RE: P-47d 1:5 from Russia.
For deatailed photos of the P47 above, go to www.aircraftresourcecenter.com and look under Walkarounds for P47 Jackys Revenge. I have a 1/5 model from a Kranz kit in Germany ready to go this year in the same scheme. See it on www.rwmac.com and click on the main page photo, regards, Brian Hewson SCALEFANATIC

Carb for ZDZ 40RV
I have a ZDZ 40RV with a Bing 48 carb which has now got difficult to start. It is quite old and I thought that a carb replacement might be the answer. Anyone know if a Walbro WJ 71 carb will work on the 40? Scalefanatic

RE: JWM 2007
Got to Enniskillen for a rain free Thursday 12th and Friday morning. I thought the flying was excellent but the event could have been made more interesting for spectators by announcing a few of the pilot/ model details before they flew, i,e, pilot name, country, model and engine type, size and weight. I know it's a competition and not the Jetpower show in Germany which I have attended each year but it would have given us a little more info. Also some results lists available to spectators on the site. Otherwise the organisation seemed to be first class I have some photos which I'll put up as time permits Brian Hewson, Dublin, Ireland Andy Lau from China sports a great sun hat but we didn't have too much of that

RE: MB339 3/5 view
John, Jetpower German jet mag has 5 viewsand sections in Issue 4 of 2004. A version only. There is an excellent book calles Aeromacchi MB339 by Maurizio Di Terlizzi, with English text, ISBN 88-86815-63-8, IBN-Istuto Bibliografico Napoleone, Via Mingazzini, 7-00161, Rome, www.aviolibri.it with 5 views. A and CD versions. Colin Straus missed the modification to the nose in his recently completed CD conversion Let me know if you find any other sources. If you want, I can copy and send the plans to you, Regards, Brian Hewson

RE: Google Earth R/C Club Pics
Here is a view of the Roundwood Model Aero Club site, Co. Wicklow, Ireland under development probably taken 9 months ago. A group of us bought 18 acres of forest, cleared around 10 acres. Note the cars parked, 12m x 4.8m clubhouse in front and picnic area to northeast. All runways are now grassed, safety fence installed and flying has commenced. 3 Runways around 190metres x 12 metres gives 6 directions, Brian Hewson http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=Roundwood,+ireland&ie=UTF8&t=k&om=0&z=18&ll=53.077592,-6.230321&spn=0.001312,0.005364&iwloc=A

Roland Raith Phantom on runway, Sunday morning. Phantomstaffel started the flying despite bad hazy conditions pushing visibility to the limit. Very effective 'flares' fired in flight.
