RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.
Does anyone know if a set of SC wheels will fit the ST? I'm thinking conversion but because of the bearings in the front wheels it might be hard to find something to work...Any ideas???

Are you going to run brushed or brushless and what motor do you have for it or going to get?

RE: rebuilding an rs4 3
If you run into any issues along the way let us know. I have one too that I rebuilt. Also I want to mention too when installing the fuel tank reverse it around with the hose at the bottom of the tank facing towards the front of the car. It will prevent the fuel line from getting chewed up by the clutch bell gears. I used a couple of spare shock O-rings to support it up off the chassis a bit and provide more cushion.

RE: Hpi Sprint 2 PROBLEM
I'd say it's the ESC...How long have you had the car? Try giving HPI a chance and see if they will replace it. I wouldn't tell them about the gear issue though... Sounds like it may have over heated at some point....

RE: OFFICIAL HPI Sprint 2 Thread (Sport and Flux)
I switched over to the hop up ones from HPI for the front and rear and love them in my FLUX. Added a little bling too! I also switched out the dog bones for universals too and the drive train seems way better then the stock set-up. Must have upgrades IMO.

RE: Hpi Sprint 2 PROBLEM
Have you adjusted the pinion or the spur gear? Maybe it is binding and that is what is causing the issue?

RE: Hpi Sprint 2 PROBLEM
The crystals I was referring to look like these. The black one is located on the front of the controller just in front of the steering wheel and the other one is plugged into the receiver which is mounted on you car. Here's a link to what they look like. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXEVA6&P=7 If nobody else chimes in I would try HPI's Support center before buying a new ESC and see if they have an answer for you. If it is the ESC, Tower Hobbies has a boat load of ESC's to choose from too. Here's the link to that... http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0095P?FVSEARCH=ESC http://www.hpiracing.com/support/ I wish I was more of a help to you. I don't have that ESC so not sure....Let me know what is is if you contact HPI... Good luck, Jeff

RE: how do i take off and install hard drift tires?!?
What wheels are you trying to install? If you are trying to install HPI Wheels on HPI rims, I stuck the rim in the freezer for a couple minutes and boiled the wheel for a minute and was able to get them to pop on. I have also done this same procedure with ABS wheels. Try not to boil the wheel for much more then that. It could permanetly distort them and oh, boiling water will burn you so wear protective gloves. ;)

RE: Hpi Sprint 2 PROBLEM
A couple things you can check... Make sure transmitter antenna is extended all the way up when in use and is screwed down. Check to make sure that the crystals are full seated. If you have the SC-15 ESC has it over heated? Apparently that ESC has a built in fail-safe function and will cause your car to drive like it was in your video if overheated. If it does over heat you need to stop driving it immediatly and let it cool down before use again. Did the car come with a manual for the ESC? Their might be some more trouble shooting ideas in there. I notice too that you were powering up the car before the transmitter. Try reversing the procedure; you could end up with a run away if you continue this practice. See if this makes a difference too. Good luck and let us know what you find out.

RE: TT-01 or e10
ORIGINAL: Derigor which ever is easier for you to get spare parts for. It was easier for me to get HPI parts locally (they tend to have a good US distributor to my LHS's) while Tamiya parts I'd have to get through evilBay or from online stores. Both are very good affordable beginner cars.
I think he said it best! There is nothing worst then waiting for parts to ship... I would do this...take the pro's and con's for each and come to a conclusion base on the info you gather and decide base upon your results. Either way you can't go wrong. Both HPI and Tamiya make good quality RC's. I was in the same boat as you a while ago and ended up not even getting what I origanally wanted. I ended up getting a Sprint 2 Flux...

RE: onroad Hilux?
For the Sprint you don't want to go anything less then 0mm offset. I have even heard of guy's complaining that even with 0mm offset that the rub on the shocks...You may have to widen the body to get it to fit properly.

RE: onroad Hilux?
Well, when I look at Tower they list the specs for the shell. The width is where you are going to run into a problem....only 177mm wide...hmmm. I hope this helps. This is the Front Body for the Toyota Hilux, TAMC0913. FEATURES: White plastic pre-trimmed construction INCLUDES: One front body REQUIRES: Painting and installing on chassis SPECS: Length: 10" (254mm) Width: 7" (177mm) Height: 5" (121mm)

I bought mine for the LHS but can be found on Tower like mentioned above. I have the "Works" wheels by HPI and they have many other styles too if you do not like them.

RE: help with wheels on associated tc4
To make it easier on yourself why don't you get some wheels with 3mm, 6mm or 9mm offset to compensate for the wider body? I mounted 6mm offset rims and 9mm offset in the rears on my Sprint to fill out the wheel wheels with this 200mm Fire bird shell. It should be the same principal for your TC4.
