RE: EPIC HD XL 6s Savage Flux Vid w/ Slo-Mo MUST SEE!!!
Thanks dude!! Yeah I will definitely be trying to land jumps like that first one in the future! That's why I leave my tires un-taped [:D] I have jumped that f-150 on accident believe it or not.. Went about 15 feet over the top of it and landed by the big wood pile. Definitely a good idea for a future vid! Thanks I could gear the truck to do 60+ mph but as it was in the video I bet it would do about 50 mph topped out on tar. Thanks for watching! [8D]

RE: Help: Savage Flux 2350
ORIGINAL: Cossey So I used to be into R/C about 10 years ago mainly using my brother's things, but now I have a couple of my own and need some help. I bought a Savage Flux 2350. I've done a little bashing and has taken quite a few hits (not holding a remote for a decade will do that I suppose), but there's a few things I want to upgrade before they give me any issue. I've been reading through threads on here for almost a week now, just seeing what is generally recommended. The only things set in stone to get are: HD drive gear (# 102514) and the Castle Link USB programming kit 1. I see most recommend the RPM suspension arms. Any reason for this over the HPI aluminum bits aside from price? 2. I'd like to do HPI's suspension upgrade (# 87245), but am concerned about compatibility with other things, such as the big-bore aluminum shock kit (# A720) and TCS's chassis upgrades (both extended and stock wheelbases). Is there anyone running all of these things together? 3. With the big-bore aluminum shock kit, what weight oil are you guys (if using them) using? 4. Should I be upgrading anything radio/transmitter wise? Right now I'm jusitng the radio/servos/receiver that came in the RTR set. 5. I'd like more stability in turns, is there anything I should do to perhaps widen the track that won't break anything else? 6. TCS's chassis upgrades: Would I be fine with their standard length upgrade (and does it make the body sit any higher?) or aside from straight line stability (less chance of flipping due to wheelies) are there any benefits to the extended chassis? I don't take it off of massive jumps yet, but I'm sure there will be a point where I will. I'll be sure to ask more questions as they come up, but I have nothing right now.
1. Get RPM arms. Aluminum arms bend. 2. HPI's racing susp. conversion will work with TCS chassis. I have heard numerous reports that the aluminum big bores leak - Stick with stock. 3. Big bores work best with 20-40 weight oil. I usually run 30wt 4. The stock radio and receiver - (as long as they are 2.4ghz versions) - work great. Keep them. Steering servo you might want to change if your truck isnt steering as well as you want. First I'd do the ball bearing upgrade though. 5. If you get offset wheels, it is putting you at risk for breaking more things. I prefer stock offset wheels. I WOULD get XL width axles though - these will add a bit of width. 6. TCS chassis are excellent. Either one will work great. Stock length will be more responsive in the air and would spin backflips quicker. I run XL and I still do endless wheelies and EPIC jumps/backflips. Id get XL personally. Your chassis layout will be less cramped. Check out my two Flux bashing videos. I am running TCS XL length TVPs in both videos. It will give you a good idea of the abuse they can take and also how they handle 6s. http://youtu.be/G1pWgIeLZPI http://youtu.be/zSlVYPDhs74 Hope this helped! Jon .

RE: HD 6s Flux vid -Big air, flips, wheelies, and breakage!!!!!!
ORIGINAL: JUCD VPR Nice video man. Very good control in the air! I need to fix my rear diff, I have blown three so far and I think it;s because of my Big joe tires and Chayenne wheels,. I believe they are to heavy and add more stress on the diffs and yes I have the bulletproof diffs.. Question, did you widen your wheel base?
My wheelbase front to back is XL length. side to side width - I use XL axles with associated wheel adapters (custom mod) so that must give me at least an inch per side (2" total) of width. In the first part of the vid I was running stock zero offset wheels but in the second part of the video where I blow my diff out I am using SPI aluminum full offset wheels which make the truck a LOT wider. Thanks for watching.

RE: HD 6s Flux vid -Big air, flips, wheelies, and breakage!!!!!!
ORIGINAL: HerrSavage Very cool vid.. Nice to see some big airs..
Thanks HerrSavage! More to come, stay tuned.
ORIGINAL: steed2 Awesome video. just not a fan of the xl length look. nice backflips though[:D][:D]
Thanks! I love xl. I think it looks sick and makes the truck MUCH easier to handle than with stock length TVPS. Its still a freakin handful though. I just about never give it full throttle unless im trying to rotate 3 or 4 backflips in the air. The power is just uncontrollable. Either way I have a stock legnth flux im getting ready to put together and I will definitely be getting some videos of that so stay tuned. Jon

RE: Magnum NX MT is gonna be my first CEN product.
As long as you let off the gas when landing jumps, you most likely wont need a slipper clutch. If it needed one, im sure CEN would have included it.

RE: 5 Best Trucks
LSTs make pretty good racers too but the main trucks you are seeing in the winners circle are revos and tnx's. Cant argue with facts.

RE: 5 Best Trucks
tbh, it all depends on the driver but the best out of box racers are the TNX and the Revo. As long as you dont use reverse on the track, how is it illegal??? It only costs 10 bucks to get FOC anyways...

RE: se of the low revsTMAXX jerking at low speed
Thats perfectly normal for it to jitter like that when u take off from a stop. Its caused from the reverse gears in the transmission. If you dont want it to do that anymore, you will need to get a forward only conversion (FOC).

Should I get an LST-2??
I was planning on picking up a new truck and was looking at the Revo, MGT, Savage, Warhead, etc. and I never really looked at the LST2 for two reasons. 1)I love shopping at TowerHobbies because the website is real easy to navigate (Tower doesnt carry Losi stuff) and 2)The design (for some reason, to me) looks a lot more complicated than the design of the other trucks listed. What are the solutions to my two problems? Is the LST easier to work on that it looks to me? Is there any other place besides Horizon that keeps lots of parts in stock? Are there any forums besides this one online that are more focused towards the lst? Also, what would the necesary upgrades to the LST-2 for bashing? Thanks a lot for any help.

Saw a revo for the first time yesterday...
I went to my LHS yesterday and the owner was breaking in a new 2.5r for someone. He didnt know Anything about the truck, lol. He was wondering why the truck was revving so high when he gunned it. I told him he put the clutch on wrong or its worn out or the slipper clutch is too loose. Anyways, the Revo seemed TINY compared to my old TNX [:)] I was thinking about getting one but i think i need something bigger than that...

This is the PM i got from him yesterday: Hey man....yeah, I got his e-mail. I sent him one back. It's a big screw up on my part. I feel really bad about it. I had a family emergency, and had to fly out of town. And I had messed up the mailing info on the package....so it came back. But I wasn't here. So, I have to resend it. I told him though....after apologizing a lot, that because of the trouble...I would send him not only his wheels, but also a brand new 2 channel Radio, and Reciever. I feel terrible about it...because I'm always fair and honest. It was just a big mistake on my part. I'm waiting to here his response to my e-mail. Think what ever you want [8|] Im outta this thread...

He said he's even willing to give you MORE stuff than you paid for. Minty would never intentionally try to rip anyone off dude, he's a really nice/helpful guy.
