RE: JetWorldMasters@AirForceMuseum
I again thank you, Ben Jensen, David Tappin & Achim for many of the event pictures that I have used in this thread. Oh yea we really need to get our best estimate of how many Competitors, Managers, Helpers and Supporters will attend the Event so we can arrange for all the accommodations. You bet on an all out effort by all of us to get the, as you say, juices flowing. This thread has somewhat got it going in the US. I don't have a feel for the International passion as there as been so little response on the subject? I will not, again, be attending our January meeting in Rheinback but will be send a status report on the preparations. I'm out of airline miles, time, money and energy after attending the meeting last January and the JWM in Israel. Gotta devote our efforts to take advantage of our 2011 opportunities...WOW I'm pumped! RE: Mibo A-10 fans flight tested
Yea David the scale grey pieces are flexible for gluing at the appropriate places. The colored stick-on decals fit into the molded grey pieces so u don't have to paint the formation lights, etc. One set of each in stock with 5 sets coming in a few days along with your parts....I hope.

RE: JetWorldMasters@AirForceMuseum
One of the afternoon highlights was the Israel Air Show and some of the Air Force Troops. Every male and female at the age of 18 must join the military sevice for a minimum tour of 3 years. Following are some of the troops at the air show. Can the US Air Force match these troops for the 9th JWM? And then the Air Show....I've seen several sir show but never like these tank busters right in your face!

RE: JetWorldMasters@AirForceMuseum
Masada, as previously shown, is up the mountain from the JWM flying site. This is probably the most skin tingling feeling I have ever had visiting a historic site. There were 960 Jews marooned for 3 years on one of the highest, driest and hot desert spots in all of Israel. When it became obvious that the Romans were going to breach the walls the Zealots cast lots to choose 10 men to kill the remainder. They then chose among themselves the one man who would kill the survivors. The last Jew then killed himself.

RE: JetWorldMasters@AirForceMuseum
Hey Dave, yea I had reservations about the time and money to attend the JWM in Israel to present basically the same Power Point that I had done in Germany. But as it turned out I am delighted that I was there to visit with old friend and meet new ones like you. Oh yea Dewey is working on a web site that should be up, at least in skeleton form, in a few weeks. It is great news to learn that NZwill join the competition. How many competitors do you expect and the total contingency for each Country? These pictures are an accumulation from myself, Ben, You, Achim, David T. & Dave Burns.

Approximately 10 miles along the Dear Sea shores is the newly constructed air field. The air field is in the proximity of Masada (more on this later) and you can see it from the top. There is absolutely nothing else in the proximity. The model storage and spectator stands To be continued....

RE: JetWorldMasters@AirForceMuseum
My experiences at the IJMC 8th Jet World Masters in Israel this summer including the IJMC Meeting to ratify hosting the 9th JWM at the National Museum of the US Air Force in 2011. The accommodations were at the Dead Sea the lowest place on Earth. Views from the front and rear of our hotel. Floating, standing and setting like in a chair is all do-able but you cannot swim and definitely do not want to get any of the elements in your eyes or mouth. The bottom is covered with the pictured salt crystal nuggets..you had better have shoes on ! ! ! The favorite and supposedly healthy activity is to cover you with mud from the Sea that is packaged and sold in sealed containers.
