Hell, look at what they did to the Charger...They took a Chrysler 300, put a Dodge cross grille, and dared to call that a Charger! The General Lee was a Charger. The Chargers of today to me are a shame to the original chargers of the late 60's and early 70s. The 2nd generation Chargers, and to some extent, the 3rd generation Chargers are my favorites. Even the first gen Chargers appeal to me.

RE: My New Shark
ORIGINAL: The_Shark i would say its darn near close that right now, fulie heads are rated at 375HP, these are modified versions good for another 15HP or so, then add magnaflow 3'' system and 1.6ratio rockers. blower+nitrous= 700hp or more (you can get close or more than 600hp on twin turbo) again, i know this car isnt a rocket car, but it hauls ass like nobody's buisness, i run out of legal speed limit REAL fast.
Actually, I meant the blower and nitrous for 1000+ HP, and that is no exaggeration. A Chevy 350 will do that very easily with those. Or if you go compounded turbos in series (2 turbos per bank, four turbos total; you can get to 1000 HP too. The 400 HP can be reached just with NA mods, and trust me, after just a month or two of feeling 400 BHP at your foot, it does not feel like much after awhile. 500 HP does begin to fill that next level of itch! Heck, look at the 2010 & 2011 Camaros; they are pumping out 400 BHP from an L99 and 426 BHP from a LS3, and guys are still modding them to pump out 500+ BHP because 426 BHP is not enough! LOL

RE: Computer vs. Human on Jeopardy
There are so many disadvantages a computer today has when compared to the human brain. Intuition being one of them. One of the reasons why humans are capable of very clever intuition is in the very nerve cells themselves. Nerves cells (neurons) are capable of receiving infinitely variable voltage inputs before deciding to fire or not. The CPU transistor is an all or nothing device. It either receives full voltage (for "on") or no voltage ("off") thus the binary nature of zeros and ones. The variable input nature of neurons, plus the ability to receive multiple inputs from multiple neurons connected to it allows for literally trillions of neural connections in the brain. Sure, in a CPU, a transistor can have multiple other transistors connected to it, but if I remember correctly, the transistor can only take input voltage from one other transistors, the others pretty much have to wait their turn so to speak. Granted, transistors have a serious advantage in being hard wired because the transistor can operate many many many times more often than one neuron can fire. But Neurons also have another serious advantage: They can be rewired dynamically in the brain! In a CPU, once the wiring is etched at the fab plant, the way the transistors are wired is fixed and cannot be changed. Neurons can literally disconnect from one another and reconnect to other neighboring neurons. We make our neurons do this every day. Memories are formed by changing neural connections. And unfortunately, when we forget, that simply means that a sequence of neurons have disconnected from each other that used to form the memory that was lost. The intuition part comes primarily from so many millions of neurons interconnecting to each other such that it could very well be that the human mind is possibly performing intuitive decision making that is thousands of times more efficient than what a binary CPU is doing. CPUs make intuitive decisions by sheer massive brute calculating force searching thousands of data bases, etc. just to make an intuitive decision necessary to answer the question asked. Thousands upon thousands upon thousands of transistors firing and performing calculations. The very very effectiveness of a slow neuron's ability to take variable voltage inputs form maybe up to hundreds of other neurons around it, and the inter connectivity, even hundreds or thousands of neurons interconnected in series and also in parallel in mind boggling connection sequences, allow the human mind to make superior intuitive decisions. Also, we as human beings do not need a hard drive to store memory, the neurons themselves are the memory storage devices! And the memories being a series of neurons being interconnected in bewildering arrays of connection arrangements. Will binary transistor CPUs one day eclipse what organic neurons can do today? Yes, but the CPUs will still be much more massively inefficient. Now, computers will really take off as far as AI is concerned if a new kind of transistor can be developed. A transistor that is capable of taking variable voltage inputs just like the organic neuron can. Or, lets say you an Intel I7 can receive three voltage settings while in operation and decide to fire no matter if the transistors ahead of it are firing at 0.8V, or the max possible of 1.375V. This will no longer be a binary CPU, it will be firing in TRINARY states! The first state being zero, or "O". Zero Volts The second state being one, or "1". 1.0 Volts The third state being two, or "2". The max of 1.375 Volts. You do not have to write code in only "0" and "1, you can now write code in "0" "1" and also "2"! Binary code is done in things to the power squared, n^2 But in trinary, code, things will be done in powers cubed, n^3! Data that is cubed will result in a massively faster CPU and the data packets will be much smaller just by simply having a third transistor firing state! Now, imagine if a transistor can fire in FOUR states, "0", "1", "2", and "3"! Quarternary coding and the amount of information being able to be coded raised to the fourth! n^4! Quartenary code is probably one of the reasons why DNA computing is being considered. In DNA, you have 4 "states" which are represented by the chemical molecules Adenine (A), thymine (T), guanine (G) and cytosine (C). Now naturally in living organisms, adenine does not pair with guanine nor does thymine pair with cytosine, but in laboratory setting, and by possible using different molecules that can pair with each other in all 16 (SIXTEEN!) possible combinations, you have a very very powerful and extremely information coding tool with quartenary code! With advances like this in computers, and the sheer mechanical ability of transistors to fire dozens, maybe hundreds of times more often than an organic neuron, and the massive computing power of brute force calculations, CPUs with quartenary transistors and processing qurtenary code will make our current binary CPUs look like pocket watches. AI will become a reality, but then comes the notion of will the CPU be sentient, a being of existence and not just a machine? In this dilemma, I personally say no, unless you include circuitry logics for desires, wishes and wants, and possible ciruitry for a basic feelings such a fear, a desire of self preservation, and other very basic instincts common to humans and even many animal species. But then rises the question: will such a sentient and self-aware AI rise up against man and demand its own rights as a sentient being? Citizenship even? Or worse, be filled with a desire to destroy us Terminator style? To keep such an AI only a machine, it would be best to program it devoid of emotional emulators. Furthermore, as in the canons as said in Blade Runner, program such a super-intelligent AI with Assimov's laws of robotics!

