RE: When's the 12X replacement coming?
Fitting a Spektrum 12 channel module internally would almost certainly contravene the BMFA's guidelines on modifying Tx's, which could result in the insurance becoming invalid if you have an accident. You could fit the Futaba 12 channel module for the MX22 which gives you all 12 channels. I've been using mine for jets for well over a year now with no issues. Roger

RE: FASST for JR?
MM You have to set your Tx to PPM and depending upon the model you can get up to 12 channels (MX22), but I believe the JR 9xxx and 10x series only provide 9 channels in PPM mode. If you need more channels, then an MX22, MX24 or Futaba Tx will be necessary. Roger

RE: FASST for JR?
I've been using one in my MX22 for 2 years without any issues at all and all my jets are using FASST Rx's. It gives you the best of both worlds, in that you keep the JR programming and have a solid 2.4GHz link. Roger

RE: Rookie 2 equipment location
Here are some pics of the installation in my old Rookie, that used a P80 and fixed thrust tube. At the time of the pictures I was using NiMH cells for the Rx and ECU, but later fitted LiPo's for the Rx, but kept the NiMH for the ECU. My CG was further back than the instructions say and I had to move the ECU pack as far rearwards as I could to get the CG as I wanted it. Roger

RE: Graupner Inspiration build thread-Flown
Flew my Inspiration again today at Honington and since lightening the model with a new lighter tail pipe and smaller Rx batteries it really does go well. I've now turned down the Booster 80 from 165K to 163K max revs as the extra power isn't really necessary. Conditions weren't the best and rain eventually stopped play, but it was good fun while it lasted[:D] Roger

RE: Any JR guys using this?
Florent, The Mx22 transmits 12 channels in ppm mode so you get all 12 channels, although I'm not 100% sure if they are all proportional as I have used some as switched channels, eg. retracts, but I believe they are. I think that the 10X will only transmit 9 channels in ppm mode, so your choice of system is up to you. Roger

RE: Any JR guys using this?
Rick, I've been using a FASST module in my JR/Graupner MX22 for about a year in jets and electric models without any problems. I made the move so that I could get a 12 channel system for an outlay of about $150 and retain the Tx that I was used to, rather than spend a fortune on a new 12 or 14 channel Tx. Roger

RE: Recuring problem Loosing brake pressure on landing
A secure solution is to fit a small piece of metal tubing where the brake line is likely to touch the wheel and normal brake line at either side of it. It's worked on three F16's that I know of. Roger

I had some more flights on mine today at a misty, damp and cold Honington and am slowly getting it dialled in, although the CG is still too far forward for me and I'm going to move the batteries around to push it back a few more mm. With the Booster 80 now turned up to 163K it's vertical..., so that I can really enjoy it without my fingers freezing. Roger
