RE: Tower does it again! Updated 12/21/11
My father has been shopping with Tower since the '70's, until he quit flying right before his passing. I have used them as well for years with 100% success. Had a bad Tower .46 engine a couple years ago, no sweat, BAM new engine on my doorstep. I like Tower but still try to buy locally when I can. It's a shame I have to drive a minimum 20 miles to get to a LHS..But I'll do it when I can.

RE: NITROMODELS REPLACEMENT PARTS REQUEST_Post Here
Any odds of getting a replacement cowling (Engine cover) for this plane: http://www.nitroplanes.com/ex3309063arf.html I would pay for one if I can get one ordered and shipped.

Would this be a decent replacement for the E-flight 60 or 90 series motor? Less $$$ for sure! http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idproduct=7709

RE: Nitro Models Extra 330 90 - 63
I've decided after finishing mine with the GMS .76 that I want to go electric to save the covering and I'm tired of nitro anyway...So I have to ask (And I will re-read the entire thread as well), what should I run for motor/ESC/batt to make mine have a power to weight ratio for 3D hovering and good vertical? Anyone need a never run GMS .76?

RE: Heli stuff and fellowship
Hey everyone! I'm a fixed wing wienie by tenure but have owned and repeatedly tore up a Blade CP Pro...Have been outta helis for a while but itchin' to get back at it now that I have a better idea how to fly one!! Looking at a 450 size electric...Any thoughts on a decent one? Thinkin' a Blade 400 or Axe 400 but I dunno....was pretty clueless when I was flyin' my CP Pro, but now I can do most anything I want on a realflight version 5, which I KNOW isn't the same but the principles are though...Just need a little stick time to get used to the particular model I am on..

RE: Futaba fasst 2.4??????
Which Transmitter were you using? Were you in range check mode? I have a 7c 2.4gh and have had no issues. Sounds like you simply had a range problem, or were pointing the short antennae in the transmitter at the aircraft. Are the small antennae in the plane routed 90 degrees apart?

[quote]ORIGINAL: fast_eddie70 SPADinfluence - Have you started assembly? Just curious on what you are doing and if you are having the same problem with ballancing this plane. [/quote] I am moving in like a week and a half, so I don't want to strew it all over and then lose half of it moving. I did take it all out of the box and check it all out. No damage from shipping and looks fairly easy

RE: nitro planes extra 300s????
Mine came yesterday that I ordered from them. Very well done IIHO. Needs a little reinforcement in spots but overall a good plane for the $$$.

RE: Nitro Models Extra 330 90 - 63
Got mine today. And after looking it over, I wouldn't try to put a gasser in it. Way too light a plane. But a 120 ought to yank it around with authority! The fit and finish was really good, better than a lot of the stuff at my LHS. Looks well put together, and like all ARF's, needs little reinforcement here and there to really wring it out, but overall a super cool plane for the money! The instructions had my girlfriend and I totally cracking up!!! Funny reading there I tell you!

RE: 725r Ryobi needs a home-Which plane?
That DPS is the bomb! I am thinking about a corocub like this one.. [image]http://www.spadtothebone.com/SPAD/corocub/CoroCub_1.jpg[/image] Or the ultra Spadstick.. [image]http://www.spadtothebone.com/SPAD/ultraspadstick/page_1.jpg[/image] Think it will work for the weight to have plenty of power? http://www.spadtothebone.com/freeplans.htm I'm thinking of blowing it up 150% from the plans. With a clipped wing it comes in at like 90 span and around 12 lbs. What you guys think?
