RE: what is the best/diffrent ways to secure the batteries for the engine??
thanks Jason. I see also you use deans to connect the batteries O.Fremming has advice to use bullet types but I can see the 2 good things about deans first you will not be able to connect them wrong and some batteries comes with them ,the bullet type as I understand should take more amps and can give you shorter cabels, and thoughts???

what is the best/diffrent ways to secure the batteries for the engine??
HelloI'm starting to convert my Integral to electric .I have seen diffrent ways to put in the batteries in the plane some one just strap them in with some velcro and some has some fancy ways .... can you guys that want to share your metodes take some pics and post them here .In the Integral I think I will have to make a plate and fasten over the formers that holds the undercarriage ..or from this formers and back to the wingtube. In advance thanks

RE: Composite-ARF Integral, kinda build thread
The template was correct made a depron firewall just to test and to make a perfect fit ...but to no use I will make the final one just after the drawing good work Chad! My engine is some few mm longer than the Pletty but maybe my fuse is a bit thicker inside . This is my first electric F3a model and I'm wery exeited .

RE: Composite-ARF Integral, kinda build thread
Hi just started to convert my old Integral to el. the old firewall is removed and found the PDF that shows Chad's firewall with the Pletty. I think I understand correclty that the center off the Pletty is in the middel off the screws that holds it? The engine I will use is a cheap China Axi copy ...if I work it works if not I maybe change it for a Axi ... When you fly with a el. engine you use a bigger prop and remeber the old days with glow that you got change in the need for right thrust , but the rmp on the el.engine is lower do I need to make the right trust diffrent ? With the YS I had 1,5 mm more that the nose indicated and that was perfect.

Futaba Fasst and servos from diffrent brands?
Hi I ouhr club peoples are talking about not using other brands for the Futaba fasst system , we also had a big Yak that went down and the reason was what I heard that the guy was using Hitec servos in it , ailron locked in the last turn into landing! He also was told that this could happend prior to the crash. Has anybody some info on this, I was planning to use some JR servoes in my next plane ...but dont know if it is safe.

RE: Kevlar pull pull for elevators ?
Hi I have used the MK bellcranck with pull pull several times ...you just have to make a piece off fiberglass plate that fits over the MK b.c. and use some 2mm bolts and epoxy to secure it ...works wery nice . Pull pull is a good way to go

RE: Composite-ARF Integral, kinda build thread
Hi, My second Integral did maiden yesterday, 7 flights in nice Authum-weather. It`s slightly modified from the original Browse RCU Marketplace for Composite-ARF and other giant scale planes being sold by fellow RCU members comp-arf, with center-hinged control surfaces, top wing, landing-gear, som structural changes etc. Both the center-hinged control surfaces and the top-wing makes this bird fly different than my first one in a very positive matter. Great improvement for the next years P-11. hmmm, it seems i have to modify my first Integral , the differents are greater than i thought... Kjell O.
working on my second one also Kjell but I will not keep it have one Xigris in order for electric . My second Integral is a ZN version and dont want the hassel with battery under the wing, also made it with bigger topwing and anedral stab...looked just as sexy as the girl on your pic!!!!

visit at Central Radio Flyers Bloemfontein in S.Africa
Hi As I staying in S.Africa for work some months I started to see if there was some guys flying F3a in the close area to where I was staying. And after some mails with the S.Afrikan world team members I was welcommed to visit Walter van Huyssteen at his airfiled yesterday when thay had a smal competion . Walter and "Berti" just arriving home after their WC trip to Portugal had a lot to tell about their stay there ,Walter as a competitior had some problem with engine as his CDI unit on his YS 170 broke down and also as the normal fly at +2000 meter over sealevel had dificulties to adjust his engine propely. So watching some nice flying fisrt with guys from maybe 12 - dont want to guess age, it was time to rest some with a nice "braii"(south african barbeque) . well just some smal pics . The Quantum and The Adapter was as I understood S.A. models and the Quantum just weighed 4,6 kg with electric....thats not much. Engines used was ! Cyklon some Neu's and a few OS 140, the Cyclon blew 2 regulators that day so make the guys day quite expensive, but he still smiled...what a guys. I will thanks the guys for a worm welcome at their field.

RE: Composite-ARF Integral, kinda build thread
Hi Kjell I missied the event my self but work is what pay your living. The Integral will first just be converted Ys out and el. engine in , I will give a Axi copy from China a try first , next I planning to make new wings stabs and rudder and give the fuselage a repaint. and for Chivas, dont think I will be home yet . For those not living in Norway Chivas is a F3a event the last in the season in Norway its a event where the shoulders are let down and it really nice, its held I Tynset high up in the mountains and the event it NOT named up after the famous wiskey from Scotland but after Johannes Stavrum's Dog a Golden Retriver that passed away years ago. What the dog was named up after ...well the story dont tell. So Kjell I still think I will be down here in South afrika winding a big generator just over 10 meter inside in the core and core is 1,5 meter high gives 100 Mva, with the guys on the pictures .
