RE: Mcpx what has failed you?
I figured to play it safe, when all parts are available I am going to order a few servos and tail booms to keep on hand. This heli is to much fun to give up on.

RE: Mcpx what has failed you?
ORIGINAL: invertedthoughts Are you certain the servos weren't actually damaged in the crashes? Just wondering how you know for sure the servos failed?  If you are using a DX6I have you checked the potentiometers or seen if it has a date code that would require it be sent in for repair/replacement? Maybe since it was the same problem with both helis something else is going.
I never even considered checking th radio. Good looking out. The one servo did fail in flight the heli became really hard to control, when I landed I noticed that there was no movement on the left servo and it smelled burned. My thinking is to park both helis until all parts are available for them once all parts are available I will more than likely rebuild. . Great deployment heli by the way.

Mcpx what has failed you?
I have two mcpx's, both have had servos fail. Not sure if I want to spend the money to fix them or not. The failed servos happend in flight both resulting in tail booms being damaged. Anyone else have this problem? Not sure if I am going to fix them or sell them for parts. On of the booms was repairable, the other well it more or less exploded. Anyone else have any problems with the mcpx?

RE: Getting a hold of Eric
I spent close to three hours going through each and every page at www.jetcentralusa.com trying to find the mistake, checking each link. After sending test email via the contact page, ect.... And going through it all a second and third time I finally Checked the site based out of Mexico, though it is was correctly written in the contact section of the Mex based site the wording it self was linked incorrectly. I notified Eric that his site www.jetcentralusa.com was good to go and that the error was actually on the other site. Thank you for pointing this out to us Best regards Travis
ORIGINAL: jclittle Thanks guys, I cut and paste it right from the web site. I will let Eric know its not right.
RE: Best mods for MCPX
I have had the mcpx for about a month. It is my first heli more or less. I had a friend set it up for me as he is a heli guy, but when he was doing so he crashed it into the wall and brook the tail boom. I have very carefully put the boom back together with a small amount of ca and electrical tape, as I am deployed a trip to the hobby shop is not possible. The heli flys great even with the busted boom. My question is this, the stock boom , motor combo is not in stock at horizon, what should I up grade it with in place of the oem part? Other upgrades I should look at. Thanks in advance

I hope to be home for Christmas, that's the plan as of now. We will have to get together and hit Te range or the field at least once, but then again I am not sure how big my honey due list will be by the time I get home. Lol. RE: So what would you do in this situation?????
Most respectable golf courses have insurance for this type of incident. Note key word is respectable.
ORIGINAL: AndyAndrews lol, $1000 car vs 10K jet.. priceless. How about a broken window in your house from a kid throwing a baseball? Hey kids will be kids right? Or a golf ball going through a window at a golf course.. Try to get away without paying for that one! ''Yeah, but people put their house on that golf course so they should expect to get their windows broken'', wah, wah, wah say the responsibility avoidance crowd. LoL, like I said, try to get away without paying for the damages.
And as for being 300lbs and seven feet tall , holding someone prisoner at the club, lol that's funny.

RE: So what would you do in this situation?????
I don't understand how anyone could think that violence, or getting even is the key to solving the problem, joke or not, accidents do happen. Before I get slammed, when I started flying turbines, I flew my fathers boomerang and then one day mid air, now I know the boomerang is not the jet model of all jet models , but the other plane was a small nitro model. The boomerang was a complete loss, where the pilot of the small nitro plane some how managed to land what was left of his airplane. Whose fault was it, I couldn't tell u, probably mine as I was the spotter for my father, but then again maybe it was the other guys because he didn't have a spotter. The individual flying was beyond sorry, but so was I and so was my father, no one pointed the finger at anyone it was an accident and accidents happen, now I know that my situation being a mid air is not the same as the situation here, but i feel that by all parties staying calm and actually being civil with each other kept the accident from escalating and three people who flew together almost every weekend friends. I understand that the individual who caused the accident was or came off as a real piece of work but come on. I know that we can't get along with everyone, hell, I'll be the first to admit that I used to be that guy not to let go. I guess I grew up. We have to be the bigger person. Acting like middle school kids isn't going to make the situation better. Threatening violence will get you know were but in trouble. No matter who was at fault acting like an adult is what separates us from them, outsiders looking in get to see who the real man is and who the child is. Do I think the owner of the jet has the right to be upset, yes with out a doubt, do I think the owner of the mustang should have handled it different, oh yeah. Kindness goes a lot further than disregard of the situation, the threat of violence Or anger. I am sure that some of you will disagree with my thoughts and opinions which is fine, to each his own, but this is a hobby, it is supposed to be fun, we should be able to enjoy our time at the field, have fun and enjoy the company of our fellow rc'ers no matter what they fly.

RE: cant go flying!!!!!!!!!
if your going to do it do it right, the zip lock bags that I have my lunch in at the field should be plenty big to take home the receiver, engine and what servos may be found:) on another note, I have nit flown at a club field in some time being that I am deployed, being that where we fly is right on the wire the chances of needing a bag at all are slim to non. Lol
ORIGINAL: dasquirrelisme I never take more than 1 plane to the field..I figure if im going to leave with a trashbag of balsa 1 bag is enough.
RE: Wow the used jet market sucks to be selling right now!!!
ORIGINAL: highhorse
ORIGINAL: bevar Guys, I was serious about the paint comment. Many many people do not like ''air brushed'' paint schemes on their planes. Primarily they look like crap in the air and hinder it's ability to be seen easily airborne. Back in the IMAC days, my sponsor begged me to fly the airbrushed ships, going beyond giving me 40%s for free but I always politely declined and took more conventional, scale painted birds. Sure, Jeremy put a nice shine on his jet, but IMHO it diminishes the saleability, because it is what he likes...but apparently not many others do. Beave
Whaaaaaat a friggin shame that you'd make such a classless, useless comment. There was just NO reason to go there unless you were trying to be beligerent.
Another problem with custom paint jobs is that it is a pain in the rear to match it up if there were a tip strike or gear failure. making it in my eyes something harder to sink the money into to purchase. Like beave said, you have a smaller market when it comes to custom paint. Not saying that custom airbrush jobs are not nice, just something that i also tend to stay away from as a customer. FYI i think some of your work is pretty sick , oh and sick is a good thing incase you didnt know