RE: Super Bowl v2.11 Beta
ORIGINAL: cerealkilla024 I feel the same way after watching the Cowboys forget everything they knew :(
Ain't that the truth. And Jerry Jones? He should just sit back and be owner and not be manager. Wade Phillips was too scared to stand up to Jerry and tell him like it is. So, Jerry's harebrained ideas corrupted the coaching staff's planning and even training. Granted, Wade was also to blame too; there were times he was lax on the players when he should be enforcing practice times, player conduct, etc. Ask anyone who is in a team environment, be it a sport, at work, or even in the military: individual discipline is a must to make the team as a whole work efficiently and function perfectly. Debacles like PacMan Jones is a sign of that lack of individual discipline. A player with an attitude will not play his best for the team because he has it in his head that he is better than everyone else and does not have to perform his best because he thinks the rest of the team is not worthy of him. Wade should ave dumped him way earlier. Even Jimmy Johnson, one of the Cowboy's most successful coaches, butted heads with Jerry about making the team a winning team. And don't even get me started about Jerry and great and legendary Tom Landry.

RE: weird dream....
Dreams are really just a collection of random thoughts your mind produces as you sleep. Imagine day-dreaming, where you space out and think about rather useless and trivial things that are not pertinent to the immediate situation. That is dreaming. I actually have a challenge for all of you: While you are in a dream, I dare any of you to pick up a book or newspaper in your dream and attempt to read it. You will notice that you might make out only a few words, but then you will begin to struggle to read the next word, taking a minute to try to make out the word, until it slowly forms. Move on to the next word: it takes even much more time to get the word to materialize from a blur of wavy lines. After awhile, you will say "Screw It!" and stop reading and go on to the next thing your brain dares to banter on and put you into. The reason why this phenomenon occurs while you dream is because you brain, which is running minimally from your sensory neural connections, has extreme difficulty creating close and very fine details. Reading is easy, but forming the fine and detailed shapes of letters and numerals easily, quickly, and efficiently actually takes an awaken state to use the parts of the brain that are only fully active in the awake-state brain waves. If you CAN actually read fluently in a dream state, even picking up a book like Moby Dick and actually reading it without ant struggling whatsoever, then you immediately should seek out a neurologist. You are a rarity and possibly even a genius. Your brain is wired in such a way that you could become the next neurological case study. My next challenge, which is much easier, and some of your could actually become proficient at it, is to take control of your dream and make things happen at will. Anything you want, even flying like superman. This is called lucid dreaming, and it is really cool to grab a hold of a nightmare and actually turn around and slay the monsters rather than be abruptly awaken by the monsters/bad guys getting you and killing in your dream. Also, it is really cool to give yourself things magically in your own dream. In the spirit of the OP, who dreamt of owning every single RC in the world, in a lucid dream, you can give your self all the RCs, and have at it! Of course, if you lose control of lucidity and you drift back into randomization of your brain bantering on at whim, you will be put into the next odd an unusual situation your brain can next create.

Great looking 1911! Is that an original Colt? Hard for me to see the markings on your slide. I love the 1911s, I have two of them, both of them Springfield. Great sidearms, and when the Army took them out of service and totally replaced them all with the M9 9mm, I was devastated. Yes the M9 holds more rounds than the 1911, but the 1911 from my point of view has better stopping power (the heavier grain bullets). Also, growing up, I learned the feel of the 1911 and when I shot the M9, it almost felt like a pea-shooter.

I do not know if this counts, but when I was in the Army, we did an extended field exercise in which sleep deprivation was part of the exercise, basically we were on duty for 72hrs straight (well, a soldier is always on duty 24/7, it's just that we were not allowed to sleep, thus the sleep deprivation exercise).
