RE: Weird noise from my A60
I too have the Hacker A60-5S 28 pole motor in a Mythos with the OS 1100 HV ESC - I know there have been problems with the Hacker Q80 series 28 pole motors with this ESC, however, mine seems OK with the A60-5S BUT I did have to change the timing from 25° (Hacker spec) to 22° (23° also OK) - at 25° I got the grumbling sound - loss of sync - at about 2/3 throttle. Ran APCe 20x11 - 2550W & currently running PT 20x12 - 2650W. Zippy Compact 8S 25C batteries. Steve

Dave, What type of planes were you using the 6110e in? - it's a indoor/parkflyer only Rx for small electric/non-powered aircraft Steve

RE: BJ Craft - Nuance 120
Andy, The 6S, 8S, 10S debate was well discussed on the RCG Sebart Mythos thread - the Mythos 125 is designed for 6S but it appears the majority either go 8S or 10S. On 6S it's pulling over 100A & then is marginal on flight time for a schedule esp. if windy. I have a wind 110 (similar in size to the Nuance 120) & a Mythos (not far from a full 2M), both on 8S 5000 packs - for the Nuance 120 I would recomend 8S as the minimum. The wind 110 is ideal on 8S, the Mythos is marginal, if I were to do the Mythos again I would go 10S with light 4400mA packs. Mike, you are correct car size is a big factor for this size of plane - even with a US mid-size SUV I notice the ease of transporting the wind 110 vs. the Mythos 125. Steve

RE: Miss Wind 50 Trimming Problems
Bob, Go to the Miss Wind 50 thread in the RCU Electic Pattern forum, here's the link http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8633615/anchors_8633615/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#8633615 Several report the same thing as you have, it's caused, as you suspected by too much negative incidence on top wing You can change it by modifying the front hole of the centre post & wing struts, it's described in the above thread I have a Miss Wind 50, although haven't flown it much these past 2 years, however my top wing incidence was minus 2.5 degrees - changed it to minus 0.5 so I now have a net positive 0.5 of the 2 wings (bottom wing was positive 1 degree) & it flies with very little elevator trim Steve

RE: Sebart's new pattern ship MYTHOS
F3A UL / Chris: As sales tax / VAT goes to the government & not the retailer or importer then it should not be included in any price comparison. Sebart price list for Mythos = 599 Euros - less VAT at 21% (Italy) & Euro to US $ FX of 1.22 = $604 Lindinger sell Mythos for 580 Euro's - less VAT at 20% (Austria) then $US cost is $590 UK street prices for Sebart planes can be 12.5% less than Area 51 list prices (e.g. Inwood Models) so I would expect the Mythos (when available over there) to cost around 471 pounds incl VAT at 20% which is about US$610 excl VAT !! And then I could say that Sebart planes are even cheaper in Singapore than Euope but I believe my point has been made... Don't forget my comment on Extreme Flight, their planes don't have the US price "premium" - in fact they are cheaper in the US than Europe ! I am pleased that the US importer, Thunder Power, are reviewing their pricing. I do understand it is them that set the price !! Steve

RE: Sebart's new pattern ship MYTHOS
Based on the 3" fire-wall to cowling distance the prop face of a hacker A60-5S would protrude 6.8mm or 1/4"- it's also 100g heavier & then you have batteries that are heavier too (than the as designed 6S pack) so that could be a problem too. As an owner of several Sebart planes the biggest issue I have is how much they cost in the US. They are typicaly 40% more expensive than they are in Europe. Note the European price list includes VAT (Sales Tax) which ranges from 19 to 21% depending on country. Based on Euro prices the Mythos should be $600 in the US ! - Oh & the Wind 2M should be $1500 ! Compare this to, for example, the EF Vanquish 2M - now that is about 10% cheaper in the US than Europe - and the belief is they are made in the same factory in China ! Steve

