RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video
Rob, A very good method of establishing correct CofG is as follows - Fly the airplane at a medium to high speed, pitch to 45 degrees up and then roll inverted and let go. If the airplane shallows the line quickly by pitching level then the balance is too far forward. If the airplane pitches..., it's how I got my UF as I like it. Cheers, Rob

RE: Sebart Miss Wind S 50E
My MW set up is A50 16S with Hacker 110 OPTO ESC. I run it on a 17x10E APC. Although in the UK our ambient temps are lower I never have issues with overtemping motors or ESC's. I did originally have a Hacker 70 OPTO ESC but it wasn't adequate and therefore changed to the 110. The airplane flies perfect on 17x10E with plenty of power. Rob

No problems what so ever. I ordered a UF stab, custom scheme via Motors & Rotors. It took 5 or 6 weeks from point of order. Something doesn't seem right if you've waited that long. Rob

[:D] Assuming 'intense' means - flat out, I'm not even sure you'd get 8 minutes flat out before the motor runs a tad 'lean' [;)] Standard Flash with 120SX, in my opinion, will be around the 220mph mark. Even on the best of days.

RE: Ultra Flash strut doors
My strut doors are fixed to the legs by way of small balsa blocks. These blocks are curved one side to fit the profile/radius of the leg. The other side is bonded straight to the door. Used Aeropoxy on both sides. 40+ flights on and not a sign of them coming off. Easiest and most practical solution...................... Cheers, Rob

RE: 14MZ with GY401.
Phil, No, nothing to do with roll stability. A gyro, on ailerons on a sport jet is great for that 'locked in' feel/look. I've had aileron gyros on quite a few sport jets and like the feel/look. An added benefit is that on a gusty day it can assist a little. Cheers, Rob
