RE: Outlaw Speed Run
The red and blue striped Demon is mine, it is a 6s its prety fast , AJ flew it at seff and joe nall. Flying it on its side yanking and banking it will do 130 to 150 mph,let it get on step out of a slight dive we have seen it hold up to 175 or so . Dive or not that is some decent speed. It is the flight times that are awesome along with the cool bats when she is done with a 7 min wide open throttle flight. I just built a 7s twin that is pushin 3400 watts or so at over 230 oz of thrust with a static rpm pitch speed of 212mph. Now I would say that will be fast . I am working more on the tractor wings for next season. ck

And your point?[;)] I dont know what clips in what order Tim edited in, he took a few days of flying that plane and clipped it all together for a fun vid, they are all of that same plane. I dont think this 4s vid has any cuts in it,the speed runs were fairly flat passes in a slight cross wind. A slight dive to get her on step in the distance is about it. http://www.glamisweather.com/seff08/4shighspeed.wmv Ck

Mike that is all I am trying to say too,I dont always think speed but a good combo of 150 + mph coupled with supreme handling and super long flights are what I try to achieve. Thnx for taking the time out to dopple the vids . I felt like a target for the outlaws at seff when I was just out having fun with some nascar flying type circuits . They were prety much all over the place with mostly extreme squirlyness. Ck

RE: Buying a new ZAGI
Hi Arkittexas the ritewing does not leave any battery hangin in the open, they all are slid into the wing ito a hatch and are way durable and aerodynamic, notlike a plastic tray that cracks and breaks... on the edge of disaster and I often go over that edge. I have eyed the Unicorn and the Ritewing TL40... (and it wasn't that severe). The Ritewing also leaves the battery hanging out in the open

RE: High Powered Unicorn...perhaps too high powered
The amp draw is way to high for that set up.--You should use a mega 4 turn and the 7/5 apc.--The 2 turn will not evn work with a 6/4 prop. It will pull 49 amps static on a 5.5 /4.5 apc on 10 cells. So you can imagine what it is dooin with the 7/5.The 3 turn is still tooo fast the wing wont even fly eficient at the speeds of the 2 or 3 turn. The 2 turn is a ducted fan motor any ways, and is not even close to a good choice to begin with.If you are gona pull 70 amps do it with a wing that will handle 163 mph like the Ritewingrc.com 50' lightning.

RE: Fastest Piece Of Foam
The ? is how much do ya want to spend.Start wit the battery. For a 48 in wing A fairly reasonable set up is a mega 16 15 4 or a 16 15 5 On 3000 + ma of lipo's at 11.1v.CC 45 esc and a 7/5 E apc prop. This will do .110 or so in level flight. That is on a slayer or raider. This is too much prop for anything under 48'.Your wing has to be verry stout ,and have alittle weight to it.I have radared this combo at 120 mph in a dive. Chris[:)]"Efficient" Larger prop will be smokin fast on a 4 turn or 5 turn. "Inefficient "'Small prop fast motor will only sound fast.

RE: Fastest Piece Of Foam
The 2 turn will pull around 65+ amps with a 5/5 prop It is an expensive puff of smoke comin from that 35 amp max rated motor. And you will need 7000 + ma of lipo's at 10 c minimum forthat motor a phx 80 esc just to be safe. Man That is an expensive piece of bluecore. There is a reason why I know these things.quote]ORIGINAL: No-Apologies I've got to get some pics up. I have been developing a wing for sport flying. It runs about 80 MPH now. It is made from Bluecore (as it is just about my favorite to work with). It's wing span is 38" and it is fitted with a Graupner 6V speed 400 turning a 5x5 prop. I am powering it with a Kokam 3 cell 1500 pack. I am looking to move to a 400 size Mega 2 turn brushless soon. I belive she will really cook then. I will be posting instructions on construction soon. Still tweaking it now. It was originally designed as a flat bottom wing, but I am fixing to try the same set up with a symmetrical wing. I think that will help too. Look for the instructions to be posted in the next couple of weeks. I love flying this thing. I have built 4 so far. The 5th one will be the symmetrical version. I have thought of trying to set up a twin motor set up as well. [/quote]

A smokin hot battery is what you will get.You would be better off with two of the 2100 in paralel.Besides you will need the weight to ballance it.Doo it with battery instead of dead weight. You are pushin that battery a bit is what i mean.
