how too need advice, tips trick
Covering or recovering is not my thing... here is the story I got an airplane nothing fancy nothing spectacular but it will work for what i need it for. aerial photography. airplane is ready to fly just need to replace rx batt. but the covering is BAD and i mean BAD holes in the wing, and you can tell there is layer upon layer of covering on it. Some areas are even covered with packing tape to fix holes. We started to remove the old covering and some came off great, other areas, well you can tell it was CA'd down to hold while shrinking. Whats the best way to remove covering? I want to get it all off and put some clean ultracote on. So what are the best ways to get it off. Also, because i am not trying to make this thing perfect, is it ok to cover over some of the smaller areas say dime size or less? thanks

RE: jet central smoke pump
Jumped in this one a little late. To answer the power questions, battery range is in fact 4.8 throug 7.4 for best performance. Our system is "instant on - off" by design and the flow rate is controlled by the battery chosen; ie: 4.8 will deliver a nice flow rate, however, 7.2 - 7.4 puts out dense smoke. As for nozzles or spray bars, you can use one or two. Two are supplied. Andy Kane's big twin Super Eagle powered F-15 uses one spray bar per turbine which generates awesome smoke using 7.4 v 2s2p LiIon Duralite pack. Instant off due to the use of a solenoid gives the security of no residual oil drip. Smoke system package complete with everything except battery sells for $225.00 and is in stock at our Florida office. We will have smoke systems at GA. Jets Super Jets South. Look forward to seeing everyone. Any questions, pleased feel free to email me @ jetartessales@aol.com Best regards, Eric

Pete: I know you received a manual with the turbine you purchased. Manual clearly states 2.5% oil to every 5 gallons. You may use 5% however, it is not necessary. Regards, Eric Clapp

RE: Can I get a WITNESS???
Dont mess with my family, or my fellow service members/Vets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone who served this country no matter what there Job was has my respect. And I would stand beside anyone of them. I served, was not in the rear, always in the mix, but let me tell you I respect the Cooks we had just as much as my fellow team members who were right beside me when things got crazy. Much respect to Mr Watson. He had it ten times worse than I did. So it does not matter if your a cook, supply SGT , Radio opp or out in the mix each role is important in its own and supports the actions of the Unit as a whole. enough said

RE: Custom paint available for YOUR jet!!!!
The true flames are Sick with the Skulls blended into um. what a lot of people do not understand when you tell them a 2k or 3k paint job is the amount that actually goes into the price of the paint. I needed two colors for touch up and it was 180.oo smackers just for the two pints. then there is the hardener , and the flex additive ( if being used) then there is the labor that goes into the prep before you even get to paint..... Jobs look great.

RE: Der Jet Model new product F-9f8 cougar and video
ORIGINAL: meps I really appreciate the update as I'm following the progress of this airplane very close. Just as Tres said, we'll each be getting one after all the testing and reports are done. I assumed that this project had been dropped due to lack of post concerning the airplane after it was posted that more videos and such would be posted very soon. It is one of my favorite models. I've owned three smaller cougars that were ducted fan models in the past and truly loved them. If at vall possible, I would like to see pictures of kit components. How robust are the gear? Once again, Thanks for the update. Steve
As soon as the next kit gets to FL I will take pictures of the components included, and post them on the web site. www.jetcentralusa.com . I also am working on publishing the manual to the same site.

RE: JET FLIGHT INSTRUCTION?
ORIGINAL: seanreit One tidbit of information I pass on to potential jet freeks, if you see enough value in building a turbine or high end airplane like that EDF you've got there, you are more than likely ready to fly such an animal. Very rare does someone put together a good looking jet and then not have the skill to tackle it. So run with the odds and have a blast! RE: Jets Over Kentucky Week
Lewis, I simply had a blast. You had me on the run a lot, but we do what we have to do. The GA Jet guys, Shane, Jed and the rest of them volunteered for trash duty each and every day picking up everyone's trash bags to keep the pit area clean. The T 28 event was great to watch. I know next year that I will have a T-28 so i can participate. Even though there were only a few flight line personal it ran like clock work. Everyone was there to have a good time, and I think that everyone had a great time. I know that I did. A lot of laughs were shared and new friends made. I'll be back and as i said before I am going to try to talk my wife into coming as well. Jullian will be walking by then and he will have to tag along. I still cant figure out what Paul is going to do with the Velox xl.... Maybe clipping the wings or something LOL. Great time, great food, great friends, great flying and some spectacular saves.
