RE: cowl cutting- no one doing 2/1 for cooling
I believe on the models that you see with stacks sticking out of small holes, if you look further back towards the rear of the cowl you will see a larger opening to let the air out. Just a thought

RE: 41% RUDDER SERVOS
Thanks Ben. I'm going to assemble one of these for a friend and he said he wanted rudder servos in the tail. From the link you provided they look like they go near the leading edge of the stab. I just got to look at the plane briefly before he put it in his storage building. Sam

RE: B25 CRASHES AT PRATTVILLE,AL
Tim you were right they were behind the plane when it took off and quickly moved to the edge of the runway when one engine quit. There were two guys flying the plane with two different radios and two helpers. I'm not sure how the piloting duties where divided between the two radios. Sam

RE: B25 CRASHES AT PRATTVILLE,AL
One of the engines quit on the down wind leg after takeoff and they didn't quite make the turn back to the field. I'm not sure who's plane it was but it was nice with electric starters on the engines and a rotating turret on top. The guy whose leg it clipped was ok. The guy that took the video was from the Chattanooga, Tn area. His name was Allen but I didn't catch his last name. Sam

RE: QQ 102" Yak - Discussion and Build thread
Rick it sounds like the low end is to rich. Use a tach and peak out the high end and back off several hundred. Then slowly squese the bottom down until it clears up when you roll. Then go back and check high needle again to make sure its still ok. That's what we did with my 106. Hope this helps Sam

RE: 3W 106 Muffler install help....
I'm using the Johnsons and the smoke nipples go to the firewall side. Remember the cylinders are staggered and when the mufflers are installed you want the exhaust outlets to line up. If you install them backwards, one outlet will end up further back than the other. Sam

I went through the same dececisions when building mine. I ended up cutting mine in and leaving 2 inches at the root. I also cut the angle to match the fuselage.

I had the Q52 on an ohio rc ultimate bipe about the same weight. Anyway the 20 x 10 Menz S worked best for me. The 20 x 10 Zinger just didn't pull that good. Never used one on that plane but you might try the 20 x 10 Pro Zinger
