the middle position, the end position and you can reverse the servo. Advanced: you can reverse only one end position, so you move your stick in both directions and the servo is running always to the same direction (I hope my English is good enough to explain that).
