RE: F4U-WR5marines lettering file
Pappy you are right, I can't type correctly anyway, after all it's just two fingers right? I gave him a link to the font so he can recreate it in the size needed anyway.

RE: F4U-WR5marines lettering file
all vinyl is glow fuel proof, BUT the adhesive on the vinyl is not, over time fuel will get under the edges and cause it to lift. you will need to clear coat the plane or clean the plane imediately after flying to make them last. I strongly recomend clear coat.

RE: Comp ARF Stab Crooked
verify that it is indeed installed wrong, take the wing tube and measure from the rear of the wing tube to the front of the stab tube on both sides, just to make sure the tube is installed correctly. then if incorrect you will have to cut it loose and re-glue with some reinforcement on the inside, might be a case for a warrenty return of the fuse, call your rep. and see if they can help get a new fuse.

RE: zdz 40 RV carb
here are some shots of a brand new ZDZ 40, vintage of about 2002, I don't think they have changed anything on these, both of my 80's are exactly the same. the spacers you have are NOT stock, it sounds like a fuel issue or overheating, are you running it in a cowled plane? if so take the cowl off and recheck.

RE: Rcexl V1.3 gas kill switch problem
I may be wrong, but fail safe only works on the main 4 channels on the transmitter, you would need to link Aux 2 to throttle, by using a pmix.

RE: Three line fuel system
Why would you need a clunk on the Fill/defueling line? I have used a 3 line system for years also, and have just run the fill/defuel line to the bottom corner of the tank. it pulls all but about a teaspoon of fuel out. never have had a problem with the lines getting tangled.

RE: MTW header-came apart
Jody and Steve, you are both correct, might not be cost effective, But if you buy another one and your installation is less than perfect, you will break that one as well. so It might be worth the extra cost to get it welded better and maybe beefed up to handle the vibration. Rick

RE: MTW header-came apart
you can TIG weld stainless steel, much better than brazing. it will be welded with stainless rod, can't get it any better than that. seek out a local welding shop or buddy with a tig welder.

RE: zdz 40 RV carb
when you installed the throttle ball link that they come with. did you turn the throttle shaft 180 degrees around, if so it makes them hard to start and won't throttle at all. check the throttle butterfly, it needs to be showing the end of the screw on the butterfly plate, not the screw head, when looking into the carb.

RE: Idiots in New York, RC plane buzzing Statue of Liberty & Brooklyn Bridge
ORIGINAL: Silent-AV8R I think people need to grasp that the coming regulations are only for SMALL UAS, hence the ''s''UAS. Larger, and what most of us think of as UAVs, like the Predator and Global Hawk have an entirely different set of operating standards and they do no apply to either us or to the sUAS community.
So what part of SMALL UAS is a 40%, 50% OR EVEN SOME OF THE 60% PLANES??? I can see that some of us are in for a real awakening on the thought that what we are flying are models.

RE: diaphram location on wa-wt walbro
The diaphram has to go next to the carb body for it to work, then the gasket and then the cover.

RE: Need help in using a Hyperion AC/DC battery charger
Karolh: you need the other board that is marked JXT-XH, I will add the link to allerc for it, hope this will get you going, these are great chargers, you just need all the adapters for all the different battery balance plugs, I wish the manufacturers would get together on this. RE: Need help in using a Hyperion AC/DC battery charger
Karolh: does your board say "hyperion" or does it say "JXT-XH" it should be printed on the board, I looked at mine and I believe the hyperion board has the pin numbering that you have for a 3s pack. I will check again when I get home tonight. Rick
