Hi, I've seen the Panzer III, very cool! Have a look at the Panzer III Forum on the Armortek website for more information and pictures. As Rivetcounter states the Panzer III's are sold out, though there are a few of the mid-production Tiger's left. Better hurry though! Sarah

RE: 5% or 10%
Hi Matador, Whereas in the USA higher percentages of Nitro are used, in England the tendency is to use lower nitro fuels. I've run the OS25FX's on 5% and they have run very well indeed. I do use 5% nitro fuel in all my two strike engines up to an OS120AX and soon an OS160FX. By using 5% nitro it allows a less critical mixture setting than with no nitro at all. However after more research I am going to move over to 10%, as this should allow a little more latitude on mixture setting without significantly increasing the cost of each gallon of fuel. Fuel, as with most things, is more expensive in England! (10% Nitro will cost an extra $4.5 dollars more than 5% nitro) Another of the important things to consider with your fuel is the oil content, at least 18% for the OS engines.

Hi Guys, I've finished my Angel and did the maiden flight today, very impressive! I've got the standard A50-16S setup with an 16x10 APC, the climb is so good. One little problem is that the Li-Po's (FP6S3700 & TP6S 5000) rest against the esc and it gets a little warm as there is no airflow over it. Has anyone resited the esc? Regards, Sarah

Showtime 50 - Engine choice
Hi Mike, After reading many threads I would be very grateful for your advice please. I am about to purchase a Showtime 50 and I am a little unsure about what engine would be best. I already have an OS46AX, do you think this would be great for flying Pattern and also learning a little 3D, or should I fit an OS 55AX or larger engine. Many thanks, Sarah

Hi Bassomatic, I see you have a plane next to your name now. The Twinstar is finished, the engines have been in to set the linkages but are waiting to be run-in. I'm just waiting for reasonable weather so I can bench run-in both engines. But it is England in Winter :) Sarah

RE: TF FW190 Engine choice?
Have you thought about electric. I'm working on mine now and I'm fitting a Hacker A50-12L with Thunder power 6S 5000 Li-Po. I used this setup in my H9 Mustang with an APC 15x8e prop and it was so nice to fly. Plenty of power/acceleration, would climb so well and I can get 10-12 minute warbird flights, or 15 minutes + stooging around. A friend of mine also fits sound systems into his, which reroduces the engine sound of the real aircraft. No mess after a flight and less vibration as well.

RE: Fuel tanks for Hobbico Twinstar
Hi Guys, Here are some photo's of the 6oz tanks in my Twinstar. They are Sullivan 6 oz FRST-6 Rectangular Flextanks, which have been carefully reshaped with a hairdryer. The tanks fill the bay very well, but I did have to take the rear bulkhead of the nacelle off to fit them in and also move the tube for the throttle linkage a little.

I've had a similiar problem with aircraft and the ESC was set to the wrong number of Li-Po cells. When it was set to the correct number of cells the problem went away. Has anyone any idea how to check the ESC to see what it is set for?

Hi Bassomatic, The tanks are positioned over the CofG so they won't affect the CofG at all, whether they are full or empty. Sarah

RE: New 400 Eflite update Anyone?
I'm about to set up a friend's B400 for Christmas as well. As he is a beginner I think I'll set up both flight modes to be -1/+5/+10 in pitch and both as the normal throttle range. This way if he flicks the flight mode switch nothing will happen. Once he can do circuits and is more confident then I'll change the flight modes back to factory settings. I think 30 to 50% +ve expo on cyclic and rudder will help as well. This should make the B400 a lot less twitchy when learing to hover.

RE: New 400 Eflite update Anyone?
I would have though a beginner pitch range would be more like -1 degree at the bottom (so it's harder to boom strike), +5 degrees at the middle stick position and +10 degrees at the top. This would make the hover a lot easier. Exponentional (+ve) on cyclic and rudder would also dampen the sensitivity around the mid stick points. What might be the advantage of the standard B400 pitch setup is that the hovering position in normal mode, at 3/4 stick position, would be about the same as the hover position when stunt, or flight mode 2 is selected. If so then the basic setup for the B400 is for advanced flying, allowing a smooth transition when moving from one flight mode to another. Could anyone more experienced expand or confirm this please.

Hi Wolfpakin, Thanks for your reply. I've always flown my nitro heli's where I hover at half stick. It seems a bit strange to be hovering at 3/4 stick for the Blade 400. Do you know why they set the heli up like this? Sarah

RE: New 400 Eflite update Anyone?
Hi Guys, I've got a Blade 400 for Christmas, but whilst Santa has taken delivery of the heli, I manged to hang on to the books to read before hand. It looks that in normal flight mode, the pitch setting at half stick is 0 degrees, with hovering flight at about 3/4 stick position (5 degrees). Is this right? Regards, Sarah