RE: Sebart's new pattern ship MYTHOS
I too was looking at 8S options (same batts as my Wind 110). The A60-5S-V2 is 4oz (115g) heavier & also 10mm longer than the 6XS (motor mounting looks quite tight??). Batteries would also be 100-200g heavier than the designed 6S battery. A Scorpion 4035-250 might work on 8S, 30g lighter than the 6XS On 10S using say the A60-7S V2 & typical 4900-5000mA F3A batteries then the all-up weight will aproach 5Kg - I see F3A UL have some new 5S 4500mA batteries - 1120g for a 10S pack that would bring all up weight to about 4.9Kg which is still over 400g heavier than the designed weight - Obviously I don't know how this will affect flight performance ! RE: Sebart's new pattern ship MYTHOS
In the latest 2012 Sebart Catalog the Wind 110 is no longer listed. Also, the Mythos weight has been corrected - 3.65Kg without batterys. Another interesting point - Sebart shows the Mythos 6S set-up as a recomendation for the 140 class Su29's ! Steve

RE: New E.F. 48
John, APCE 12x6 should work just fine fine, tried other props but 12x6 was the best. On my Mk1 Vanquish ran this prop on 4S with the Torque 2814 (820KV) & WOT 41A/590W. Also tried the Thumper 4240 (900KV), same prop & got 52A/720W. Only issue I had with the Mk1 was it got blown around too much in the Scottish winds, how's the Mk2 in this respect ? Steve

RE: Sebart Wind 110
Hezik, Colin, I agree Hacker will say the A50-16L in the Wind 110 with 18x10 APCE is being used outside their "spec" Perhaps the issue is with Sebart - why use a motor outside Hacker spec.? On my Wind 110 I had my first A50-16L replaced, under warranty, by West London Models (UK Hacker agent) after only 19 flights because of a grinding noise (bearings?). I purchased another A50-16L whlst the 1st was being repaired/replaced, that too has started to become noisy, not as bad as the 1st motor though and 70 flights on it so far. I'm going to continue using it as is. Would like to see a response from either Hacker or Sebart on this issue but not holding my breath ! Steve

Sebart Wind 50e - MONOPLANE ??
Just noticed a Wind 50e MONOLPLANE listed in the 2010 Sebart pricelist. Has anyone seen this plane, what about the release date? This is not to be confused with the Miss Wind 50e BIPLANE, that is listed separatly (€ 309) or the Wind 110 (€ 399). Also, the Angel 50 still listed (at € 229). Here's the excerpt from the pricelist: NEW W50-WB Wind S monoplane - 50E WHITE / BLUE ELECTRIC or GLOW power € 239.00 NEW W50-YB Wind S monoplane - 50E YELLOW / BLACK ELECTRIC or GLOW power € 239.00 NEW W50 + motor set model kit + Hacker A50-16S + Master Basic 70 SB + 2 x APC 16x12E € 479.00 Steve

RCFlyboy99 I have over 200 flights on my Angel 50, Hacker A50-16S, Hacker 70A ESC, APC 16x10, Rhino 6S 4900's - more than enough power (1300W). It gets quite windy where I live and I believe the extra weight of the battery helps here. Steve

RE: Otop CG
John, I suspect the CG in the DVD has a "1" missing before the 7.5 - 9cm. i.e should be 17.5-19.0cm from LE. I have a copy of the Robbe instruction manual for the 3D OTOP (in German) and this shows the CG at 19.0cm from the LE at the root. regards, Steve

RE: Sebart Wind 110
John, Good to see the Wind flew well on 6S & with the Scorpion power set. See you have opted for the 17x10 vs 16x10 - what current are you drawing? You save lots of weight going 6S, my 8S version with 5400 EON Lites or Rhino 4900's weights 4.25Kg (9lb 6oz), flies fine at this weight though. Yes, throttle curve helps, I use a curve on both my Wind & Angel 50. Steve

tIANci, why not try a 18 x 8 - should be about the same pitch speed on 10S as the 18 x 10 is on 8S I have a Wind 110 - standard Hacker Motor, 18 x 10, 8S. 10 flights so far & flies much better than my Angel 50. Steve
